WWE Commentator Corey Graves Posts On Social Media Expressing Unhappiness Over Role

— WWE color commentator Corey Graves doesn’t appear to be pleased at all about his position within WWE and he went public with it late Monday evening on social media. Graves wrote:

“Imagine chasing your dream. Then being TOLD (not deciding) that you’re no longer physically able to pursue your dream. Then you dedicate your life to something “dream adjacent” and being pretty fucking awesome at it. And then, when it’s time to enjoy the fruits of your labor, being told you’re not famous enough for your own job. Just in case you’ve wondered where I’ve been.”

— His comments would almost surely be in reference to recently being moved over to the NXT brand after WWE mixed around their commentating booth, pairing Michael Cole with Pat McAfee on WWE Raw and Joe Tessitore and Wade Barrett over on WWE Smackdown. That left Graves as the odd man out and he was moved to NXT, which essentially puts him #3 on the totem pole amongst company color commentators.

— PWInsider.com reported that there had been “rumblings” over the last few weeks that Graves was unhappy with how things were unfolding and his positioning and it would seem his post on X would strongly imply that WWE told him he was moving off of Raw and Smackdown because he doesn’t have the name value of a McAfee or Tessitore.

— Graves remains scheduled for tonight’s WWE NXT show on CW but it remains to be seen if his social media activity leads to a bigger problem between him and WWE as is clearly not happy at being placed on NXT given his comment about “where he’s been.”
