— WWE presents Saturday Night’s Main Event later this month on December 14 and as has become obvious, the event is expected to tap heavily in the past with similar theme music, logos and atmosphere while holding the event at the same venue where the very first Saturday Night’s Main Event took place in 1985. On this week’s WrestleVotes Radio, it looks like WWE is also looking to bring in one of its most prominent stars during that time – Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan.
— The report noted that WWE has had initial discussions in bringing in specific legends for the event that would pay homage to the very first event almost 40 years ago. Among the names being discussed include former WWF Women’s Champion Wendi Richter as well as Hogan and his opponent on that night, Cowboy Bob Orton. An earlier report indicated that Hall of Fame manager Jimmy Hart is already booked for the show and Hart has been closely associated with Hogan in recent times.
