Samoa Joe Injury Update

WWE Injury Updates: Samoa Joe’s Status, Xavier Woods’ Achilles Issues & More

Samoa Joe is set to be re-evaluated for his thumb injury at the 12/30 Raw in order to be officially cleared for in-ring action, though by almost all accounts, he’s been pretty much ready to go as of early December and has been used as a color commentator – a role in which he has excelled in and generated a ton of praise backstage by WWE officials.

Xavier Woods, who is recovering from a ruptured Achilles tendon, is set to be re-evaluated in the spring time frame. According to online reports, he is expected to be sidelined from six months to a year, though WWE sources note that he is unlikely to be back in time for WrestleMania but is “ahead of schedule” and looks to be trending to be cleared shortly before summer if he does not hit any setbacks.
