As per pwinsider.com, his segment was not listed on the final run sheet for the PPV and nobody was told he was coming back for sure except for a small circle of people.

— Becky Lynch was backstage at Money in the Bank and while she did not appear on camera, her return is obviously imminent.

— In a rare appearance, Linda McMahon was backstage at the PPV and was also seen sitting at ringside for the main events. Stephanie McMahon was also in attendance (and WWE promoted this) but it’s not known if Shane McMahon was there.
