But first…

In-Ring – 2021 Royal Rumble Winner – EDGE

The Rated-R Superstar makes his entrance to the stage as his entrance theme sounds in the ThunderDome II as he is officially announced as the 2021 Royal Rumble Winner. Edge makes his way down the ramp and enters the ring with his microphone in hand. Edge begins by stating he had a lot of choices to make. Edge continues on to discuss the current WWE Champion Drew McIntyre defending his title inside the Elimination Chamber, and WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns defending his title at Elimination Chamber as well. Edge then continues on to state that there are 13 potential opponent and he has to pick someone for WrestleMania 37. This is the biggest decision of his career.

WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns Interrupts

As Edge is prepared to make his decision in regards to who he will compete against this Sunday at the Elimination Chamber 2021, when suddenly the Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns, makes his way to the stage along with his Special Counsel, Paul Heyman and his cousin, Jey Uso. Commentary discusses Reigns match at this weekend’s Elimination Chamber where he will defend his Universal Title. Cole hypes the Reigns’ title defense later in the night. . Reigns makes his way down the ramp and into the ring with the Rated-R Superstar! We return to the ring where the crowd begins a “You Suck!” chant directed at Reigns as his entrance theme cuts.

Reigns and Edge stare each other down once again as he stands in front of Edge. Reigns says Edge does not have 13 to choose from because there’s really only one. Reigns continues on to state that that ONE is about to be a six-time WrestleMania main eventer. Edge talks about how he saw Reigns lose his cool last week, which is rare. Edge then informs Reigns that Reigns needs him to be in the WrestleMania 37 main event. If Edge faces AJ Styles or anyone else, then that’s your main event. Edge sees Reigns’ insecurity.

Edge continues on to inform Reigns that he is cracking under pressure, and Edge hasn’t even focused on him yet. Edge asks if Reigns really wants him to test his armor and focus on him. Edge continues, “Think about that long and hard, is that what you want?”

Sami Zayn Interrupts Next

Suddenly, the entrance theme for Sami Zayn sounds as he makes his way to the stage with his documentary film crew to interrupt Edge and Reigns discussion. Sami starts ranting about WWE disrespecting him every week but to be disrespected by two of the biggest stars, that’s something else. Edge is acting like Sami can’t make it to WrestleMania, and Reigns is so worried about Edge he’s not seeing the other threats in front of him. Sami is in the ring now, ranting to both Edge and Reigns. Sami wants his moment right now.

Sami calls for his camera men to get this iconic shot of him pointing at the WrestleMania 37 sign. He says make no mistake about it, he is going to WrestleMa… Out of nowhere, Uso drops Zayn with a Superkick, sending Zayn to the canvas inside the ring. Reigns hands Heyman his title and he steps to Edge as fans once again begin to boo him. Reigns whispers something in Edge’s ear. Reigns then backs off and nods, showing Edge he’s stepping to him and away from him in peace. On that note, Reigns, Heyman and Uso exit the ring now as Reigns’ music hits.

Announcer’s Table

– The commentary team once again note tonight’s six-man main event. Also, Bayley will welcome the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions to her “Ding Dong, Hello!” show. With that, we head to the first commercial break of the evening!

Apollo Crews vs. Shinsuke Nakamura

As we head back to the ring, out comes WWE Intercontinental Champion Big E as his entrance theme sounds over the speakers in the arena! E then heads to the the announce table for commentary and we go back to commercial.

Backstage Interview – Apollo Crews

We return from commercial break, we head backstage, where we see Apollo Crews being interviewed.

Crews begins by stating that he’s always respected Big E and got great advice from him, like how you have to make opportunities for yourself. He then told Crews last week that should go back to catering and earn a paycheck. The truth is, E never respected him and never got to know the real him. His ancestors are Nigerian royalty and if Big had spoken to them like he speaks to Apollo, he’d have lost his tongue, and now Crews is coming for what he deserves.

As we return to the ringside area, we see Big E sitting on a couch eating a TV dinner by the announcer’s table. Out next comes Nakamura as his entrance theme sounds in the arena. Nakamura makes his way down the ramp and enters the ring.

With both competitors inside the ring, the referee stands between them as he signals for the bell. The bell rings and the first match-up of the evening is officially underway! To start things off, Nakamura heads in on Crews to unload with strikes connecting on Crews! Crews attempts to fight back but Nakamura drops him with a knee to the gut. Nakamura drops a knee on the mat for the cover that leads to a 2 count pin attempt. Both men back to their feet, they lock up until Crews nails Nakamura with a Dropkick. Nakamura ends up at ringside. Crews makes his way out of the ring to join Nakamura.

Crews then dropkicks Nakamura to the floor at Big E’s feet in front of the couch! Crews continues on by sending Nakamura into Big E’s TV dinner tray luckily, it remains standing (don’t wanna ruin E’s dinner!). Crews follows to the floor and stares at Big E while working Nakamura over. Crews tosses Nakamura into Big E on his couch, disrupting his foot bath. Big E gets up and warns Crews to keep testing him, as we once again go to commercial break.

As we once again return from the commercial break, inside the ring Crews drops Nakamura with a Suplex that leads into a cover for the two count, Nakamura getting his shoulder up in time. The camera pans to Big E who is still sitting on his couch, now with his feet in the bath. We return to the ring where Nakamura lands a Running Kick on Crews. Crews stumbles to the canvas, then returns to his feet with the assistance of the corner turnbuckles. Nakamura runs full force at Crews, almost running into a boot from Crews in the corner! Instead, he lands a sliding German Suplex for a pin-fall attempt.

Crews kicks out at the 2 count. Nakamura with more kicks while Crews is down. Nakamura charges but Crews catches him with a Spinebuster for a 2 count. Back to his feet, Crews stuns Nakamura with an Enziguri. Crews looks to get his come-up by lands a Military Press, Nakamura evades Crews. Nakamura then drops Crews into the Arm Bar. Crews struggles and Nakamura quickly turns that into a pin on Crews for the three count pin and win.

Winner: Shinsuke Nakamura

After the Match

Immediately following the match, we see that Apollo Crews is stunned, and quickly returns to his feet in order to attack a celebrating Shinsuke Nakamura from behind! Crews tosses Nakamura to the floor and launches him into the barrier at ringside as fans start to boo. Big E then yells at Apollo Crews to get his attention, informing him he lost, it’s over. Crews stares him down and grabs half of the steel steps. Big E warns Crews, shouting at him once again as he tells him to put the steps down as Crews goes to use them on Nakamura. Big E tells Crews to put the steps down and walk away because this is over.

Crews drops them and turns to walk away. Big E and a referee tend to Nakamura now. Crews picks the steps back up and rams them into Big E’s back, knocking E and Nakamura down to the floor at ringside. Fans are upset by this and begin to boo louder. Crews kneels down at Big E and proceeds to talk trash. Crews tosses the steps into the ring now while a referee checks on Big E, who is hurt on the ground. Crews kicks him and brings him in the ring, warning the referee to stay back. Crews lifts the steps but Big E rolls back to the floor. The referee tells Crews to put the steps back down.

As Crews begins to walk off, still holding the steel steps high in the air above his head, Crews proceeds to drop the steps over the top rope, to the ground at ringside. Coincidentally, they just so happen to land right on Big E. The boos get louder now. WWE Medics and officials rush down with a stretcher and start tending to Big E as we go back to commercial.

Quick Announcement

As we return from commercial break, Michael Cole states they are checking on Big E in the back, and Cole will be sure to update everyone as soon as an update is made available.

In-Ring – Seth Rollins

We return to ringside in the ThunderDome II as the entrance theme for the Friday Night Messiah (or something like that…) Seth Rollins makes his way to the stage. Rollins makes his way down the ramp and enters the ring where he is handed a microphone. Rollins begins by stating it was a tragedy, what just happened to Big E by his so called friend. Rollins states he can relate as he had to endure a tragedy himself, when he returned to the ring last week. He continues on to state that his “so called friends” betrayed him as he stood by himself, abandoned by his “friends”.

Video Clip – Seth Rollins Return Last Week

We head into a video clip that highlights Seth Rollins return to Friday Night SmackDown as the ring was surrounded by the WWE SmackDown roster. As Rollins spoke about the birth of his baby girl, everyone smiled and listened as he spoke. Then when Rollins began to discuss being the one to carry them through to the promise land, and be their leader. They began to walk off one by one, until Rollins was left by himself inside the ring and only one person at ringside, Cesaro.

A smiling Rollins states he KNEW Cesaro would get it! Cesaro shakes his head, then begins to walk off. Rollins smile fades and he exits the ring, returning to his old ways as he attacks at ringside.

We return to the ring where Rollins states he has suffered emotional trauma, he’s still suffering, and it’s unacceptable. He had to do something about it, so he and his lawyers have drafted a complaint. He continues on to state he WILL win his legal action lawsuit. He states he had planned for months and months for his return, that was RUINED by not his friends, but LOSERS. He states millions and millions have embraced his vision, and they will end up with a better tomorrow, a better SmackDown. Rollins states they will win, and everyone else are just losers… the biggest loser of all, is Cesaro.

Rollins thanks everyone for their time, and says good night as he exits the ring.

Edge wishes him luck and says he’d be glad to face him at WrestleMania. Owens states he is focused and ready to win the title.

Backstage – Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville

Next we head to a different area backstage where Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville stand by as they watch Big E being loaded into an ambulance after the brutal attack by Apollo Crews at ringside following his loss to Nakamura earlier in the night. With that, we head to commercial break once again.

Riott Squad vs. Tamina & Natalya

As we return from commercial break, we return to the ring where Ruby Riott and Liv Morgan representing The Riott Squad are in one corner and the tag-team of Tamina and Natalya are in the opposing corner, as we prepare for the next match-up of the evening (entrances were during the commercial break). Ruby Riott steps in for her team, Tamina in for hers as the referee stands between the two and signals for the bell to start this match. The bell rings and the next match-up of tonight’s SmackDown event is officially underway!

Riott and Tamina bott head in towards one another and meet in the center of the ring where Tamina immediately hammers on her and Ruby stumbles around in the ring. A Headbutt sends her into the corner, and Liv Morgan quickly makes the tag and heads into the ring where she proceeds to land several kicks on Tamina. Tamina counters with an Elbow to the knee of Liv. Tamina lifts Liv in a Fireman’s carry as she walks towards the turnbuckles, Liv kicks and shimmies her way out of Tamina’s hold. Tamina draws her up, Liv flips back in a Matrix-like duck under the Lariat by Tamina!

Tamina once again grabs Liv Morgan who again is able to slip out of the hold. Liv follows up with a Springboard, only to have Tamina counter with a heavy right hand that rocks Liv! At this point, Tamina heads to her corner where she allows Natalya to tag in. Natalya immediately heads in for the offense on Liv Morgan, landing a Slingshot Back Suplex that she reverses into a victory roll for the cover. A kick out at two, the match continues. Natalya grabs Liv by the hair, which seems to be her weakness because she then immediately makes the tag to Ruby who returns to the ring.

Riott lands several Stereo Dropkicks to Natalya to send Natalya to the canvas! Ruby then proceeds to begin to lands multiple blows to Natalya, sending her into the corner of the ring, quickly following up with a Snapmare. Natalya attempts to counter with a Lariat, Ruby successfully ducks under and runs the ropes, landing a Tilt-A-Whirl leading into Forearms before making the tag once again to Liv Morgan. Suddenly we see Billie Kay comes skipping down the ramp with cat ears on her head. Everyone is briefly distracted as it looks like she’s now jumped from trying to get with The Riott Squad to trying to get with Snuka and Natalya. Tamina again tags in as Natalya hits her corner, Tamina immediately blasts Morgan off the apron but she runs into a dropkick from Riott! Tamina hits a Black Hole Slam for the cover and the three count pin and win!

Winner: Natalya and Tamina

Next we head into a video clip that highlights Sasha Banks at the Daytona 500.

Backstage – Edge and King Corbin

After the video clip ends, we head backstage once again where we see the Rated-R Superstar, Edge, hanging out backstage as King Corbin walks up and begins talking to Edge. Corbin states that this feels like the main event of WrestleMania and Edge says that’s interesting. Corbin then informs Edge that SmackDown is his kingdom now. Corbin then proceeds to inform Edge just how expensive his suit is, as well as his watch… noting that due to that fact, Edge should bow down. Edge asks if Corbin wants to see his “timepiece” as he then presents his cell phone (nice!).

WWE Crew Sets Up “Ding-Dong, Hello?!” Set

We once again head to the ring where we see the WWE Crew setting up for the next segment, “Ding-Dong, Hello?!” as we head to the next commercial break of the evening!

“Ding-Dong, Hello?!

As we return from the commercial break, we see a door that has the “Ding-Dong, Hello?!” logo stuck to it, directly in the middle of the ring… just a random door. We then hear a door bell ring as Bayley steps through wearing a turtle neck, oversized glittery glasses, and carrying a microphone as she steps through the front door of her “Ding Dong, Hello!” set, unintentionally knocking over the plant next to the door. With a smile she states they need to get a better plant next time, then heads into her introduction.

Bayley welcomes everyone to the dos, (that means “second” she explains to Michael Cole who she apparently knows cannot speak Spanish), that’s right dos, episode of her talk show segment, “Ding-Dong, Hello?!”. Bayley continues on to state that she has two big guests tonight, the WWE Women’s Tag-Team Champions Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler.

Just then the door bell sounds once again, and Bayley heads over to opens the door and see who’s there. We see both Jax and Baszler standing there. They get stuck momentarily as they are welcomed in and both try to step in at the same time, they look to one-another, then take turns as they both step over the threshold and onto the “Ding-Dong, Hello?!” set as Bayley tells them both to take a seat. Both SmackDown Women’s Tag-Team Champions state they don’t want to sit. Bayley welcomes her guests and states she’s glad to have them here for the second show!

Bayley congratulates Baszler and Jax on their tag-team title reign, Jax counters she hopes Bayley isn’t upset they took the title from Bayley and Sasha Banks. Bayley states she isn’t upset as she was finally able to get rid of Sasha Banks, and look… she got her own show! She adds that there are talks of her getting Ellen DeGeneres’s talk-show spot! The topic then switches up as Baszler and Jax begin talking as they discuss Bianca Belair and SmackDown Women’s Champion Sasha Banks while Bayley laughs and listens.

Reginald The Sommelier Interrupts

Out of nowhere, Reginald The Sommelier comes out with a mic to interrupt. He begins as he states that he simply can’t let them slander the good name of Sasha Banks. He says she’s like a bottle of fine wine, while they’re like boxed wine as he continues to make his way onto the “Ding-Dong, Hello?!” set. Reginald enters the ring, er, set and Bayley wants him to use her front door but Jax gets in his face, as does Baszler as they proceed to talk trash to Reginald.

Sasha Banks Enters

Suddenly the entrance theme for The Boss, Sasha Banks, sounds over the speakers of the ThunderDome II arena as she makes her way out and heads over to Reginald where she proceeds to get into his face, informing him that he does NOT EVER speak for her.

Banks then turns her attention to Jax and Baszler, as she continues on to inform them that whether they like it or not, she is The Boss, and the title means she makes the rules. She goes on and says the women’s division revolves around her. Jax laughs at the thought.

Bianca Belair Interrupts

Estrogen flying at this point as the entrance music for the EST, Bianca Belair interrupts, and out comes Belair. Belair makes her way from the stage to the down the ramp and into the ring. To start off, she for Reginald as she enters the ring. Belair then tells Banks that she is the star of the division because she won the Royal Rumble and people don’t revolve around her, they get beat by her. It looks like Belair is about to pick her WrestleMania opponent but Reginald interrupts and says they all three are on the same team, and should be going against Jax, Baszler and Bayley. Reginald proposes a match. Jax is upset now. She starts yelling at Reginald. Baszler, Banks and Belair get in on the yelling while Bayley readies for a match. On that note, we head to commercial break.

Six-Person Tag-Team Match
Sasha Banks, Bianca Belair & Reginald The Sommelier vs. Nia Jax, Shayna Baszler & Bayley

As we return from the commercial break, commentary notes that the match began during the commercial break and is already underway. The WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Shayna Baszler is in for her team and Bianca Belair is in for hers as this match-up officially gets underway. To start off the action, Baszler heads in on Belair looking for a submission attempt, but the EST isn’t having it as she counters with a take-down as Baszler is sent to the canvas with a take-down! Belair continues the offense as she drops Baszler with a shoulder. Belair returns to her corner as SmackDown Women’s Champion Sasha Banks looks to make the tag as she stretches her hand in through the ropes.

Belair makes the tag to Banks and Banks immediately climbs in and runs at Baszler, hitting a Flying Knee to rock Baszler. With that, Baszler makes the tag to Reginald the Sommelier. As Reginald climbs in he is immediately sent right back out as he gets nailed with a Knee from Banks. Reginald tags in the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion, Nia Jax. Jax heads in like a huge beast as she immediately drops Banks with ease. Bayley wants in on the action as she shouts to Jax, Jax complies and allows Bayley to tag in. Bayley sends Banks to the canvas as she enters the ring, following up with multiple Forearm blows from Bayley.

Banks struggles to get back to her feet as Bayley then makes the tag to Baszler. Baszler returns to the ring as she lands an Elbow Drop to Banks’s injured knee, following up with more focus to Banks’s knee inside the ring. More quick tag action as Baszler then tags her co-reign for the SmackDown Women’s Tag-Team titles, Nia Jax. Jax immediately lifts and slams Banks to the canvas, going for the cover. The referee gets to the count of two when Banks gets her should up to continue the match. At one point both Banks and Belair point up at the WrestleMania sign hanging above the crowd. Reginald wants in on the moment, as he jumps in and joins them.

Jax takes advantage of the moment and quickly attacks an unsuspecting Banks, leveling The Boss! Jax continues to maintain control of the match as she continues to work over Banks, before finally making the tag to Bayley. Bayley once again enters the ring with Banks for the second time tonight, as she attacks Banks on the offense as she trash-talks her former “bestie”. Bayley looks for the cover, using the bottom rope for leverage as the crowd begins to “boo” in reaction. At this point, Baszler tags in and slams Banks, working on her injured leg some more. Banks vigorously tries to kick-free but Baszler just counters as she drives her into the mat.

At this point, Jax makes the tag and heads in for a quick double team action as Baszler sends Banks to the canvas with a Power Slam by Jax that immediately heads into a cover. Banks is able to kick out at the two. Banks struggles back to her feet in the corner of the ring as Jax runs full force looking for a Splash in the corner, Banks successfully side-steps sending Jax full force. Banks looks to Bayley and lands a Kick that sends Bayley to the floor at ringside. Reginald ends up in the center of the ring, pleading with Jax to take it easy. They lock up and Jax shoves him to the mat. Jax talks some trash and levels Reginald with a Shoulder as he charges.

Reginald tries for a Drop Toe Hold but he can’t move Jax. Jax tosses him into the corner but misses a splash. She then comes right back and flattens him. Jax goes for a leg drop but Reginald moves and she lands hard. Finally, Belair and Banks pull Baszler off the apron and double team her. Jax sees this and is momentarily distracted. She then turns her attention back to the ring just in time to take a Spin Kick from Reginald, though she catches him mid-air. Banks and Belair run in with a Double Dropkick to Jax, allowing Reginald to fall on top of her for the pin to win.

Winners: Reginald, Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair

After the Match

Immediately following the match, we see Bayley is still down at ringside, recovering. Jax is royally pissed as Reginald, Banks and Belair start celebrating their victory inside the ring. With that, we are sent into replays as Banks’ music plays. They continue celebrating on the ramp, Jax and Baszler pouting.

Backstage – Kayla and Cesaro

We head backstage with Kayla Braxton who is standing with Cesaro. Braxton notes the comments made by Seth Rollins’ earlier in the evening. Cesaro begins by stating that he was not trying to patronize Rollins last week, he was respecting him and just like everyone else he was hoping the old Rollins came back. He continues on to state that he’s known for years about Rollins’ skills and accomplishments, and everyone knew he had the chance to come back and make an impact but instead he came back as the same smug, condescending SOB that he was before.

Cesaro informs Braxton that that’s why everyone walked away from Rollins last week. Cesaro hasn’t forgotten about what Rollins did but as of right now, he needs to focus… first on tonight’s Six-Man match. Then he needs to focus on winning the Elimination Chamber, finally he will need to focus on going on to win the Universal Title from Roman Reigns.

Edge Joins Cesaro During Interview

On that note, Edge walks up. Edge states he doesn’t know what has gotten into Cesaro lately, but he admires the grit and says not many people here still have it. Cesaro, humbled slightly, thanks Edge. Cesaro mentions after he wins at the pay-per-view, he will see Edge at WrestleMania. Cesaro walks off as Edge watches.

Chad Gable and Otis make their way down the ramp and enter the ring with their opponents for the evening, Rey and Dominik. We see that the SmackDown Tag Team Champions Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler are on guest commentary. The bell rings and Gable takes Dominik down to start. They tangle some more and Gable goes for a German but Dominik lands on his feet.

Dominik with Dropkicks and a Kip Up for a pop. At this point, Otis tags in. Dominik charges but Otis levels him with a big shoulder. Otis goes for Rey as he tags in and flies with a senton. Otis turns it right back around and catches Rey with a big slam. Otis stands over Rey and drops a splash in the middle of the ring.

Dominik charges but Otis levels him with a double ax handle, sending him out to the floor. Gable comes in and coaches Otis as the referee warns them. Otis drops another splash on Rey as Gable coaches him. The referee calls the match, apparently because they didn’t listen to the count.

Winners by DQ: Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio

After the Match

Immediately following the disqualification, the referee crawls over to check on Mysterio, but clearly Gable and Otis aren’t done yet. They proceed to attack as they ignore the referee. Gable drags Rey over to the corner as Otis hits a big Splash from the second turnbuckle. Fans start booing Otis now. Gable hypes Otis up as he hulks up and stands tall. The referee checks on Rey while Alpha Academy celebrates now. Dominik is still down on the floor. We go to another replay. Gable continues hyping Otis up to end the segment.

Backstage – Edge and Daniel Bryan

As we head backstage, Edge approaches Daniel Bryan and says Bryan fighting to get his career back also inspired him, and he’s thankful. Bryan responds that he is glad Edge is back. Bryan proposes Edge pick him for WrestleMania 37 if he wins the Elimination Chamber and the Universal Title on Sunday. Edge asks if he would call that a dream match. Bryan says some people would call it long overdue. Edge says those people would be right. They nod at each other as Edge walks off. Bryan warms up for the main event as we go back to commercial.

We return from the commercial break to see Dominik Mysterio helping his dad stay on his feet at ringside. We get another replay of the attack by Otis. Dominik and a referee then proceed to help Rey up the ramp to the backstage area.

Backstage – Kevin Owens

Cesaro and Daniel Bryan are talking in the back when Kevin Owens walks up, asking if they want to talk strategy. Bryan says they were discussing what to do if they get hit with Stunners. Cesaro says Owens would never turn on them but they sarcastically talk about how Owens has turned in the past. Owens gets it.

Owens states that last week he interrupted a big fight and decided to strike first when he saw both of them coming for him. Owens says they don’t have to worry about a Stunner tonight because they’re on the same team and he really wants to win tonight, but on Sunday… they do have to worry about several Stunners. Owens walks off and Cesaro says at least he’s honest.

Dressing Room – Carmella

Carmela is seen backstage doing her hair and makeup when Reginald the Sommelier brings her a glass of wine. She asks where he was just now and why it took so long to bring her this glass. He says he had to make sure it was the perfect temperature. Carmella asks if they’re playing games now. She asks if he really thinks she just didn’t see him out in the ring. He says it’s not how it looks.

Carmella then tells Reginald to relax, saying she understands. She continues on to state that she knows Reginald will do the right thing because if he doesn’t… well let’s hope it doesn’t come to that. She takes a sip of the wine and spits it out, then tosses the rest in Reginald’s face. Carmella can’t believe he is serving this to her now. She tells him to go get a better glass and he walks off.
