Cody Rhodes

WWE Champion Misses Appearance, Other WWE Stars Overbooked For Fanaticsfest Sessions

— WWE Undisputed Champion Cody Rhodes was scheduled to appear and participate and ask a question in today’s press conference promoting November’s Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul fight which will air on Netflix. However, not only did Cody not ask his question, but he wasn’t even there. It’s not known why Rhodes missed the event and some were surprised given WWE’s relationship with Netflix that begins in 2025 with Raw.

— PWInsiderelite.com reports that at the Fanaticsfest event this weekend, there were a lot of photos and autograph sessions for WWE wrestlers that the organizers oversold. This caused fans who were waiting in line to be given refunds instead as the scheduled sessions went over on time and talents ended up being pulled to fulfil other obligations elsewhere. The miscommunication is not believed to be WWE’s fault but rather Fanaticsfest who held the session. Some wrestlers had to leave to do other things but then returned afterwards to continue sign and pose for photos.

— Multiple WWE executives were in attendance at the weekend event including including Paul Levesque, Nick Khan and Chris Legentill.
