Is WWE hinting at the return of “The Best in the World”?
Rumors about CM Punk potentially returning to WWE, particularly in time for Survivor Series in his hometown of Chicago, Illinois, are gaining traction.
Social media has been buzzing with speculation that WWE may be dropping subtle hints about CM Punk’s return. One such instance occurred when Corey Graves made the comment, “The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was making the world forget that he existed,” which Punk often referenced in his own promos, including a memorable one during his time in ROH Wrestling.
Additionally, Cody Rhodes’s statement last month that ‘Main Event’ Jey Uso is “one of the very best in the world and deserves a second chance” was seen by some as another subtle reference to Punk.
Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins also claimed in a promotional video that he is “the best in the world.”
Even Michael Cole seemed to echo a line from one of CM Punk’s promos on Monday’s WWE Raw commentary.
While some believe these references hint at CM Punk’s return, others see them as mere coincidences, and there is no confirmation about Punk’s future plans.
