WWE is about to step up their game when it comes to enforcing the separation of the two main roster brands, Raw and Smackdown, ahead of the company moving the blue brand from the USA Network to FOX.
Despite the current roster/brand split being muddled with the introduction of the “wild card rule”, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that the plan right now is for WWE to go back to separate rosters in October before Smackdown moves to FOX with perhaps only minor cross-overs taking place immediately before that date.
Another plan WWE wants to stick to is for Raw and Smackdown to be run by Paul Heyman and Eric Bischoff, respectively, as completely separate brands with separate storylines rather than the current situation where stories overlap on both brands.
Finally, it is believed that most of the rosters will stay the way they are after this past spring’s Superstar Shake Up with only a few minor moves.
