Don’t expect to see “The Animal” in a prominent role at WrestleMania 37 this year.
On a new installment of his PW Insider Elite Radio program, veteran pro wrestling journalist Mike Johnson addressed a question from a fan who asked about whether or not the WWE Universe will witness another in-ring return for Batista on “The Grandest Stage of Them All” in April.
“He’s in Australia filming the new Thor film and he’s retired,” Johnson said in response to the aforementioned fan-question. “I don’t see that happening.”
He concluded, “Not as a big of [Wrestle]Mania.”
Whether or not the former Evolution member will appear at WrestleMania 37 at all remains to be seen. It is worth noting that he was one of the featured inductees into the 2020 class of the WWE Hall Of Fame, which is expected to be virtually inducted as the class for this year’s WrestleMania Weekend festivities.
We will keep you posted here at eWrestling.com as updates continue to surface regarding Dave Bautista’s WWE status and a possible appearance or match at WrestleMania 37 later this year.
