It looks like WWE could be headed outdoors for some television shoots for the first time since the global pandemic.
The WrestleVotes Twitter account is reporting that WWE has assembled a small team to explore the feasibility of whether the company has any options of running TV shows – Raw and Smackdown – from an outdoor venue.
WWE’s contract with the Amway Center expires at the end of October and so the company is obviously looking at dates beyond that an eyeing the outdoor venues in “Southern states with good weather.”
We will keep you posted here at eWrestling.com as updates continue to surface regarding WWE holding TV tapings at outdoor venues.
Over the past week or so, WWE assembled a small team to figure out if running TV from outdoors venues would be fesisble once the ThunderDome contract expires. Idea is both SD & RAW would be in same location each week. Southern states with good weather is the preference. All TBD.
