SmackDown Tag-Team Championships
Lucha House Party vs. Cesaro & Shinsuke Nakamura (c)

We are sent down to ringside where the announce duo of Corey Graves and Michael Cole prepare us for our first action of the evening inside the squared circle, as the WWE Clash Kickoff Show match is about to get underway.

With that said we here the theme of The Lucha House Party, who make their way down to the ring. Lince Dorado and Kalisto will be representing the duo with Gran Metalik standing by at ringside.

Out next are the reigning and defending SmackDown Tag-Team Champions. Shinsuke Nakamura and Cesaro make their way out and with all of the participants in the ring, it’s time for our first of many title matches here at the WWE Clash “Gold Rush.”

The bell sounds and starting things off for their respective teams are Cesaro and Lince Dorado. The Lucha House Party use their quickness to establish an early offensive advantage and now Dorado tags Kalisto in. The duo keep using quick-tags to remain in control.

Nakamura tags in for the first time and now the momentum is swinging in the favor of the defending champs. Nakamura tags Cesaro back in, who puts the boots to the challenger on the mat in the champions’ corner. The champs are in a comfortable offensive lead now, with Dorado trapped in the ring and kept there with fresh opposition beating on him for several minutes.

Dorado tries making the tag and gets as close as he has yet, but is still cut off by the champs before slapping hands with Metalik. Nakamura is now the legal man who hits a double-team move with Cesaro after tagging in, following-up with a close near fall. He grinds the arm in Dorado’s grill and picks him back up, leaning back to tag Cesaro back in.

Cesaro whips Dorado into the corner and follows in with a big European uppercut. Dorado is finally starting to show signs of life and he leaps past Cesaro and with his out-stretched arms he makes the tag to arguably the leader of The Lucha House Party.

Kalisto takes the hot tag and comes in like a ball of fire, hitting everything that moves using his fast-paced, high-impact and high-risk offensive style to take out Cesaro and Nakamura in successon. Kalisto launches himself to the floor for a big dive. Back in the ring moments later he goes for another dive but is caught by the powerful Cesaro. Seconds later, Dorado dives out on them and they hit a double tornado DDT.

Back in the ring, Kalisto and Dorado take turns hitting high-spots off the top rope. Kalisto with a nice moonsault for a close near fall on Cesaro. He goes to tag in Dorado, however Cesaro keeps Kalisto in the ring while Nakamura drags Dorado off the apron and suplexing him on the barricade.

Back in the ring, Kalisto goes for Solina del Sol, however he doesn’t get it. Cesaro gets the Cesaro Swing on Kalisto and Nakamura comes in while he’s being swung with a flying knee. He covers him and gets the pin fall victory. With the win, Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura retain the SmackDown Tag-Team Titles in a solid opening bout here on the WWE Clash Kickoff Show.

Winners and STILL SmackDown Tag-Team Champions: Cesaro & Shinsuke Nakamura

WWE Intercontinental Championship
Three-Way Ladder Match
AJ Styles vs. Sami Zayn vs. Jeff Hardy

After the opening portion of the PPV is in the rear-view mirror, we head to ringside where it’s time for our first match inside the squared circle here at the WWE Clash “Gold Rush” PPV.

AJ Styles makes his way down to the ring, as our three-way ladder match to decide the true undisputed I-C champ will be kicking off things in the ring for the PPV main show.

Out next is Sami Zayn, as the announce team of Michael Cole and Corey Graves talk about Zayn thinking he is still the reigning I-C champ and being out of his mind.

Jeff Hardy is now finally headed to the ring as highlights are shown of crazy spots in a simulation of this match from the new video game. The bell sounds and these three immediately get after it.

After some bodies hit the floor it is “The Charismatic Enigma” who ends up reaching under the ring first to pull out the initial ladder being used in this contest. Before he can fully put it in the ring, after setting it on the ring apron while standing on the floor, it is dropkicked into his face.

Zayn follows up on the floor and slams a ladder across the back of Hardy while Styles is still down on the floor outside the squared circle as well. Zayn with another ladder shot for good measure. He sets the ladder down and pushes it into the ring.

We see a series of crazy ladder spots now as an exploder suplex onto a ladder elicits an enormous reaction from the jam-packed WWE ThunderDome virtual fan audience that is watching the action live.

Hardy and Styles are now each on opposing sides of a ladder set up under the belts in the middle of the ring after another high spot which saw a crazy spot from the ring to the floor onto ladders. Zayn pushes the ladder over and Styles and Hardy each go flying.

Zayn realizes he’s alone in the ring and he gets back to his feet and starts making his climb up the ladder. Hardy recovers and re-enters the ring, and as he goes to knock Zayn off the ladder, Styles flies from the other side and knocks the ladder into Hardy.

This sends Hardy out of the ring. He recovers however and moments later re-enters the ring to hit a big Twist of Fate that now sees all three men down in the ring. The fan noise picks up again now as Hardy makes his climb up the ladder. While on the top of the ladder, Zayn curls it from the bottom up, sending Hardy flying over the corner ring post. Yikes!

Hardy gets all of a couple of minutes to recover from that before an even crazier spot happens, as Hardy climbs up an enormous mega-ladder set up on the floor. He gets to the very tip-top and while Zayn is laid out on a table on the floor, Hardy makes his crazy dive, splashing onto Zayn and blasting the table into 100,000 little wooden splinters. Zayn and Hardy are both down.

Moments later, Styles is knocked off the top of a ladder, leaving his back a mess. After this, Sami Zayn is shown in a close-up on-camera where he pulls out a pair of handcuffs. He uses the handcuffs to cuff Hardy’s giant pierced hole in his ear to the ladder. You read that right.

We see Hardy struggle to lift his head off the ladder with his ear stretching badly on each attempt. Now Zayn enters the ring and gets ready to handcuff Styles’ hand to the ring ropes. He sets a ladder up in the middle of the ring and as he goes to handcuff Styles, we see Styles blast him with a big punch. He fires off some more shots and avoids being cuffed. We see after Zayn is laid out and Styles could only move so far that Zayn secretly handcuffed himself to Styles.

As the announcers explain, this means Styles can’t climb to the top of the ladder without bringing Zayn with him. As Styles punches Zayn some more he tries to figure out a way to climb up with him. Now we see Hardy with the ladder stuck on his ear getting into the ring still stuck to the ladder. Finally, Zayn pulls a handcuff key out of his mouth and frees himself. He cuffs Styles to the ladder. He climbs up the other side and retrieves both I-C titles. Sami Zayn wins and is now the rightful undisputed Intercontinental Champion.

Winner and NEW WWE Intercontinental Champion: Sami Zayn

Drew Gulak Attacks R-Truth, Wins WWE 24/7 Title

After highlights are shown of the funny R-Truth segment from the Kickoff Show we return live backstage where Truth, still in the same costume he wore during the pre-show, which is an old man with long gray hair and a beard who is a gold miner.

He enters the referee lounge where he is looking around. The refs ask what he’s doing. He says something about Lil Jimmy. As he backs out of the ref lounge we see someone tackle Truth and cover him. One of the refs standing by makes the count.

Drew Gulak is the man who just attacked Truth. He grabs the WWE 24/7 Championship title belt and raises it in victory, celebrating as he runs off the new WWE 24/7 Champion.

RAW Women’s Championship
Zelina Vega vs. Asuka

Zelina Vega’s music hits as we re-enter the arena jam-packed with the WWE ThunderDome virtual fan audience. She makes her way down to the ring for our second match here on the WWE Clash PPV main card.

As she wraps up her ring entrance, the announcers talk us through some highlights that tell the story of the set-up to this match on Raw recently.

After the video package wraps up, we see Zelina Vega standing by waiting for the champ, looking ready for action. With that said, the champ’s theme hits and out comes Asuka.

The Raw Women’s Champion enters the ring and as she poses on the top turnbuckle, pyro and fireworks explode around the arena. The match official for this Raw Women’s Championship showdown holds the title belt up to show these two what they are fighting for this evening.

The bell sounds and Asuka and Vega circle each other and lock-up. Asuka shoves Vega down face-first into the canvas. Asuka teases a test of strength, raising her open hand up and waiting for Vega to clasp hands with her. She backs away before she can. And again, as the announcers tell the story that Asuka is toying with Vega, not respecting her as a legitimate challenger.

Asuka wraps Vega’s arm up in a nice submission hold of some kind but then Vega blasts the Raw Women’s Champion with a nice kick to free herself. Back on their feet, the two lock up again and again it is Asuka who gets the better of the exchange, taking Vega down to the mat.

The action spills out to the floor and a rare miscalculation by Asuka leads to the first offensive advantage for the challenger, as Vega yanks Asuka by her arm on the floor into the steel ring steps. She takes advantage of the opportunity and gets the action back in the ring, where she continues to go to work on the champ.

Vega continues to focus her attack on the arm of Asuka that was hurt when she was yanked into the ring steps on the floor moments ago. Vega is yanking on the arm in the ring and now has Asuka on the mat where she stretches the ligaments of the injured arm. Back on a vertical base, Vega wrenches the arm of Asuka some more, Asuka tries to counter into the Asuka Lock but her bum-arm didn’t do her any favors, as Vega counters that into a straight armbar.

Asuka escapes the armbar attempt from the challenger and goes again for the Asuka Lock but again her hurt arm prevents her from fully locking it in. Vega locks Asuka’s arms with her legs in the ring ropes from the ring apron outside the ropes in a modified crucifix. Vega whips Asuka into the corner afterwards and hits a nice follow-up for a near fall which the announcers put over as being extremely close.

Moments later, however, Asuka is able to secure the Asuka Lock and Vega taps out. Asuka retains the Raw Women’s Championship with the win. Vega put in a better effort than most expected.

Winner and STILL Raw Women’s Champion: Asuka

After The Match: Zelina Vega Attacks!

After the match, Asuka is interviewed live in the ring and is asked about retaining her title just now. Shes puts over Vega as a credible challenger, calling her a firecracker that might be small in stature but is explosive and dangerous.

Vega doesn’t care about the compliments, however, as she attacks Asuka from behind. She follows up with more attack and then exits the ring as Asuka flips out, grabbing the mic and yelling a bunch of stuff in Japanese before slamming the mic down and her music plays to wrap up the segment.

WWE United States Championship
Apollo Crews vs. Bobby Lashley (c)

We’re back after some in-house commercial ads airs and the video package wraps up for our next championship contest of the evening here at WWE Clash “Gold Rush.”

With that said, out comes former U.S. Champion Apollo Crews. Crews makes his way down to the ring accompanied by Ricochet as an “Earlier Today” pre-match split-screen promo from Apollo airs.

After that we are treated to the ring entrance of the reigning U.S Champion, Bobby Lashley, who makes his way out accompanied by his fellow brothers in The Hurt Business. They stop to hug him and head to the back, leaving only MVP to walk to the ring with Lashley.

A quick WWE 2K BattleGrounds ad airs and is talked up by the commentators as Lashley shows off the U.S. title before handing it to the ref, who does the same. The bell sounds and here we go with our third match on the main card and fourth overall here at WWE Clash Of Champions “Gold Rush”.

The bell sounds and Lashley immediately gets Apollo down and covers him, but only gets two. He tells Apollo it was almost that quick. They re-engage and now Apollo fires away with punches, taking it to Lashley.

It looks like Apollo is about to enjoy his first offensive run in the bout, however it is cut short as Lashley takes Apollo down and chokes him on the middle rope while MVP talks trash and taunts him. Lashley fires away with punches at Apollo and then chokes him over the top rope while MVP again taunts him and talks smack right in his face from the floor.

The action ends up spilling out to the same floor, where the momentum shifts after Lashley is blasted into the steel ring post. Back in the ring, Apollo follows up with a big avalanche splash in the corner. He knocks Lashley out to the floor and follows up with a flying axe-handle smash from the ring apron.

Back in the ring, Apollo remains in the offensive driver’s seat, taking it to Lashley some more until finally the tables turn and Lashley reverses things with a huge super-plex off the top rope. We see some replays of that spot. Lashley gets Apollo up with a gut-wrench but Apollo escapes and hits a standing shooting star press. He heads to the top-rope now and flies off with a frog splash for a close near fall. Moments later he gets Apollo in the Hurt Lock and gets the tap out victory. With the win, Lashley retains the U.S. title.

Winner and STILL WWE United States Champion: Bobby Lashley

Raw Tag-Team Championships
Andrade & Angel Garza vs. The Street Profits (c)

The team of Angel Garza and Andrade make their way down to the ring as we get ready for our next bout of the evening. The announcers talk about Andrade and Angel Garza not having Zelina Vega in their corner tonight, questioning if that will affect this match and their chances of winning the titles.

We see highlights from the most recent installment of the Raw Talk post-show for Monday Night Raw that shows The Street Profits vowing victory and making it clear that tonight — they — want — the — smoke. The announcers talk us through a Tapout ad for tonight’s WWE Clash presenting sponsor.

Now we are treated to the ring entrance of the reigning and defending Raw Tag-Team Champions coming into tonight’s bout, The Street Profits — Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins.

The bell sounds and it will be Andrade and Dawkins kicking things off for their respective teams. Andrade gets in some nice forearms off the initial lock-up and tags in Garza. Garza goes to work on the arm of Dawkins before tagging Andrade right back in.

Andrade slaps a side-head-lock on Dawkins. The Street Profits member hits the ropes to escape and ends up blasting Andrade with a nice dropkick. He tags in Montez Ford, who takes both Andrade and Garza out with dropkicks. Andrade ends up making the tag to Garza.

They hit a double-team spot on Ford and re-establish their offensive control in the bout as the announcers talk us through replays of the aforementioned sequence before praising the challengers for showing more of a cohesive unit as a team this evening.

Garza has Ford on the mat and is working over the arm of one-half of the Raw Tag-Team Champions. Ford ends up hitting a nice back-suplex to escape after powering back to his feet.

Moments later we work towards what was an awkwardly executed finish. Dawkins hits a sidewalk slam and as he makes the follow-up cover, it looked like Andrade kicked out at two. The announcers even casually called it that way, however instead the bell rang and The Street Profits began their post-match celebration.

Highlights are shown in the post-match replays that seem to back up the announcers case that Andrade kicked out before the ref’s count of three.

Winners and STILL Raw Tag-Team Champions: The Street Profits

R-Truth Recaptures WWE 24/7 Title From Drew Gulak

Backstage we shoot to a live interview with the new WWE 24/7 Champion, Drew Gulak.

Gulak talks about not being scheduled for action but always being prepared. He says as he was doing his lunges his saw R-Truth going by and capitalized on the opportunity.

Just as he finishes dedicating his WWE 24/7 Championship victory this evening, the former title-holder — still in the same costume from the Kickoff Show — attacks from behind.

R-Truth rolls him up and gets the three-count, re-gaining his WWE 24/7 Championship and running off.

SmackDown Women’s Championship
Bayley (c) vs. Asuka

Bayley makes her way to the ring as Michael Cole explains the breaking news from earlier today about Nikki Cross not being medically cleared to compete, leading to her being pulled from her scheduled title mathc against Bayley.

The SmackDown Women’s Champion enters the ring and unfolds a chair. She begins a promo about having new gear for the match tonight, etc. She says Cross would’ve lost either way, she just wishes it wasn’t a forfeit.

Bayley promises not to let the fans down and she vows to give anyone in the back a shot at her SmackDown Women’s Championship. She asks for any-takers and with no one responding within the first 3 seconds, Bayley says time is up and tells the ref to begin his ruling of her victory by forfeit.

Before that happens, however, the theme music of Raw Women’s Champion Asuka hits the house speakers and out she comes to the ring in a hurry.

The bell sounds and here we go as Asuka is immediately going to work on Bayley, knocking her out to the floor and jumping off to an early offensive lead. Bayley tries walking off to purposely get counted out, however Asuka stops her.

Well, Bayley found a way out.

Just as Asuka was turning the tables on her after Bayley’s only short-lived offensive run in the match came to an end, she grabs a steel chair and blatantly hits Asuka with it to get herself disqualified.

Winner via DQ: Asuka

After The Match: Sasha Banks Gets Small Measure Of Revenge

Asuka is going to win the match via disqualification, however as we all know, a title does not change hands on a DQ ruling, so Bayley is still the reigning SmackDown Women’s Champion.

As the post-match scene breaks out, Sasha Banks runs down to hit the ring and the former Women’s Tag-Team Champions go at it. Banks end up beating down Bayley with a kendo stick.

She goes to do the same thing to Bayley that Bayley did to her, as she prepares to put Bayley’s head through an unfolded steel chair. Bayley manages to escape and flee to the back, however.

Highlights are shown of what just transpired between Bayley and “The Boss.”

WWE Championship
Ambulance Match
Randy Orton vs. Drew McIntyre (c)

After some between-match commercials air, we shoot back live inside the WWE Clash venue where the announcers set up the video package for our next match of the evening.

On that note, the video package airs telling the story leading up to our next match here on the WWE Clash “Gold Rush” PPV main card, which will feature the WWE Championship on-the-line.

The video package airs for the WWE Championship Ambulance Match, as “The Scottish Psychopath” Drew McIntyre defends his title NEXT here at WWE Clash against “The Viper” Randy Orton.

The package wraps up, the bell sounds and the pre-match formal ring introductions get underway for the Ambulance Match. The ring announcer explains the rules of an Ambulance Match and then the theme music of Randy Orton plays.

“The Viper” begins making his way down to the ring for one of our featured main events of the evening. Orton turns and walks to the ambulance set up next to the stage. He touches the ambulance before he walks towards the ring, stopping to look back at the ambulance once more before stretching his neck and continuing to ringside. Orton looks out into the crowd of monitors with a devious look on his face. Orton enters the ring and begins pacing as he looks up the ramp, awaiting his opponent.

WWE Champion Drew McIntyre’s entrance theme sounds as the Scottishman makes his way to the stage with his title around his waist. McIntyre’s eyes are completely serious as he makes his way down the ramp towards the ring. Orton exits the ring crawling out without breaking his stare into McIntyre’s face. McIntyre enters the ring.

The bell sounds and McIntyre jumps off to a quick offensive advantage, firing away passionately at Orton with punches. Orton shifts the momentum in his favor seconds later by kicking the ropes up to McIntyre in low-blow fashion, he then follows up the low-blow cheap shot with his trademark DDT off the middle-rope.

Orton backs up and waits for McIntyre to stand up for a big Punt. As he does, however, he feels something grabbing his ankle. We see it is none other than The Big Show. He pulls Orton out of the ring out to the floor with him and chokeslams him through the announce table. As the announcers explain, with this being an Ambulance Match, there are no disqualifications so that was perfectly legal.

McIntyre back to his feet, exits the ring and smiles as he looks at the injured Orton. McIntyre lifts Orton and drops him over the top of the barricade. McIntyre assists Orton back to his feet, hitting another massive chop to the chest of Orton. Another strike sends Orton into the steel stairs.

McIntyre then stomps the hand of “The Viper.” Orton and McIntyre inch closer and closer to the ambulance as “The Scottish Psychopath” continues his assault of the challenger up the entrance aisle-way. McIntyre slams Orton into the barricade. He picks up him again and slams him into the back window of the Ambulance parked at the top of the entrance.

Orton turns the table moments later, cutting the champ’s offensive run short and going to work on him with a steel chair. Now “The Viper” opens the Ambulance door as he is looking to wrap this one up. Drew starts fighting back, however, and now the two trade shots back-and-forth in front of the Ambulance with the back-door still hanging wide open.

“The Viper” works his way to the front of the Ambulance and opens the driver’s side door. Moments later McIntyre charges at him with a Claymore Kick that Orton dodges just in time, leading to McIntyre knocking the door off of the Ambulance completely from the force of his famous finisher. Orton crawls away now and as McIntyre continues his assault on the challenger, they go through the curtain and are now in the backstage area, where Drew picks Orton up and slaps his right leg, which the announcers speculate is done to get feeling back in his leg after kicking the door off of the ambulance.

As Orton starts to fight back, the two near the catering area where out of nowhere, Orton is attacked from behind by someone we end up discovering is none other than Christian. He beats Orton down, as “The Viper” crashes through a table with food laid out all over it. He walks off. The fight continues, however, as Drew picks up where he left off.

The two fight out to the entrance aisle-way inside the arena again. Drew slams Orton on the hood of the ambulance. Orton gouges at McIntyre’s eye as Drew goes up on the hood after him. After the thumb to the eye, Orton slams McIntyre down, breaking the windshield of the ambulance in the process.

The match ends up on top of the ambulance all the way now as they climb up from the hood. Drew McIntyre’s back is bleeding in multiple areas. Orton delivers a Knee, then measured shots to McIntyre. McIntyre now hanging from the side of the ambulance as Orton Stomps the hand of McIntyre. Orton pushes his foot harder into McIntyre’s hand as McIntyre finally lets go. Shawn Michaels hits SWEET CHIN MUSIC and adds two words for him after shoving him off the ambulance. The crowd pops.

McIntyre carries Orton in a Fireman’s Carry towards the ambulance. Orton delivers an RKO to McIntyre. Orton lifts Mcintyre into the ambulance, as Orton goes to shut the door, McIntyre’s hand extends out and shoves Orton away. McIntyre jumps back out of the ambulance. The finish sees a Claymore Kick from “The Scottish Psychopath” and then the WWE Champion places Randy Orton inside the back of the ambulance. He decides against ending it there, however.Instead, McIntyre pulled Orton down and got a sick look in his eyes. The WWE Champion waited for Orton to get up and then ran at him and blasted him with a Punt kick of his own for good measure. He packs him in the back of the ambulance and shuts the doors. His music plays. Drew McIntyre wins and is still your WWE Champion.

Winner and STILL WWE Champion: Drew McIntyre

After The Match: Ric Flair Drives Off With “The Viper”

After the match ends we see replays as the announcers talk us through some of the action from a very eventful Ambulance Match here at WWE Clash.

From there, we see none other than “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair is in the driver’s seat of the ambulance. He lets out a trademark WOOOO! and drives off with Orton in the back of the ambulance as the announcers explain that The Viper’s summer has come back to haunt him, as Big Show, Christian, Shawn Michaels and Ric Flair all came back to get revenge tonight, leading to Drew McIntyre — broken jaw and all — pulling off the victory.

WWE Universal Championship
Jey Uso vs. Roman Reigns (c)

It’s main event time, folks!

The video package for the WWE Clash Of Champions “Gold Rush” 2020 pay-per-view airs telling the story that led up to tonight’s cousin versus cousin showdown between WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns and his challenger, Jey Uso.

Out first for this match is Jey Uso as his music sounds in the arena! Uso comes out hyped up and makes his way down the ramp towards the ring. Jey enters the ring and awaits his opponent.

Next out is the reigning WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns accompanied by his special counsel Paul Heyman, who follows closely behind. Jey stands inside the ring, looking nervous but determined. Reigns has a blank stare on his face as he stops at he bottom of the ramp before continuing towards the steel stairs to enter the ring.

The bell sounds and here we go. The two circle each other and we hear Jey Uso yell out that it didn’t have to be this way, but now it is and they have to meet in the center of this ring. Uso and Reigns lock up and the action is now officially underway here in our main event of the evening.

Early on it is “The Big Dog” that is taking it to Uso after the challenger got in some early shots all-the-while continuing to yell out in frustration that he has to do this to his cousin. The announcers do a good job on commentary setting the stakes for the viewers at home.

As the WWE Universal Champion takes over the offensive momentum in the match, he starts shouting out at Uso as he beats on him the same way Uso was doing earlier. Paul Heyman gives some “special counsel” to Reigns in the form of live advice — he tells Reigns to not waste energy yelling at Uso and to focus on the task at hand. Reigns yells back at Heyman but obliges.

Reigns continues to dominate the action now as the match spills out to the floor. Reigns slams Uso into the ring barricade and then onto the commentary table. Afterwards he says he loves his cousin, but continues to deliver nothing but tough love in the form of a continued ass-kickin’.

Back in the ring, Reigns is still in control of the action until Uso uses some impressive power to scoop up the Universal Champion and blast him with a momentum-ceasing Samoan Drop.

Both guys are slow to get up now, but it is Jey who is up first. He backs into a corner and waits on Reigns to get up. He builds up energy as Reigns gets back to a vertical base and then sprints towards him, only to eat a perfectly-timed Superman Punch from “The Big Dog” for his efforts.

The action is back outside the ring again and Jey shows a hope spot, catching Reigns with a big punch as he caught up with him on the floor. Reigns blasts him back with a harder shot of his own before bringing the match back into the ring. Once in the ring, Reigns slows down again and stalks Uso, delivering punishment and yelling at him again, telling him this is the serious ass-kickin’ he warned him about.

“I’ve been doin’ this! I’ve been doin’ this!” he says as he delivers additional punishment to his cousin. “I tried to tell you!” Jey blasts Reigns with a big punch out of nowhere but all it does is piss off the champ, who goes to work with even more ferocity now.

Reigns gets a bit too comfortable and loses focus as he focuses more on his verbal lecture while working Jey over, just like his special counsel Paul Heyman pleaded with him not to do earlier in the bout. Now we see why, as Jey catches Reigns with another big punch. This time, however, Jey puts together a nice little offensive run as the WWE ThunderDome virtual fan audience gets noticably louder.

Uso is fired up now and lands a big kick for a near fall. The announcers point out that Paul Heyman had a facial reaction that made it seem like he just saw a ghost during the aforementioned sequence. Uso goes for a big spot when Reigns gets back to his feet, however Reigns had it well-scouted and countered the challenger, following up with a pin-attempt but only getting two after the running vertical leg-drop that turned the offense back into his favor.

Reigns is slow to get back up, but only because he’s thinking about what he’s about to have to do now as he calls for the end of this one, backing into the corner and measuring his cousin, waiting for Jey to get up to finish him off.

Instead of what he had planned, however, Jey avoided the spear attempt from Reigns and countered with a big kick. He follows up with some high spots and goes for the cover but only gets two. After failing to finish off Reigns with the pin after the top-rope splash, we see Jey writhing around in pain to the confusion of the announcers. Replays end up showing us that when he kicked out from the top-rope splash follow-up pin attempt, he threw his arm up to get his shoulder up, which went directly into the family jewels of his family member.

“The Big Dog” is shown with a tight close-up on camera now still on the mat, but with a big smile on his face as it appears that low blow was done on purpose. Reigns taunts Uso again, demanding him to do it now or this is done. He’s demanding he say it but Jey refuses, so Reigns blasts him with a second straight Spear. He again refuses to just pin him and end this, he demands again for Jey to say to the whole world that Reigns is the head of the table, the tribal hief and the head of the family.

He grabs Jey by the hair and points to the camera and says tell the world. Jey defiantly respnods, “not today.” Reigns lets go of Jey and has a look of disgust on his face. Paul Heyman screams — word-for-word — exactly what Reigns just demanded Jey to do into the camera. Reigns tells Heyman from the ring that he didn’t ask Heyman to say that, he demanded that Jey says it. The referee watches as Reigns goes crazy with a violent spree of punches leading to the referee trying to calm the situation and restore order, but Reigns backs him up and threatens him, telling him to stay out of this because it’s family business.

Reigns goes back over and does the same thing again, violently pummeling his cousin again and then shouting over to the ref that this is nothing, he’s been beating his cousin’s ass like this his whole life. He grinds his face into the mat back-and-forth and then blasts him with even more vicious punches. Reigns stands over Jey and looks down as Jimmy Uso sprints down to ringside. He grabs a towel and tells Jey he’s gonna throw it in. Reigns tells Jimmy to make Jey say it. Jimmy says he’s gonna throw in the towel but Jey pleads with him as he struggles to even speak. “Don’t do it! Don’t do it! Don’t throw that sh*t!”

Reigns gets down and goes to work pummeling Jey again and after watching for a few seconds Jimmy has finally seen enough and he throws in the towel. The ref calls for the bell and that ends it. Reigns retains the Universal Title.

Winner and STILL WWE Universal Champion: Roman Reigns

After The Match: The Tribal Chief Roman Reigns Closes WWE Clash “Gold Rush”

Reigns lands a couple of extra shots for good measure and stands back over him. Jimmy tends to Jey and scolds his cousin for doing what he just did to Jey. He then looks up at Reigns and says what he demanded Jey to say.

He says that’s what you wanted. He says you got what you wanted and begs him to leave Jey alone now. We watch as Paul Heyman puts a ceremonial lay around the neck of the tribal chief and the leader of the family — Roman Reigns. Reigns’ music plays as he hoists the Universal Title over his hand in victory, celebrating while staring down at Jimmy who continues to look back at him like a pissed off Rocky Balboa holding a dieing Apollo Creed in Rocky IV.
