The WWE main roster appears safe, however there may still be some issues with talents on WWE’s black-and-gold brand of WWE NXT in terms of potential releases still to come from the world’s sports entertainment leader.
On the latest Wrestling Observer Radio at F4WOnline.com, there are not expected to be any more main roster cuts apart from what was announced earlier in the week.
NXT cuts though could still be announced over the next few days and in fact, there may already be many more talent already released that just didn’t get made public.
It was also noted – as we already reported – that all of the producers that were listed as being cut are actually furloughed which in theory leaves open the possibility that they will be brought back up when live events resume.
It is believed that with all the cuts, WWE is saving just over $700,000 on a monthly basis.
In their press release, WWE noted that the savings would be $4 million but that would take into account not just talent salaries but all other expenses that they have cut.
With WWE’s earnings report scheduled later this month, there is speculation that WWE – by cutting costs – will be able to talk about the efficiencies they are taking and painting a better picture of their outlook moving forward.
The #WWE main roster appears safe, however according to latest backstage update, the #WWENXT brand could still see some additional cuts, as #NXT talents could still be cut as part of massive ongoing #WWEReleases …
