WWE MONDAY NIGHT RAW RESULTS (04/19/2021)

Pre-Show Opening

To officially kick-off the Monday, April 19, 2021 edition of WWE Monday Night RAW, the clock chimes 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time as the “WWE. Then… Now… ALWAYS.” (which replaces the “Then. Now. FOREVER” that aired regularly prior to WWE Wrestlemania 37 where fans once again were able to attend the LIVE taping after over a year of mainly closed set tapings.

Inside The ThunderDome II

We then head into the WWE ThunderDome II in Tampa, Florida at the Yuengling Center Arena for tonight’s LIVE taping of WWE Monday Night RAW as the we head to the announcer’s table where the newest WWE broadcast reporter Adnan Virk welcomes us to the latest edition of WWE Monday Night RAW in the ThunderDome at the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida. Also joining Virk at ringside are two veteran commentators for WWE, Byron Saxton and normally seen on WWE SmackDown, Corey Graves! The show quickly gets underway with tonight’s action-packed edition of RAW!

In-Ring – Drew McIntyre

After our official welcome to tonight’s edition of WWE Monday Night RAW, we immediately head to the ring inside the ThunderDome at Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida as the familiar sound of the Scottish Warrior’s entrance theme sounds over the speakers and the crowd pops for WWE Superstar, Drew McIntyre!

As McIntyre makes his way to the stage, the commentary team remind us of how McIntyre earned a WrestleMania Backlash title shot from WWE Champion Bobby Lashley as a simultaneous video recap of highlights plays concurrently. McIntyre hits the top of the stage and the crazy pyro goes off surrounding the former WWE champion. McIntyre then proceeds to make his way down the ramp and into the ring as we next see the attack to McIntyre that took place by former RETRIBUTION members T-BAR and Mace, who were apparently hired by MVP.

With McIntyre inside the ring, he is handed a microphone and begins to speak as he discusses “opportunities” in the WWE as well as how Braun Strowman and Randy Orton wanted WWE Title shots last week, which led to Adam Pearce making the Triple Threat Match that then followed. McIntyre continues on about how he himself earned his next title shot by beating two of the top Superstars on RAW. After that, McIntyre points out how he now stands in the center of the ThunderDome at Yuengling Center Arena in Tampa, FL as the WWE’s #1 Contender for the WW Championship… the crowd pops.

At this point, McIntyre states that he would like to have a word with the WWE Universe about both former-RETRIBUTION members, Mace and T-BAR. McIntyre continues on to state that the two decided to “make their name” on Drew McIntyre last week. McIntyre then notes in a very serious tone that he knows MVP was the mastermind of this. McIntyre then taunts them and jokes that he will get a little “retribution” when he gets his hands on them. Drew says he feels like a fight.

MVP Interrupts Drew McIntyre In-Ring

Suddenly, right in the middle of Drew McIntyre’s in-ring rant, the entrance theme for MVP sounds in the ThunderDome arena as The Hurt Business member, MVP, makes his way out to the stage of the Yuengling Center Arena in Tampa, Florida to interrupt the former WWE champion in-ring. McIntyre watches from inside the ring as he states that MVP is “just the man” that McIntyre wanted to see! To start off, MVP automatically cuts to the chase and states that he was here to “address these ridiculous allegations”. The crowd “boo’s” as MVP continues on.

MVP then adds how the current WWE Champion, Bobby Lashley put him to sleep at WrestleMania 37 when he wasn’t expecting it, then he wasn’t expecting T-BAR and Mace last week. MVP says maybe Drew should start expecting the unexpected. MVP congratulates Drew on last week’s win because Lashley believes he will be a worthy adversary when he beats him at Backlash, again, and puts him to sleep with The Hurt Lock, again. This leads McIntyre to question MVP on the fact that he’s really standing here, acting as if he had nothing to do with last week’s attack. At that point, MVP responds to McIntyre by stating that he works for Bobby Lashley.

MVP continues on to share that Lashley recently “down-sized” The Hurt Business. Why would they hire T-BAR and Mace to attack Drew when Lashley already proved he can beat Drew by himself? This leads to a response from McIntyre pointing out the fact that the current WWE champion had asked the ENTIRE WWE locker room to take out McIntyre for the Hurt Business member before WrestleMania 37. At that point, MVP declares that Mace and T-BAR have zero affiliation with The Hurt Business. Zero. MVP then questions whether it’s possible that McIntyre somehow made some new enemies recently in the WWE locker room?

Ringside – Suddenly T-BAR and Mace Attack Drew McIntyre

We see McIntyre slowly make his way out of the ring as he notes that he’s curious about things such as… coincidences. MVP looks around but as McIntyre makes his way closer to MVP, suddenly out of nowhere both former-RETRIBUTION members T-BAR and Mace attack at ringside. After the initial attack, T-BAR and Mace proceed to bring McIntyre back into the ring. The crowd “boo’s”.

As they drag McIntyre into the ring, they immediately set up for and successfully deliver High Justice in the center of the ring. The Hurt Business spokesman, MVP, just continues to watch from his position at the bottom of the ramp at this point. When they’re done, both T-BAR and Mace then exit the ring and walk directly towards and then past MVP without saying a single word or acknowledging him. We see MVP smirks and watches as McIntyre struggles to gather himself and looks for a quick recovery inside the ring.

Backstage – T-BAR and Mace

Immediately following their in-ring attack on the former WWE-champion Drew McIntyre, we see T-BAR and Mace backstage as they are exiting the ringside area. They are stopped by Kevin Patrick in the back before they can make their way to their locker room. They are then asked about their upcoming match later tonight with Drew McIntyre to which they proceed to respond that they are quite confident about finishing off Drew McIntyre later on.

Recap Of Opening Events

At this point we are sent into a replay video that highlights the opening of tonight’s RAW in-ring events. We get one lat quick glance at the former WWE-champion, Drew McIntyre who is still recovering inside the ring as we head to the first official commercial break of the evening!

As we return from the first commercial break of tonight’s WWE Monday Night RAW, we once again see former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre as he is stomping up and down the halls of the Yeungling Center Arena in Orlando, Florida as he is clearly looking for someone and/or is on a mission. Suddenly McIntyre sees the man he was looking for, WWE Official, Adam Pearce. McIntyre immediately goes into a rant to Peace stating that he wants a shot at former-RETRIBUTION members Mace and T-Bar. Pearce is stern in stating that he cannot give McIntyre the math unless McIntyre agrees to getting a tag-team partner for the match-up. McIntyre immediately counters, stating that he doesn’t need a tag-team partner, as he can handle both of them on his own. Peace refuses to let up, and McIntyre ends the conversation by informing Pearce he will “regret it” if he doesn’t give him the match.

As Ivar makes his way into the ring, he immediately delivers a Sidewalk Slam, hen turns to run at Benjamin who is smart enough to hop off the apron to the floor to safety. Unfortunately for Benjamin, this doesn’t halt Ivar in the least as he proceeds to leap through the air for a Crossbody that Alexander is able to successfully evade as he lands. a is jumps for a crossbody but Cedric avoids it. Benjamin tags in and attacks Ivar from behind and beats him into the corner. Shelton and Cedric make quick tags and keep Ivar isolated in their corner. Ivar eventually starts firing back and hits a seated senton to Shelton, then crawls towards Erik but Benjamin grabs an ankle lock.

Ivar rolls Shelton off, then gets the tag and Erik comes in with a flurry of strikes. Erik gets caught with a float-over slam by Shelton, then Cedric tags in for a running forearm in the corner and a rope-assisted tornado DDT. Ivar breaks the pin attempt, then he and Benjmin brawl out of the ring. Ivar hits a running crossbody to Shelton, squashing him against the barricade. Inside the ring, Erik flips Cedric over and drills him with a knee, then tags Ivar so they can hit the Viking Experience for the win.
