WWE was set to dominate Tampa this weekend with four straight events at the Yuengling Center starting with Saturday Night’s Main Event on Saturday, NXT Battleground on Sunday, WWE Raw on Monday and NXT on Tuesday. The NXT show though is no longer going to happen at the venue.
According to Ticketmaster, the event has been canceled by the “event organizer” and anyone who purchased tickets will receive a full refund. There is no word yet on where WWE NXT will be moved to for that episode though the Performance Center is a likely candidate.
WrestleTix reported that at the time of cancelation, 1700 tickets had been distributed for the event which wsa part of WWE’s Memorial Day takeover in Tampa. As of this week, Saturday Night’s Main Event and WWE Raw are both nearing sellouts while Battleground has surpassed 6000 tickets sold.
