Are you ready for a good time? The open package is shown as tonight’s Friday Night SmackDown kicks off for the April 3, 2020 episode, only one NIGHT from Wrestlemania. We are welcomed to the WWE Performance Center by Michael Cole.
In-Ring Show Opener
As we enter the Performance Center, there are several ladders set up in and around the ring, six directors chairs are set up in the center of the ring, though The Miz and John Morrison are nowhere to be seen for their “The Dirt Sheet” segment.
The Usos make their way to the ring as their music sounds. Jimmy and Jey then hype each other up as they claim they will become the new tag-team champions following the Ladder Match at Wrestlemania tomorrow evening. As they continue on, they are interrupted by the sounds of New Day’s music beginning over the speakers.
New Day’s music continues as Big E and Kofi Kingston make their way to the top of the ramp in the Performance Center, looking down at Jimmy and Jey Uso as they begin singing, “Ohh Noo! Ohhh Nooo!” They continue to chant it over and over as they roll into the ring, joining Jimmy and Jey Uso.
Big E states he and Kingston are going to climb the ladder and take the championship titles from Miz and Morrison. Jimmy and Jey interject saying New Day will have to get past them first. Then adding “if you recall, as soon as ‘Dumb and Dumber’ got involved, y’all was about to get run up on.” Kingston replies, “The way I remember it, we had y’all handled and then Lloyd and Harry came out.”
They then argue with Jimmy and Jey over how the match went down as a loud clearing of a throat from backstage is heard. The Miz again clears his throat. Miz states “Don’t mind us, it’s not like this is my show or anything.” He adds that although he and Morrison are “turtleneck tough guys” this is the mistreatment they’ve grown acustom to.
Miz continues, “Defend your titles against the entire divison at Elimination Chamber” Morrison responds, “Did that.” Miz then states, “Fight two teams who don’t deserve the opportunity in a Ladder Match.” Morrison again responds, “Why Not?” Miz states they do what needs done, because that’s what winners do.
Miz explains they all claim to be buddy buddy until it comes down to it in the ring, and while they are bickering back and forth, that is when Miz and Morrison will take that opportunity to climb the ladders to retain their championship. With that, Miz and Morrison then climb the ladders set up at the top of the ramp on the stage, The Miz stating, “That’s why we are the greatest tag team of the 21st Century” and as they reach the top, in unison they proclaim, “Be Jealous!”
The Usos and New Day both exit the ring and begin to run up the ramp towards The Miz and John Morrison who are still climbing down the ladders, a brawl is under way as Kingston holds Morrison and Jimmy throws a Superkick as Morrison side steps and Jimmy accidentally strikes Kingston. Miz and Morrison grab another ladder and run at the remaining superstars standing, one man at either end of the ladder, wiping them out.
Miz and Morrison once again climb to the top of the ladders at the top of the ramp, this time holding their tag-team championship belts above them as their music plays out the segment.

The shadowed figure clicks a button and a video clip begins to show on the screen, “He’s big, really big, but I think Otis is cute, in a different kind of way. And I think he’s really sweet.” Mandy Rose says to Sonya. Sonya then responds to Mandy stating she thinks Mandy doesn’t believe she supports her, adding she does and she’s excited for her.
