WWE MONDAY NIGHT RAW “GO-HOME” EDITION RESULTS (04/05/2021)

Show Opening

The WWE Then… Now… Forever opening plays first before we hear the opening theme song for WWE Monday Night RAW “Go-Home” Edition for Monday, April 5th, 2021, which is the FINAL episode before this weekend’s special two-day pay-per-view event as we are about to reach the final destination on the “road to WrestleMania 37!”

This Saturday kicks off the two-day the critically acclaimed ThunderDome at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida as tonight’s WWE Monday Night RAW officially begins with the entrance theme of former-WWE Champion, Drew McIntyre sounds in the ThunderDome to a pop from the crowd!

In-Ring – Drew McIntyre

Drew McIntyre makes his way to the stage as the familiar entrance theme sounds in the ThunderDome as McIntyre makes his way to the stage. He is formally introduced as he makes his way down the ramp towards the ring as the “WrestleMania” sign hangs above the crowd of monitors across from the apron where McIntyre climbs up and into the ring to kick off tonight’s edition of WWE Monday Night RAW!

As McIntyre enters the ring, the commentary team of Tom Phillips and sitting next to him, Byron Saxton as Phillips sends us into a video clip from “Last Monday” on RAW.

“Last Monday On RAW”

We immediately are sent into the video clip where McIntyre states, “Lashley is afraid of Drew McIntyre…” right into the face of the current WWE Champion Bobby Lashley. Lashley not wanting to hear it, mushes the face of McIntyre when suddenly King Baron Corbin (from SmackDown) appears behind McIntyre and delivers a Deep Six to McIntyre, answering the offer from the “Almighty” with an ambush.

The WWE Champion Bobby Lashley then locks in the Hurt Lock and shakes McIntyre like a rabid dog as Corbin taunts McIntyre who is unable to do or say anything until he is finally released by Lashley and dropped to the canvas inside the ring.

(Back In The Ring Tonight 04/05/21)

We return to the ring for tonight’s edition of WWE Monday Night RAW as McIntyre begins, “The final RAW before WrestleMania, five days… until WrestleMania.” McIntyre continues on to state he can recall how “unique” WrestleMania was last year as it was the first time it was broken into a two-day special and aired without an audience in the arena. McIntyre then turns his attention to this year’s WrestleMania where he will main event the show with his match for the WWE Championship against the current reigning champion (The Hurt Business member) Bobby Lashley.

McIntyre takes the mic and warns the current WWE Champion, Lashley, that their match WILL take place as the main event at WrestleMania. He continues on to state that they will rip each other to shreds. He talks about how he and Lashley have taken a similar path during their early days in WWE and their journey to WWE Championship… how they missed birthdays, weddings, holidays, families, etc. McIntyre then shifts slightly as he states that the difference between them is how McIntyre is willing to sacrifice and has sacrificed.

At this point, McIntyre continues on to state that a man that is willing to sacrifice EVERYTHING cannot be defeated. McIntyre then continues on to state that he plans on running through “King” Corbin tonight in their match-up before moving on to the main event at WrestleMania where he will then take back what is rightfully his… the WWE Championship Title.

The Hurt Business Interrupts

Suddenly the entrance theme for The Hurt Business members, WWE Champion Bobby Lashley and THB-leader MVP sounds as the two make their way to the stage before Lashley speaks directly to McIntyre who is standing in the center of the ring. Lashley begins by asking if McIntyre “is done yet” as Lashley goes on to state that “everyone is tired of hearing you talk about last year’s WrestleMania.”

Lashley then continues on to state that McIntyre WAS in fact “a great champion” but he then quickly adds that McIntyre’s time as champion is now over. Lashley continues on to inform McIntyre that everyone in the locker room has been afraid of McIntyre for a long time, but Lashley recently saw a shift shift during last week’s Monday Night RAW. Lashley notes that he “felt” McIntyre “fade out” while being submitted in The Hurt Lock.

At this point the two superstars continue a back and forth battle of wits as Lashley finally makes a point of bringing up his match against Cedric Alexander for tonight’s edition of WWE Monday Night RAW. McIntyre states that he wants to get the fight done now… why wait until WrestleMania? As McIntyre and Lashley begin to argue back and forth once again, MVP interrupts and quiets both superstars as he states, “that’s not how it works” and adds that they’ll wait until WrestleMania.

The yelling back & forth continues with The Hurt Business on the stage as MVP turns to McIntyre and states that Drew is “doing a lot of tough talk” considering how McIntyre “might not make it to WrestleMania.”

Baron Corbin Interrupts Next

As the argument goes on back and forth between Drew McIntyre and The Hurt Business member MVP and Bobby Lashley, we suddenly hear the entrance theme for King Corbin sound in the ThunderDome as Corbin makes his way out in regular street attire to interrupt. Corbin begins by agreeing that McIntyre might in fact NOT make it to Saturday’s WWE WrestleMania 37 (Night One). Corbin then continues on to state that something was started last week that Corbin felt the need to finish TONIGHT.

After that Corbin continues on to state that he is going to whoop McIntyre’s “punk ass” during his match-up with the former WWE Champion tonight on the “Go-Home” Edition of WWE Monday Night RAW. At this point, King Corbin’s music once again starts back up through the speakers of the ThunderDome as McIntyre simply stares them all down on the stage as he keeps his position in the center of the WWE ring in the ThunderDome in St. Petersburg, Florida!

To end the segment, we see The Hurt Business member WWE Champion Bobby Lashley hold his WWE Championship belt high above his head to signal a statement to McIntyre heading into this weekend’s WrestleMania 37 (Night One) main event match-up for the title!

Video Replay – AJ Styles And Omos

Next we head into a video recap showing the phenom AJ Styles and his big buddy Omos as we get a look at how the two came to be RAW Tag Team partners. We then see how the two successfully took out the WWE RAW Tag Team Champions Kofi Kingston and Xavier Wood of The New Day during last week’s edition of WWE Monday Night RAW.

Quick Announcement

We are then informed that AJ Styles vs. Xavier Woods will take place during tonight’s “Go-Home” Edition of WWE Monday Night RAW. This sends us into the first commercial break of the evening!

Backstage – The New Day and The Original Bro

As we return from the first commercial break of the evening, we head backstage where The New Day members Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods are in the middle of a discussion when The Original Bro, Matt Riddle makes his way into the frame as he walks up to the New Day members They ask Riddle about Sheamus and he says he’s stinky, then mentions he’ll have to deal with Mustafa Ali as well. Riddle rides off and Kofi asks if he’s high, then if he and Woods are high because he’s craving cookies.

Next we hear the entrance theme for The New Day sound in the main arena as The Original Bro Matt Riddle makes his exit as Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods head to the main stage to make their entrance for Woods’s singles match against AJ Styles which is coming up next!

Xavier Woods vs. AJ Styles

Following their backstage encounter with The Original Bro, Matt Riddle, we see The New Day members Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods make their way to the stage as their entrance theme continues to play over the speakers in the ThunderDome. Woods looks prepared for his singles match against his opponent, AJ Styles as Woods stands in the center of the ring awaiting his opponents arrival to the ring.

We next hear the entrance theme for the phenomenal AJ Styles who is accompanied to the stage by his larger than life friend, Omos (who is also now Styles’s tag-team partner). Styles looks down to Xavier Woods before then making his way down the ramp and entering the ring with his opponent in this one-on-one singles match with Xavier Woods. We are informed that tonight’s match-up is technically a “re-match” as Woods won by DQ last week in their match last week on RAW.

With both competitors standing in their corners inside the ring, the referee moves to the center of the ring where he then signals for the bell. The bell rings and this match-up is officially under way! To start off the action inside the ring, we see both Styles and Woods exchanging less than friendly comments as they size one another up inside the ring. Next we see the two superstars meet in the center of the ring as they proceed to move into a Lock Up before Styles sends Woods flying into the corner. Styles takes advantage of the momentary distraction as Woods attempts to gather his baring’s.

Styles continues to beat Woods down inside the ring before sends Woods across the ring with a huge Hip Toss that lands Woods in the corner of the ring once again. Woods looks to have had enough of this offensive action from Styles as Woods begins to fight back with all his might when suddenly Styles re-gain control of the match up as he locks in a Calf Crusher on Woods in the center of the ring, giving Woods nowhere to turn to attempt to break the hold with ropes as he is unable to wriggle his way free from Styles’ grips!

At this point we see that Xavier Woods might need a little distraction help from his buddy/tag-team partner as Kofi Kingston. We witness Kingston slyly grabbing a microphone from ringside where he proceeds to talk trash to AJ Styles’ tag-team partner (and larger than life buddy that has accompanied him to the ring almost every single time he’s been called out). As Kofi proceeds to talk trash to Omos, Omos looks to be getting angry and angry until Kingston does the unthinkable and proceeds to THROW the microphone at Omos!

This causes AJ Styles to become enraged as Kingston then makes his escape by running through the center of the ring. Styles watches on as he then sees his friend/tag-team partner Omos gives chase as he makes his way through the ring as well forcing Styles to release the submission hold he had on Woods in the center of the ring.

Finally, Xavier Woods takes advantage of the momentarily distracted AJ Styles as Woods quickly turns things around as he is free from the submission and looking over at the clearly distracted Styles as he proceeds to rush Styles and roll Styles up for the three count pin and win to end this singles match on tonight’s WWE Monday Night RAW!

Winner: Xavier Woods (representing The New Day)

After The Match

Immediately following the one-on-one match-up between the phenomenal AJ Styles and The New Day member Xavier Woods, we head into the highlights from the match, including the quick action by Woods at the end of the match to win him the victory in the match-up! Back inside the ring we see The New Day members celebrating their victory.

Backstage – Damian Priest & Bad Bunny

Next we head backstage (or in the parking lot of the Tropicana Field arena in St. Petersburg, Florida which is home of the WWE ThunderDome. As we see the parking area, a three million dollar all white Bugatti comes rolling up into the parking lot. Who else but Damian Priest and his good buddy Bad Bunny make their way out of the ridiculously expensive vehicle as they then proceeds to strut through the parking lot and into the ThunderDome side door which leads them into the backstage hallways as the two continue on down the hall.

Backstage – Braun Strowman

As we continue through the backstage area, we come upon the “Monster Among Men” himself, Braun Strowman who is walking with a purpose down the halls of the backstage area at the ThunderDome II as we head to the commercial break!

Video Promo – WWE WrestleMania 37 (Nights 1 & 2)!!

We return from the commercial break as we are immediately sent into a video package that highlights the upcoming two-day extravaganza which is set to take place on “the grandest stage of them all” as WWE WrestleMania 37 (Night One) is only a couple days as it kicks off Saturday, April 10th, 2021 on the WWE Network!! For those who didn’t want to or feel the next to ,kk

2-on-1 Handicap Steel Cage Match
Elias & Jaxson Ryker vs. Braun Strowman

Next we return to the ring inside the ThunderDome II at St. Petersburg, Florida’s Tropicana Field arena as we prepare for the next match up of the evening. As we prepare for the match, we get the entrance theme for the “Monster Among Men” as we see Braun Strowman make his way to the stage as the pyro goes off around him.

As we get a glance at the ring, we see that the steel cage has been placed around the ring as the commentary team sitting at ringside discuss the match of Braun Strowman vs. Shane McMahon which is set to take place at WWE’s WrestleMania 37 following the taunting and downright disrespect shown by Shane McMahon as directed at Strowman which includes McMahon calling Strowman “stupid” on multiple occasions over the last few weeks.

We return to the ring where we see Braun Strowman grabbing a microphone as he begins by stating that he has been “bullied” his entire life due to his large stature and it’s happened his entire life… especially by the likes of people like Shane McMahon. Strowman then continues on to give a warning that Shane-O-Mac clearly doesn’t realize just what he’s really gotten himself into when it comes to the match that is set for WrestleMania 37 between McMahon and Strowman that is going to take place not even a week from now!

Strowman then continues on to state that McMahon can “run his mouth all he wants…” Strowman then adds, “but when he steps into that cage with me, the running STOPS.” Strowman then adds that he doesn’t just plan to “whoop Shane McMahon’s ass for himself,” finishing by stating that he’s going to “whoop Shane’s ass for EVERY person who’s been told they won’t be anything in this life.”

At this point we see Braun Strowman is clearly getting riled up as he states that, “Shane McMahon will be leaving WrestleMania in a body bag after he gets these hands…

Shane McMahon Interrupts Braun Strowman’s Rant

Apparently not too pleased with the suggested “murder” that is in his near future, Shane McMahon interrupts Braun Strowman’s monologue as he makes his way out to the stage. To start, McMahon immediately begins to taunt Strowman for “getting so upset”. McMahon continues on and states he’s not just “any man”… he’s a McMAhoN! (I must admit, that was kind of clever on Shane-O-Mac’s part… +10 points Team Shane!)

Shane then adds that as a McMahon, he will “outwit” Strowman at WrestleMania and the next morning after their match, Strowman will be forced to admit to himself that he IS in fact as stupid as McMahon informed him that he was.

Ladies and Gentleman… Elias!

At this point the entrance theme sounds for Elias who is accompanied by Jaxson Ryker as they prepare to get ready for the two on one Handicap Match that is set to take place when we return from the commercial break!
