WWE Hall of Famer Jerry “The King” Lawler popped up in the news this week after having withdrawn from multiple appearances citing personal health reasons. Now, more specifics regarding what ails Lawler have come to the forefront.

Lawler’s daughter confirmed to TMZ that her father suffered a stroke last week, September 5, but that he is well on his way to recovery. The report adds that Lawler suffered the medical issue at one of his Florida homes and that his daughter is taking him back to his primary residence where he will rest for a few weeks as he aims to get “back to normal.”

Lawler is no stranger to strokes, having suffered one in 2018 and then a major one in 2023 and that ended up impacting his ability to speak and write. He has been relatively healthy over the last two years, other than a knee replacement surgery last year, and was recently spotted at Vince McMahon’s 80th birthday party last month prior to the stroke last week.
