As previously reported, WWE has chosen not to renew Ridge Holland’s contract, which is set to expire on November 14th.
Currently, Holland is dealing with an injury, and while WWE was covering his surgery and physical therapy expenses, their decision not to extend his contract has drawn some criticism online.
According to Fightful Select, some sources within WWE have revealed that Holland’s contract was terminated early.
The company considered his recent social media posts as a breach of contract, which led to the decision to end his deal before its expiration date. It was noted in the report that Holland is unlikely to be paid for the remaining days of his contract.
However, WWE is required to continue providing rehabilitation services for Holland, as failing to do so could expose them to legal action.
Recently, Holland expressed his feelings on Twitter (X), stating that he felt “hung out to dry” by WWE, but he has not yet commented on the latest developments regarding his contract. Here is what he posted earlier in the week:
“I never thought I’d not be able to pay my mortgage.
I feel like I’ve just been hung out to dry after getting injured working for another company on behalf of WWE.
Add to that my contract not being renewed knowing that I wouldn’t be able to wrestle for 7 months. This is brutal.
Yes they are taking care of the surgery and physical therapy but let’s be honest, that’s the bare minimum after what we sacrifice for the company.
Plus the possibility of having to get my neck fused too.
Talk about getting totally fucked.”
