WrestleMania 41 will take place in Las Vegas, the hometown of “Stone Cold” Steve Austin.
Austin’s last in-ring appearance came at WrestleMania 38, where he triumphed over Kevin Owens in the headline match of night one. Fans had high hopes of seeing him return for WrestleMania 40, but he was notably absent during the main event that saw Cody Rhodes face Roman Reigns in a run-in heavy bout.
When speaking to The Schmo, Austin was questioned about his potential involvement in WrestleMania 41.
“I haven’t been in contact with anybody, so I guess anything can happen, but I’m here to run the Mint 400 and that’s what my sights are set on. I’m not looking to Mania. I’m looking to the Mint 400. I’ve got a brand new left knee, it’s my first race back, and I’m gonna go out there and kick ass to see if I can do it as well as I can,” Austin remarked.
At the end of 2024, Austin underwent a total knee replacement.
