Welcome to eWrestling.com's LIVE results coverage for the February 19, 2021 edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown which airs LIVE on the FOX Network from the ThunderDome II at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida at 8/7C on the USA Network! Tonight's episode of SmackDown will have all the blue-brand action leading into this Sunday's WWE pay-per-view event, WWE Elimination Chamber which will air on the WWE Network as the next stop on the Road to Wrestlemania!!

As advertised for the February 26th edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown by eWrestling's own @MattBoone0709 earlier today on our WWE Friday Night SmackDown Preview, Edge and Roman Reigns continue their Road to WrestleMania, Royal Rumble winner Bianca Belair to make her WrestleMania decision, The Street Profits battle Sami Zayn & King Corbin and Rey Mysterio & Dominik Mysterio take on Otis and Chad Gable. Don’t miss SmackDown, tonight at 8/7 C on FOX.

Show Opening

The show starts off at 8/7C on FOX Network as we are led into the familiar, "WWE Then... Now... FOREVER!" clip as we kick off the February 26, 2021 edition of the blue brand's WWE Friday Night SmackDown! Are you ready???

We are welcomed to tonight's WWE Friday Night SmackDown airing on the FOX Network as the clock hits 8/7C! The show kicks off as tonight's WWE Friday Night SmackDown has an action-packed show!

At the announcer's table on commentary are Michael Cole and Corey Graves who welcome us to tonight's broadcasting of WWE Friday Night SmackDown for February 26, 2021 brought to us by "Progressive" as we continue the action on the road to Wrestlemania 2021. But first...

In-Ring - WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns

We see the current WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns make his way to the stage with his cousin Jey Uso along with Special Counsil Paul Heyman walking closely behind their tribal chief! As they make their way down the ramp, commentary takes us into a video recap highlighting the Elimination Chamber Match where Daniel Bryan earned his opportunity to take on the Universal Champion, Daniel Bryan who was unable to stand following the Elimination Chamber Match! Bryan locks in the Yes Lock, Reigns then breaks the hold and proceeds to pummel Bryan, until he finally choked out Bryan to retain his title.

Suddenly Edge Speared Roman Reigns and points to the Wrestlemania sign above the ring, declaring that he will take on Reigns for the Universal Championship at Wrestlemania 2021!

Back In The Ring

We return to the ring where Roman Reigns stands with his title over his shoulder as the crowd chants, "You Suck!" over and over from the monitors inside the arena. Heyman hands Reigns a microphone. "I don't think it's a secret... SmackDown needs me." "The most exciting ass-whoopin' of the year... maybe the decade!" Reigns exclaims. Reigns points out that if anyone else did that, they would have had a celebration in the ring, but Reigns is at a higher level. Reigns states it wasn't perfect though, because of one man... Edge. The crowd roars.

"Yea, Edge got one. You got one Edge, you speared me... in my ring, on my night." Reigns continues. Noting that Edge then pointed at the Wrestlemania sign to make it officials. Reigns then gives Edge the opportunity to take it back. "Don't look back, Give up, go home, you've got a beautiful family. You're a father, a husband, I don't wanna hurt you. I like what you stand for, I appreciate your legacy, your come back, everything you represent. I don't wanna hurt you. So understand this..." Reigns leans into the camera, "A man like you, just doesn't stand a chance... against a man, like me." The crowd boos.

Daniel Bryan Enters

The leader of the "Yes Movement" appears at the top of the stage. The crowd chants, "Yes! Yes! Yes!" as Daniel Bryan begins, "Neeearly perfect. You described your title defense as nearly perfect." Bryan continues on to agree with Reigns on that. "You deserve to be celebrated, damn near perfection!" Bryan adds. Bryan then states he's heard some rumblings that coming out so quickly is "cowardly".

Daniel Bryan then states so there are no comparisons, how about this, Reigns defend his Universal Championship one more time, no qualifiers, just Bryan and Reigns... at Fastlane. "Whatchu doin' out here DB?" Uso asks as he snatches the mic from Bryan. Reigns then steps in to stare down Daniel Bryan, "After what I did to you... you really want me to hurt you again?" Bryan smiles, but suddenly Reigns "right hand man" attacks, sending Bryan out of the ring then over the barricade at ringside. Uso and Reigns laugh as Reigns music sounds and they make their way towards the ramp. Reigns and Uso make their way up the ramp.

Quick Announcement

Bianca Belair makes her decision as to who she will go up against at Wrestlemania, later tonight on SmackDown.


Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville are talking backstage when Edge walks in and tells Pearce they need to talk. We head to commercial break.

Backstage - Roman Reigns and Jey Uso

As we return from the commercial break, Jey Uso apologizes to Roman Reigns backstage stating he's sorry for jumping the gun earlier in the ring, Reigns tells his cousin there's no need to apologize, as long as he gets the job done. With that, Reigns walks off.

Backstage - Adam Pearce and Edge

We return to Edge speaking to Adam Pearce, "I get here tonight, and I hear Daniel Bryan potentially has a match at Fastlane, when I was told it was going to be a tag-match with me and DB against Jey Uso and Roman Reigns. Pearce says "No disrespect, it's a bigger attraction." Edge nods and reiterates, "No disrespect," as he walks off.

Rey Mysterio & Dominik Mysterio vs. Otis & Chad Gable

Out first are the Mysterios as they make their way down the ramp and enter the ring where they await their tag-team opponents for tonight's match up. Out next are Otis and Chad Gable as Chad says, "this is what happened last week" where we see Otis delivering a massive Splash off the top rope. Otis then stomps down the ramp as Gable tells him to be cool, relax, as he coaches Otis to "execute the plan". The bell rings and the match begins with Otis and Rey Mysterio starting off the action. Back and forth action, Gable tags in.

We continue the match as both Rey and Dominik head in for the 619 in Stereo which is then followed by a Splash by Mysterio for the cover on Gable. Otis enters and breaks the cover, delivering a Double Axhandle to Mysterio. Springboard attempt by Rey, Otis catches Rey mid-air then slams him to the canvas. Otis flies with a Splash from the second turnbuckle for the cover and the three count pin and win!

Winner: Chad Gable & Otis

Made official, Daniel Bryan vs. Jey Uso at Fastlane, if Bryan wins, he gets a chance at the Universal Title.

Quick Announcement

Big E is at home recovering, after the shocking attack by Apollo Crews last week. Once again, we head to commercial break.

In-Ring - Apollo Crews

"Apooolllooo!" sounds over the speakers as Apollo Crews makes his way to the stage.

Progressive Match-Flo

Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Apollo Crews with Big E watching from ringside. Apollo then attacks Nakamura from behind after his victory. Big E tells Crews the match is over, set down the steel stairs and "walk away". As Big E walks to check on Nakamura, Apollo once again picks up the steel stairs, attacking Big E. Big E exits the ring again as the referee tells Apollo to "put down the steel stairs" to which Apollo complies, dropping them right on Big E. We then see Big E taken out on a stretcher.

Back In The Ring

As we return to the ring, Apollo Crews begins, "A lot of people have been wondering whats going on with me lately. 'That's not the Apollo Crews we know'..." Crews begins. Crews continues on to state that he tried being nice, and showing respect, and he got nothing in return. He continues on to state he is not from the hood. He's not from suburbia. He's from Nigeria, a true African-American. "THIS is who I am, this is the REAL me." Apollo states, adding that his ancestors were Nigerian royalty, covered in gold. "This is what I represent!" The colors of his scarf represent "wealth, dominance, and power!" Apollo continues on, he went back to his roots, "I showed Big E the steal, and I guarantee he will never disrespect me again. I will show Nakamura the same thing. I guarantee he will NEVER disr...."

Nakamura Interrupts

Apparently not having a fear of disrespecting Apollo Crews, Shinsuke Nakamura makes his way out for tonight's match. As Nakamura continues his entrance, going for the pose, Apollo Crews attacks from behind, sending Nakamura to ringside. Apollo follows him to ringside as he picks up the steel stairs once again, the referee warns Crews off as we head to commercial break!

Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Apollo Crews

As we return from the commercial break, the match is already underway, a Suplex by Crews for the cover, Nakamura kicks out. Nakamura with a kick to the back of the neck of Crews. Axe-Kick to the back of the neck of Crews. Sliding Knee for the cover, Crews kicks out at the two, the match continues. Nakamura back to his feet, landing a couple Kicks to the body of Crews. German Suplex to Nakamura, then a second German Suplex, then a third for the cover. Nakamura kicks out at two! The crowd cheers as the match continues.

Nakamura heads in at Crews in the corner of the ring, taking out Crews's feet from beneath him with a Sliding Snap German Suplex. The match heads to ringside after a failed pin-fall attempt by Nakamura. Crews drags Nakamura back into the ring looking for the Lateral Military Press, Nakamura counters, with a Sleeper Hold. Crews uses his scarf for an assist, slamming Nakamura face-first into the turnbuckle. Crews follows up with a cover for the three count pin and win!

Winner: Apollo Crews

After the Match

Apollo grabs his scarf and smiles in victory as he stands tall inside the ring.

Backstage - Paul Heyman and Roman Reigns

If Daniel Bryan wins tonight, he gets a championship match at Fastlane." Reigns says, "So then the tag-team match is scraped for Fastlane?" Heyman reiterates, "IF Danie Bryan wins tonight..." Reigns puts his hand to his head, as he weighs his options.

Tamina vs. Liv Morgan

Entrances were made during the commercial break, as we return to the ring, the bell rings beginning this one on one match up between Riott Squad's Liv Morgan and Tamina. Morgan is stopped in her tracks with aq Big Boot from Tamina. Natalya standing in Tamina's corner, Ruby Riott standing in Liv's corner. Tamina shoves Liv's face into the turnbuckle in the corner, then a Splash for the cover. Liv gets her shoulder up just in time.

The match continues as Liv lands a few good Strikes, a Clothesline takes Liv down to the canvas. Tamina lands a German Suplex to take Liv down once again. Ruby shouting in to Liv who attempts to fight back. Tamina slams Liv face-first into the canvas. Liv crawls around the ring until she is dragged back to her feet. Liv looks for a Back Slide to no avail, Snap Enzuguri, rocks Tamina. Liv with multiple Right Hands. Tamina counters, Liv with a Kick, then a Double Foot Dropkick to Tamina for the cover.

Natalya shouts, "Finish her!" from ringside, Tamina, slams Liv into the corner, then a Samoan Drop. Tamina shouts, then drags Morgan and slams her to the canvas for the three count pin and win!

Winner: Tamina

After the Match

Natalya enters the ring and lifts Tamina's hand in victory as Ruby assists Liv out of the ring.

Backstage - Bianca Belair

We see Bianca Belair making her way to the stage as she is ready to announce who she will take on at Wrestlemania 2021! But first we head to commercial break!

In Ring - Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville

As we return from the commercial break, Sonya Deville and WWE Official, Adam Pearce are announced to the ring. Pearce notes that Bianca Belair is the "Future of WWE", Deville states, "The future is now!" The 2021 Women's Royal Rumble Winner, Bianca Belair makes her way to the stage as she's announced!

Bianca Belair Joins

Bianca Belair's entrance theme sounds and Belair twirls her long braid as she makes her way down the ramp and enters the ring! The crowd begins to chant "EST! EST!" Pearce notes it's been almost a month since... Bianca interrupts and says, "It's been exactly 3 weeks, 5 days, 2 hours, and 6 minutes since I won the Royal Rumble match, and it changed, my life!" Sonya says, "That's just the beginning, because now you get to take on the champion of your choosing at Wrestlemania!" Deville continues asking, "Will it be, the Empress of Tomorrow, Asuka?" as we see a video package highlighting Asuka. Deville then states, "Or will it be the standard, the Boss, the blue-print, Sasha Banks?" We then see a video package highlighting the accomplishments of Sasha Banks!

Belair notes her Mama told her the choices you make define who you are, and her choice is clear. As she goes to speak, music sounds...

Reginald The Sommelier Interrupts

Belair ready to make her decision is then interrupted by Reginald the Sommelier. Reginald states Belair's mama is right, as he makes his way down the ramp and enters the ring. He notes that Belair is special, and we are all in awe as s he is living her dream, but... he knows deep in his heart, if she takes on Sasha Banks, her dream with drop into a horrible nightmare. Belair will be on the mat, defeated, as she hears her mama's words, noting that Belair is nothing but a loser at that point.

Sasha Banks Joins

Sasha Banks makes her way out at this point! Banks takes the mic from Reginald. Banks shoves Reginald as she reminds him she has told him to never speak for her. Banks states she is more than the champion, she is the standard, and if Bianca wants to be the topic of conversation, she will choose Banks. Banks says she's the bEST, which makes Belair second best. "Oh it's true..."

"Girl... uh-uh... you standing here you got a whole lot to say, so I'm gonna make you eat your words. On the grandest stage of them all, I'm gonna take your title!" Belair says, "So Sasha..." as she points to the Wrestlemania sign, "it's on." Pyro goes off, as Bianca Belair dances around continuing to point at the sign, Sasha Banks holding up her title right next to Belair. Belair's music sounds.

Backstage - Sami Zayn and King Corbin

We head backstage where Sami Zayn is with his "production crew" for his documentary when King Corbin walks up stating he doesn't know why Zayn spoke for him, making a match as tag-team partners against the Street Profits. Zayn states they may not get along, but they work well together inside the ring and he doesn't know about Corbin, but he could use a big win right now. He then notes they could even come up with a name like, "The New Kingdom Of Liberty" or something along those lines. Corbin agrees they could both use a big win, but not to ever talk for him again and then pushes the camera crew away telling them to stop recording him all the time. Zayn states they can edit the last part out.

Street Profits vs. Sami Zayn & King Corbin

We return to the arena as Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins of The Street Profits make their way to the stage as their entrance theme sounds in the ThunderDome II and red cups spill down from the ceiling. They then make their way down the ramp towards the ring as we head to commercial break!

As we return from the commercial break, "We want smoke! We want smoke!" is chanted from the monitors surrounding the ring. Out next comes King Corbin as his entrance theme sounds. Corbin awaits his partner, Sami Zayn as Zayn's music sounds and Zayn comes out with his documentary crew follows close behind. Zayn enters the ring as the referee signals for the bell, Ford in for his team. The bell rings and the match begins. Ford powers Zayn into the corner of the ring to start off.

Zayn with a Kick taking Ford to one knee, Knife-Edge Chop by Zayn. Ford with a Deep Arm Drag take down. We see the Dirty Dawgs watching from backstage on a monitor. Back in the ring, Corbin tags in as does Dawkins. Shoulder Tackle by Corbin. Dawkins back to his feet, landing a Drop Kick to Corbin! Corbin out of the ring, goes to slide back in quickly, but Zayn's film makers are in the way, Corbin shouts, "GET OUT OF THE WAY" but the moment has passed as Corbin climbs up on the apron just in time to be knocked back off by Dawkins as we head to commercial break!

Back from commercial break and Ford is in the ring with Corbin as Corbin delivers multiple blows to Ford before tagging in Zayn.

Zayn makes a quick tag back to Corbin. Corbin whips Ford into the corner, Ford with a Big Boot followed by a Step Up Enzuguri. Ford makes the tag to Dawkins after Zayn attempted to stop him. Dawkins slams Zayn with a Bulldog for the cover, Zayn kicks out at two. Corbin returns to the ring, Dawkins slams Corbin out of the ring. Zayn, gets the cover on Dawkins for the two. Corbin asks the camera crew why they are filming him, as Corbin shoves one down. Ford flies over Zayn onto Ford. Neck Breaker by Dawkins and a tag, From the Heavens for the three count pin and win by Ford!

Winners: Street Profits

After the Match

We get replays as The Street Profits stand tall in victory. Corbin shouting at Sami Zayn at ringside!

Backstage - Daniel Bryan

Charly Caruso stands backstage with Daniel Bryan as she states Bryan has a chance to earn another Universal match, is there a chance facing Edge as champion at Wrestlemania. "I would have to beat Jey Uso tonight and Roman Reigns at Fastlane." Bryan states he doesn't know if Edge has what it takes to beat Roman Reigns.

Edge Interrupts

Edge walks up, "You don't think I can beat Roman, but if you win tonight you could easily beat Roman..." Daniel said, "I didn't say easily..." Edge asks who would win if they both meet up at Wrestlemania? Bryan says he'll keep that answer to himself, but he still has to beat Jey tonight, so he's focusing on that.

In-Ring - Seth Rollins

Seth Rollins makes his way to the ring as we head to commercial break!

As we return from commercial break, Rollins begins by stating that he has incredible news to share. The letter Rollins wrote to WWE got a HUGE response on Twitter, TikTok, etc...

Cesaro Interrupts

Rollins welcomes Cesaro out, saying "We go back a long way, hear me out, trust me. Trust me. We go back a long way, trust me. What happened two weeks ago was an accident. I didn't call you a loser, Twitter blew that WAY out of proportion. Old buddy... gimme a chance to make this right. Hear me out. Stay right there. Right there in the center of the ring, like the STAR that you are. Don't worry, I'm not gonna do anything. Look at you, who says you can't grab the brass ring?! You are a STAR! Strong. Powerful. Pound for pound, probably the strongest to step foot in a WWE ring, one of the best technical wrestlers in WWE history.

So my question for you, friend to friend, why is it that you always seem to come up short? What is it, that you are missing? I will tell you what it is. Because I have it, it's KILLER INSTINCT. I have it, and I can give it to you. I came BACK to SmackDown to lead it into the future. I will start, if you let me, by leading you. I have grabbed the brass ring, and shattered the glass ceiling. I want to give that... to you. Imagine it. Imagine, you and me, working side by side on SmackDown... we would be UNSTOPPABLE! As a matter of fact, if you had listened to me two weeks ago, instead of walking out on me, you would've one the Elimination Chamber and beat Roman Reigns, and you would be standing here Universal Champion.

Rollins continues on to state there's a second chance, let him lead Cesaro, and embrace the vision. "What do you say Cesaro? You don't have to answer right now, take a week, take two weeks... We will be waiting." Cesaro grabs Rollins as he says "No! NO! Put me down!" Cesaro spins Rollins over and over and over, finally releasing a very dizzy Reigns who lost his jacket and mic in the spin. Cesaro knocks Rollins with an Uppercut to finish! Cesaro then exits the ring, making his way up the ramp.

Daniel Bryan Entrance

Daniel Bryan makes his way to the stage, fist bumping Cesaro as he makes his way down the ramp chanting, "Yes! Yes! Yes!" in preparation for his match with Jey Uso, as we head to commercial break!

Daniel Bryan vs. Jey Uso

With Bryan already in the ring, out next is Jey Uso as "UUUUSSSSSSOOOO" sounds in the arena! Jey Uso makes his way down the ramp and towards the ring where his opponent, Daniel Bryan is awaiting him inside the ring. The referee signals for the bell, the bell rings and the match is officially underway! Bryan works over Uso early on in the match. Bryan sets Jey on the top turnbuckle, Bryan flips Jey to the canvas with a Hurricanrana and gets the cover, Uso kicks out at two!

Back to his feet, Bryan goes at Uso once again, Uso exits the ring. As Bryan runs across the ring, looking to fly, Uso with a Superkick, stopping Bryan dead in his tracks. Uso slams Bryan's bad knee into the announcer's table, then re-enters the ring. Uso exits again as the referee begins the count, Uso slamming Bryan's bad knee into the ring post as we head to commercial break!

As we return from commercial break, Uso is still attacking the injured knee of Bryan. Bryan looking for the Yes Lock, Uso counters with multiple blows to the exposed injured knee of Daniel Bryan. Bryan up to his feet, Samoan Drop for the two count cover on Bryan. Uso gets back to his feet, heading to the top turnbuckle, looking for the Splash, Bryan rolls out of the way.

Bryan sits up, trying to get some feeling back into his knee. Bryan getting multiple kicks to Uso as the crowd shouts, "Yes!" Jey Uso with a light right hand, Bryan sends Uso over the top rope. Bryan then sends Uso to the floor. Running Knee to Uso off the apron, the crowd continues to shout, "Yes! Yes!" Bryan throws Uso back into the ring. Bryan climbs to the top turnbuckle, Uso back to his feet quickly, targeted Dropkick to the back of Bryan's knee. Uso locks in a Half Crab!

Bryan desperately drags himself to the bottom rope, Uso drags Bryan back to the center of the ring, Bryan rolls on his back, using his good leg to break the hold. The crowd pops! Bryan back to his feet, Uso takes a Kick to the face, Bryan gets the cover, Uso kicks out at two! Bryan kicks out of yet another pin attempt by Jey Uso. Jey climbs to the top turnbuckle, Bryan shoves Jey off the top, then meets him at the top, Butterfly Superplex, and attempts to get the Yes Lock, Jey fighting back, getting the bottom rope! Uso falls out of the ring, Bryan is driven into the steps by Uso. The official gets to the count of 10 and we get a double count out!

Double Count-Out

After the Match

Daniel Bryan gets the Yes Lock locked in, Reigns attacks Daniel Bryan, Bryan locks in the Yes Lock on Reigns when suddenly Uso gets an Uso Kick to Bryan. Bryan struggles to get to his feet, a Spear from Reigns followed by the Guillotine on Bryan! "You Suck! You Suck!" chant from the crowd!

Show Ends!
