Guerrero worked with AEW from 2019 until February 2023, when her contract expired without being terminated. After leaving AEW, Guerrero became involved in controversy when her daughter Sherilyn accused her stepfather, Kris Benson (Guerrero’s husband), of sexual assault during a cruise just before the COVID-19 lockdowns.
