To officially kick-off the Monday, April 26th, 2021 edition of WWE Monday Night RAW, the clock chimes 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time as the “WWE. Then… Now… ALWAYS.” (which replaces the “Then. Now. FOREVER” that aired regularly prior to WWE Wrestlemania 37) where fans once again were able to attend the LIVE taping after over a year of mainly closed set tapings.
Video Package – “Last Week’s RAW” Recap
As we officially head into tonight’s WWE Monday Night RAW for Monday, April 26, 2021, we head into a recap video package highlighting the events over the last few weeks on RAW with Mace and T-Bar (formerly of RETRIBUTION), and their feud with Drew McIntyre as well as MVP of The Hurt Business. We see where Mace and T-Bar have attacked Drew McIntyre, multiple times, once where they both were unmasked. McIntyre then blames MVP of The Hurt Business, saying it’s that or a “huge coincidence” to which MVP denies his involvement or that of The Hurt Business at all.
Inside The ThunderDome II
The regular entrance music for WWE Monday Night RAW plays as we go live to the critically acclaimed ThunderDome and out come Mace and T-Bar wearing different gear and face paint. We see a in-video promo of them, in which they say they have no masks and no allegiances, they’re free to cause extinction. We then head into the WWE ThunderDome II in Tampa, Florida at the Yuengling Center Arena on the campus of the University of South Florida for tonight’s LIVE taping of WWE Monday Night RAW as the we head to the announcer’s table where the newest WWE broadcast reporter Adnan Virk welcomes us to the latest edition of WWE Monday Night RAW in the ThunderDome at the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida. Also joining Virk at ringside are two veteran commentators for WWE, Byron Saxton and normally seen on WWE SmackDown, Corey Graves! The show quickly gets underway with tonight’s action-packed edition of RAW!
We are informed that we are kicking off tonight’s RAW with a tag-team match with T-Bar and Mace against Drew McIntyre and Braun Strowman. Graves notes that this is a massive match that will hopefully help solidify Mace and T-Bar’s place here on WWE Monday Night RAW! We then head into a video promo from Mace and T-Bar that was recorded before tonight’s opening of RAW!
Video Promo – T-Bar and Mace
T-BAR begins by stating, “Tonight, we’re going to show Drew McIntyre, Braun Strowman, and the ENTIRE WORLD exactly what we were always meant to be!” Mace then adds, “No mask, no allegiance, no business.” T-BAR then finishes by stating, “Only extinction!”
Tag-Team Match2-on-1 Handicap Match Drew McIntyre &Braun Strowman vs. T-Bar & Mace
Out first for tonight’s opening tag-team match, are the opponents, T-BAR and Mace following their video promo that was recorded before tonight’s edition of WWE Monday Night RAW started. Graves on commentary notes that T-Bar and Mace seem more liberated without their masks as they make their way down the ramp and into the ring. We then head backstage where we see former-WWE Champion Drew McIntyre with Braun Strowman.
Backstage – Drew McIntyre and Braun Strowman
“What? No thank you?” Strowman states as he walks up to McIntyre. McIntyre asks, “For what?” Strowman then responds, “For coming out there and saving you last week!” “I remember asking for a Handicap Match last week, not for you to stick your nose in my business…” McIntyre responds. A slightly annoyed Strowman then counters, “It’s lucky I DID, Drew, because I saved your career! They were beating you within an inch of your LIFE out there!” Strowman continues on to state that if Drew led with his brain instead of his emotions the way Strowman does, he’d be better off, adding that McIntyre should LISTEN once in a while and follow Strowman’s lead as he calls him “kid”.
McIntyre then counters Strowman’s statement by declaring, “Kid? Sometimes you speak before you think, don’t you? Let me lay this out in a way even you can understand… 20 years of experience, dozens of Championships across the world, two-time WWE Champion, current #1 contender, maybe just MAYBE you’ll listen to MY lead… KID!” Strowman says, “Maybe you forgot who I am, I am the MONSTER AMONG MEN. I’ve destroyed more people than you could even imagine.” Strowman then adds that he’s gonna do McIntyre a favor and do something even McIntyre couldn’t do last week, he’s going to go out and beat Mace and T-BAR by himself.
Strowman then makes his way out to the stage and heads down the ramp towards the ring where Mace and T-BAR are standing and waiting to kick off tonight’s first match up of the evening. As the match is being announced as a “Tag-Team Match”, Strowman stops and corrects it, stating that it’s a 2-On-1 Handicap Match! The bell rings and the match is underway! To start the action, we see Strowman power T-BAR into the corner, beating him down, as he said he would. T-BAR immediately begins to fight back but Strowman continues to beat him around the ring. Winner By Disqualification: Braun Strowman
After the Match
Mace and T-BAR seem like they don’t care whether they win or lose the match as long as they successfully pummel whoever they are in the ring with, as they continue to attack Strowman even after the referee called for the DQ!
Drew McIntyre For The Save!
Suddenly, Drew McIntyre’s music sounds in the arena as McIntyre makes his way down the ramp and quickly meets T-BAR at ringside and floors him before entering the ring where he immediately unloads on Mace. Strowman joins in at this point just as T-BAR makes his way back in. McIntyre clotheslines Mace to the floor. Meanwhile, Strowman knocks T-BAR to the floor as well. McIntyre and Strowman both stand side by side inside the ring, looking out at Mace and T-BAR. McIntyre looks to Strowman and sarcastically says, “Thank you, huh?” as we head to commercial break!
Braun Strowman & Drew McIntyre vs. T-BAR and Mace
As we return from the commercial break, the originally scheduled TAG-TEAM Match is now officially on! To start the action inside the ring, Drew McIntyre is in first, allowing Strowman time to regain his strength after being attacked by both T-BAR and Mace. McIntyre gets a few good strikes in early on until suddenly T-BAR successfully blocks a Future Shock DDT. T-BAR quickly counters with an Elbow to the head of McIntyre inside the ring. McIntyre is angered by this and immediately delivers multiple heavy blows and finishes with a Slap across the face! T-BAR doesn’t take too kindly to this and responds with a Strike of his own. McIntyre then follows up by taking T-BAR down to the canvas with a Glasgow Kiss for an immediate cover.
T-BAR somehow manages to kick out at the two count to continue the match-up. At this point, T-BAR makes his way over to his corner where he makes the tag to his partner, Mace, but T-BAR doesn’t exit the ring just yet as they get some double team action in on McIntyre in the corner. They begin an unplugged version of their “HEY HEY HO HO” song. Miz, Morrison and Ryker are rapping, and they’re all singing the chorus.
Damian Priest Interrupts
Suddenly, the lights go out and the entrance theme for Damian Priest sounds and we see Priest at the top of the stage as he begins his fiery entrance to the ring solo. Priest enters the ring and immediately he takes the mic and ends up interrupting The New Day’s Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods.
They come out as Priest says they have a surprise. Woods is carrying a large guitar case down to the ring with them. The surprise is… tomatoes. The guitar case is full of tomatoes. Priest and The New Day start unloading on Elias, Ryker, Miz and Morrison with tomatoes, getting the best of them as we go to commercial.
Elias, Jaxson Ryker and The Miz vs. Damian Priest and The New Day
As we return from the commercial break, we get a video recap showing us what happened with the tomatoes in the guitar case. The match is then ready to get underway as the referee signals for the bell. He finally gets the tag and makes his way into the ring which immediately sends Miz into his corner as he tries to evade Priest, clearly Miz wants no part of Priest. As Miz tags out, Ryker tags in and immediately begins to talk trash to Priest. The action begins and the two immediately lock up and go at it. Priest ends up sweeping the leg, then again after catching a kick. Ryker tags in Elias but Priest drops him. Miz runs in but Priest gets the best of him. Kofi mounts offense but Elias rams him back into their corner. Miz tags back in and stomps away on Kofi. Elias with more cheap shots while Kofi is down as fans boo Miz and his partners. Kingston ducks a Roundhouse from Miz and is able to successfully hit an SOS for a pop from the crowd!
At this point, Kingston and Miz are both down now as their partners both reach for the tag. Finally they both make their way to their corners and Priest and Elias tag in respectively. To start the action, Priest hits a jumping back elbow. Priest decks Ryker as he runs in. Priest leaps into the corner with a stage dive on Elias, then Ryker but Ryker catches him. At ringside the commentary team discusses the “indefinite suspension” of Flair and how she was fined $100,000 for attacking referee Eddie Orengo last week.
It is pointed out that Eddie Orengo is also in the ring with Deville, and now Flair. At this point, Deville introduces him and says he was the referee for the match that unfortunately ended in a bad way last week. We get a video package of replays and fans boo. Deville talks about Flair being suspended indefinitely and the fine. She says Adam Pearce’s decision was a bit rushed, and she doesn’t think Flair got a chance to give her side of the story. Deville tells Flair to give it now.
Charlotte Flair starts off as she thanks Sonya for the introduction and explanation. Flair continues on as she admits the error of her ways. She apologizes to WWE management and the WWE Universe, but most importantly Orengo, for her childish ways. Deville then announces that Charlotte Flair has already paid her fine, and she’s happy to announce that the suspension has been lifted. Fans boo louder. Deville announces that Flair will also return to action tonight, and Orengo will be the referee of the match. Flair interrupts and points to how Eddie just admitted that last week was his mistake. As we return from the commercial break, we immediately are sent into a video clip that shows Sheamus inside the ring celebrating his WWE United States Championship reign where he stated, “Each and every week I will issue an open challenge for my championship to give everyone a chance to put their hands on real gold!”
Humberto Carrillo seemed to be answering the open challenge when suddenly Sheamus attacked Carrillo before a referee could come out or a bell could sound!
In-Ring (again) United States Champion Sheamus
Back in the ring, Sheamus says he really enjoyed watching the highlights from last week’s RAW. Sheamus responds to why he didn’t let the bell ring last week. According to Sheamus, Carrillo didn’t deserve to be in an official match with the United States Champion, Sheamus.
Sheamus then states he’s decided to deliver another open challenge, and if anyone wants to “have a swing at ol’ Sheamy” they can come on out, but he makes it clear his title will NOT be on the line!
Humberto Carrillo Joins Sheamus In-Ring
Suddenly the entrance theme for Humberto Carrillo sounds as Carrillo makes his way out to the stage, then stomps down the ramp and enters the ring where he stands face to face with Sheamus who is still wearing his long leather coat and his leather derby hat, not prepared in ring gear as Carrillo is. Sheamus begins with a smirk, “Are you serious kid? Are you out of your bleedin’ minds after what happened in here last week? Are you loco in the cabasa?”
Carrillo shakes his head “no” as he stands, seemingly ready, for anything Sheamus delivers. Sheamus continues to ask Carrillo about his mental capacity when suddenly he takes his leather derby hat off and throws it in the face of Carrillo to distract him and immediately ground and pounds Carrillo on the canvas inside the ring! Sheamus talks some trash on the mic but Carrillo attacks and ends up sending him to the floor, then dropkicking him off the apron, twice. Next we head backstage where we see Kevin Patrick who catches up with MVP and the current WWE Champion Bobby Lashley and Patrick stops them both. MVP goes on and says he and Lashley have some grievances to go public with tonight. He taunts Patrick some more before they walk off together as we head to commercial break.
Backstage – RAW Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley
As we return from the commercial break, we see the RAW Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley backstage with interviewer, Sarah Schreiber. Schreiber asks about Charlotte Flair’s return. Rhea says Flair’s apologies never mean anything but she was glad to see her get fined $100,000. She’s glad Flair is back and hopes one day their paths cross, but shes focused on tonight’s six-woman match. While Flair is off playing with the referees, she will be busy remaining the RAW Women’s Champion. Ripley walks off.
In-Ring – WWE Champion Bobby Lashley & MVP
As we return to the ring inside the ThunderDome, out come the WWE Champion Bobby Lashley as well as The Hurt Business co-member MVP. The two make their way to the ring and begin as they show highlights of Lashley’s WrestleMania 37 win over Drew McIntyre.
Back in the ring, Lashley stands tall as the pyro goes off around him and MVP and we hear “Boo’s” from the fans. The announcers hype the title match at WrestleMania Backlash. Lashley recalls the big WrestleMania win over Drew and how he commanded respect after the match. The respect he received from the crowd after not having them for a year felt great. Lashley goes on and compares Drew to a piece of gum on the bottom of his shoe. He mentions how he will defeat Drew again at Backlash, but now it might be a Triple Threat?
MVP speaks up and wonders why WWE would treat their champion like this. Any decision must be ran by them first or it’s intentionally disrespectful. MVP says it’s disgusting, not fair and unacceptable that Lashley would be able to lose the WWE Title without getting beat at WrestleMania Backlash. Lashley says Drew and Braun both know he can take them in a one-on-one contest at any time. Lashley says he’s going to come out during tonight’s main event for a closer look on his investment. Lashley says after chasing the WWE Title for 16 years, he will leave Backlash with the title. MVP says Lashley has spoken and that’s it for their promo. The music hits and they leave together.

As the video recap comes to an end, we head backstage where we see Shayna, Nia, and Reginald together having a discussion. As we enter the conversation, Nia is ranting on about how Charlotte Flair was able to make her return and how she’s nothing but a spoiled brat that WWE continues to enable.
At this point, Shayna interrupts Nia and states that they need no more distractions, no Flair, Brooke or Rose, even Reginald (to this both Jax and Reginald scoff). Baszler then proceeds to point out how Reginald’s distraction led to Jax losing. Jax then counters, stating that it was Baszler’s fault. This leads Baszler to storm off by herself after telling them again – no more distractions!
As Baszler exits, a WWE Crew Member walks in to delivers a bouquette of flowers to Nia Jax. At this point, Strowman interrupts and informs MVP that if Bobby Lashley has a message for Strowman… then Bobby Lashley can bring his own message.
