Afa, the uncle of WWE Superstar Roman Reigns and a former WWE Tag Team Champion as part of the legendary Wild Samoans tag-team during his active in-ring career, appears to be on his last leg health-wise.
There have been conflicting reports regarding him passing away at the age of 81, and while his death is imminent, Afa hasn’t actually passed away yet. Sadly, his brother Sika passed away less than two months ago.
Afa, who has been in poor health for several years, and had underwent multiple surgeries in recent months, was the focus of an emotional statement from his oldest son, Samu Anoa’i, who shared the following on his Facebook page:
“As we embark on your final journey home, we express our heartfelt gratitude for the unwavering love and guidance you have bestowed upon us throughout our lives. We find solace in knowing that you will soon be reunited with the Lord Jesus, your parents, siblings, and friends who have gone before us. We have no doubt that you will establish a Wild Samoan training center in the sky, bringing us all together once again. We believe in the power of your love and legacy, and we will continue to honor it in all that we do.
Respectfully yours
Big Sam Anoa’i.
The oldest cousin of the Bloodline clan.”
Prayers and love go out to the mighty legend Afa the Wild Samoan and his family. 🙏 🇼🇸 pic.twitter.com/xNBN7ZMmeU
