Friday night’s overnight Smackdown ratings came in with an average audience of 2.209 million viewers on FOX, up from last week’s 2.133 million and the highest since September 11.
More impressively, it came against ongoing coverage of the US presidential election which ate a chunk of the second hour with Joe Biden’s address later on in the night.
Among broadcast stations, Smackdown helped FOX win the 18-49 demographic with a 0.65 rating (its highest since March) and it also topped the charts in the 18-34 category with a 0.4 rating.
The final figures, which were released earlier today, saw Smackdown average 2.315 million across all markets with a 0.7 rating in 18-49, 0.4 in 18-34 and 0.8 in 25-54, all finishing #1 among broadcast networks.
Cable TV was another story as the election coverage on CNN pretty much dominated everything.
