WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross Undergoes Successful Colon Cancer Surgery; Update On His Condition

Legendary AEW commentator Jim Ross has undergone what appears to be a successful surgery to remove cancerous tumors.

Conrad Thompson, who co-hosts Ross’ podcast with him, shared an update earlier this afternoon via Rafael Morffi that JR is out of surgery and doctors are hopeful that they have removed all of his cancer. The 73-year old now begins his recovery from the procedure.

“Just heard from [Rafael Morffi] that JR’s surgery went well and they hope to have successfully removed all of his cancer this morning! Please keep @JRsBBQ in your thoughts and prayers as he begins his recovery!”

Two weeks ago Ross announced that he had been diagnosed as having colon cancer and that surgery was needed to remove the cancerous growth in multiple places. He added that he expects to come back and continue his wrestling career as a commentator as long as AEW President Tony Khan shares the same interest.
