WWE Monday Night RAW Results (12/21/20)
Welcome to the Fallout Edition of WWE Monday Night RAW following the WWE TLC 2020 pay-per-view that aired this past Sunday on the WWE Network! We kick things off with the WWE “Then, Now, Forever…” banner which airs first, sending us into the entrance theme song for WWE Monday Night RAW.
We enter the WWE ThunderDome at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, FL to open WWE Monday Night RAW!! Commentary notes this past Sunday’s WWE TLC 2020 pay-per-view as Tom Phillips gives the run down for tonight’s show including what they expect will happen following Randy Orton’s win over The Fiend in the Inferno Match at last night’s pay-per-view. Phillips is joined at ringside by Samoa Joe and Byron Saxton.
In-Ring – Charlotte Flair
The stage is set up with Christmas decorations. We go right to the ring and out comes new WWE Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair. This is Flair’s first RAW appearance at The ThunderDome, and her first RAW appearance since mid-June. She hits the ring as we get a video package showing how Flair returned at TLC as Lana’s replacement, teaming with RAW Women’s Champion Asuka to win the gold from Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler.
With the sound of her entrance theme, out comes Charlotte Flair (her first RAW appearance at The ThunderDome, and her first RAW appearance since mid-June.) Flair struts down the ramp in her dramatic robe and hits the ring as we get a video package showing how Flair returned at TLC as Lana’s replacement, teaming with RAW Women’s Champion Asuka to win the gold from Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler.
Flair begins her rant as she says she is here in the ThunderDome and what would the ThunderDome be without The Queen?? She brags on winning gold her first night back and says nothing has changed with The Queen in the last six months. She then goes on about her partner and friend, who some say is the heart of the division.
Asuka Joins Flair In Ring
Flair introduces Asuka and out she comes with both of her titles. Flair and Asuka stand together as Asuka takes the mic. She speaks in Japanese and touts being a double champion as the crowd cheers them on. Asuka says Jax and Baszler were not ready for Asuka, and were definitely not ready for her partner, The Queen. Flair laughs and then nods as Asuka bounces around.
Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler Interrupt
Flair asks what about the RAW Women’s Title and says, “Friend to friend…” but the music interrupts as Jax and Baszler come to the ring. Tom announces that they will face Dana Brooke and Mandy Rose later tonight. Jax and Baszler enter the ring and take the mic. Jax jokes that it took 6 months to heal Flair’s broken arm, but that didn’t clear up her robotic voice. Flair mocks Jax and says she kicked her ass last night.
Jax says Santa Claus isn’t the only one with a naughty or nice list but they don’t hand out coal, they hand out beatings… Season’s Beatings. Just ask Lana or Kairi Sane.
Mandy Rose & Dana Brooke Interrupt
The music interrupts and out comes Rose and Brooke. Rose and Brooke try to crack jokes on how Jax and Baszler look without the titles this week. They tell them to move over. Brooke and Rose are in the ring now. Flair asks Asuka if she wants to stay and watch this, and she does. Flair calls a referee to come to the ring. Flair’s music hits as she and Asuka head to ringside to watch. The other two teams have words as RAW goes to it’s first commercial break of the evening!
Mandy Rose and Dana Brooke vs. Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler
As we return from commercial break, all four competitors in this RAW Women’s Tag-Team Match-Up are already in the ring. The referee signals for the bell and this match is officially underway! Both Shayna Baszler and Mandy Rose are in first for their respective teams to get this match started. Shayna takes Mandy down to the mat with her grappling skills as she clearly has the advantage early on. Mandy still stays strong and holds her own with counters to each move put on by Shayna.
Finally we see that tags are made as Nia Jax heads in at Dana Brooke. Jax grabs Brooke and throws her around the ring, but Brooke gets a Satellite Headscissors counter on Jax and quickly gets the tag to her tag-team partner Mandy Rose once again! Rose re-enters the ring and heads in strong with a Knee that sends Jax all the way out to ringside! Dana clears Shayna, stereo Crossbody Dives to the floor and the babyface team flexes while the Asuka and Charlotte Flair watch from ringside.
Shayna and Nia back to their feet and they look to recover from the flurry by the babyfaces. We see Jax lift Mandy and throw her into the barricade as we head once again to commercial break.
As we return from the commercial break, Jax and Baszler are “tag-teaming” (see what I did there?) Mandy Rose as they take her down. Jax continues clubbing away, Mandy get back to her feet and gets a last ditch effort Slap across Jax’s face! Rose is then able to dodge the Leg Drop attempt by Jax! Rose then attempts to get multiple Kicks on Nia Jax who ends up back in her own corner.
Baszler makes the tag and clears the apron! Baszler attempts to follow up with a Lariat, Mandy ducks and hits Lariats of her own! This is followed up with a Straight Suplex, Finally, Shayna runs into a Back Elbow and then gets smashed into the turnbuckles!
Mandy builds momentum as she hits several Forearms, then gets off the ropes with a knee, on Baszler! Brooke with the blind tag, heads in and lands a Handspring Knee Drop. Dana then hits with an Enzuguri, followed by making her way up top to land a Senton Atomico for the cover! Nia Jax breaks up the pin attempt! Rose then heads in and hits with a Diving Knee on Jax.
Brooke lands a Handspring Elbow on the floor and then we turn the attention back inside the ring. Baszler cuts Brooke off with a Backbreaker! Dana is able to duck the Bicep Stomp, and heads into a Schoolboy into the turnbuckles, to no avail!
Shayna then manages to retaliate as she locks the Kirifuda Clutch on Brooke who is forced to tap!
Winner By Submission: Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler
After the Match
The “Sexy Muscle Friends” manage to take out both Baszler and Jax as they make it clear that they’re not just rolling over.
We head into a video clip that highlights the Hurt Business and their win over The New Day last night where they won the Tag-Team Titles during last night’s WWE TLC 2020 pay-per-view match-up.
The video highlights come to an end and we head backstage where we happen upon the members of The Hurt Business who are walking backstage when they run into some kid in a New Day shirt. They say they got themselves an early Christmas present and Hurt Business tear the shirt off before giving the kid an oversized Hurt Business t-shirt as we head back to commercial break.
VIP Lounge w/ MVP
As we return from the commercial break, we see The Hurt Business make their way down the ramp as their entrance theme music plays over the speakers in Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, FL. As they enter the ring, there are couches inside the ring where the victors celebrate once again over their achievement at last night’s pay-per-view event!
MVP has a mic in his hand as the booing dies down. He starts off as he welcomes us to the VIP Lounge. He then proceeds to introduce the other members of The Hurt Business, finally giving Shelton Benjamin everyone’s attention. Benjamin states that last night, they showed they’re better than any team in the locker room. Cedric Alexander says the titles have the prestige they deserve now. Forget about pancakes and unicorns, it’s all champagne and custom made suits now.
Next, Bobby Lashley grabs the mic and says they’re the most dominant force in WWE and you can get used to it. MVP says he’s invited a photographer to commemorate the occasion, and they pose for photos.
R-Truth Photo Bomb
We see R-Truth run in as he photobombs the professional photograph with his 24/7 Championship and the mob comes running after him. They leave the way they came.
Matt Riddle & Jeff Hardy Interrupt
MVP says they weren’t invited as we see the 24/7 chase do a Scooby-Doo out one side of the entry and in the other. Matt Riddle says the Hurt Business are great but they should be chilling out and relaxing with the homies instead of going to the club and spending all that money, maybe get a little toasted and listen to a Joe Rogan podcast or watch a Dave Chapelle comedy special.
There’s no reason to spread negativity because at the end of the day we’re all the same, self-aware carbon matter. MVP disagrees and says no one cares, which leads Jeff Hardy to say there are more important things in life than status and money, and a man’s character is the only criterion of wealth. They’re gonna fight with their faith tonight. With that, we head to commercial break!
As we return from commercial break, we head backstage where Angel Garza is being interviewed and says he’s giving all the women of the world “the gift of Garza,” (i’ll pass…)
Garza then macks on the Sarah Schrieber and ends by giving her a rose. (smooth…)
Angel Garza vs. Drew Gulak
We head to the ring where we get the entrances for both Garza and Gulak as they make their way to the ring for this one-on-one match-up. The referee signals for the bell, the bell rings and the match begins as Garza tears his pants off and throws them in Gulak’s face to set up a beatdown!
Drew begins to throw multiple punches to set up a Backbreaker. Angel attempts to counter as he traps Gulak in the corner of the ring where he proceeds to land hard punches. Garza then follows up with a Hard Knee as he goes for the cover. Gulak kicks out at the ONE! Cobra Twist applied, Gulak reverses into one of his own and Garza escapes with a mat slam! Whip across followed by a Sit-out Hip Toss to no avail. Finally, a Waist-lock, Drew out with back elbows, right hands back Angel into the corner. A Whip across, boot up on the charge, ending with a Superkick from Garza.
Garza goes for the cover and gets in the underhooks with his Wing Clipper finisher for the three count pin and win!
Winner: Angel Garza
We head backstage once again and we see AJ Styles and his Big Buddy Omos are being interviewed. Styles exclaims he is mad at the Miz for screwing him out of the WWE Championship, and he wants to know what he has to say for himself on MizTV, after the break.
As we return from the commercial break, we see both The Miz and John Morrison who are set up inside the ring, ready for tonight’s edition of MizTV.
Miz gives us the usual intro but seems kind of dead inside, apologizing for failing himself and failing his family before introducing AJ Style.
AJ Styles Enters
We see AJ Styles make his way down to the Miz TV “studio” (in-ring) with his buddy Omos by his side. Tom plugs tonight’s six-man Holiday Street Fight with AJ, Miz and Morrison vs. WWE Champion Drew McIntyre, Sheamus and Keith Lee.
There’s some tension as soon as they enter the ring but AJ holds his big buddy Omos back. Miz wants to hear AJ’s explanation. Miz goes on and says AJ would’ve done the same thing… AJ cuts him off and has already heard enough. He calls Miz the biggest idiot on Earth and goes on about how incompetent he is. AJ says Miz cashed in and because of him, they both lost. Miz yells back and gets fired up, saying that Money In the Bank contract was everything.
Miz goes on to say that 10 years ago he cashed in and main evented WrestleMania, and this was going to be the same thing this year. Miz adds how he’s fought for respect for 15 years. If he won the WWE Title again maybe, just maybe, AJ and everyone else would’ve respected him and he would’ve taken RAW to new heights. Miz says all he can do now is make it right. He apologizes from the bottom of his heart and says they were both robbed last night. He admits he blew it.
Miz continues on to say it’s the holidays, the time for giving, and he might can make this right by giving AJ an early holiday gift. He offers AJ the chance to star in the next edition of The Marine. We see a mock poster for The Marine 7. Omos is on it but AJ can barely be seen. Morrison points out how he’s not even on the poster. Everyone argues some more with AJ and Morrison getting heated with each other. Omos exits the ring as Miz gets in between Morrison and AJ. Miz points out how they’re right, Morrison cashed in Miz’s contract last night but technically Miz is the only one who can cash it in.
Miz starts ranting about how he wants a WWE official to reinstate his MITB title shot because Morrison is the one who cashed it in.
Drew McIntyre Interrupts
The music interrupts and out comes McIntyre. McIntyre points out how he left AJ a present on his face last night, a scar. He goes on about how he, Sheamus and Lee came up with a sequel to last week’s “Nightmare Before TLC” story from Miz, Morrison and AJ. Drew starts reading. Sheamus takes over and appears at ringside. Lee picks up with the reading and he’s also at ringside. The babyfaces have surrounded the ring now. They enter as Miz, Morrison and AJ get ready to fight.
A big brawl breaks out now as fans pop. Drew launches Morrison over his head and he flies to the floor. AJ dropkicks Lee into Sheamus as he prepared for a Brogue Kick to Miz. Sheamus and Lee argue now but Drew gets in between them. AJ retreats to the floor with Omos. Drew calms Sheamus down as they stand with Lee in the middle of the ring. AJ, Miz and Morrison head up the ramp.
Quick Ringside Announcement
The announcers hype Ricochet vs. T-BAR for tonight. We get a video package on the recent feud between Ricochet and RETRIBUTION.
T-Bar vs. Ricochet
We see both T-Bar and Ricochet’s entrances as their music sounds in the arena and they make their way to the ring. The referee signals for the bell and this match up is officially underway! To start off, Ricochet using his speed to keep T-Bar off balance but the big man catches him on a Springboard and Curls him, driving repeated Knees into his ribs before tossing him aside like a sack of garbage!
Next we see pressing the attack, as a Huge Lariat turns Ricochet inside out and T-Bar follows up with a Rear Chinlock in the middle of the ring. Ricochet attempts to counter with a low bridge, followed up with a Dropkick that knocks SLAPJACK into the announce table! The match spills out to ringside at this point.
We see an Apron Moonsault takes Mace out but T-Bar comes around with a big boot to lay him out! Back inside, Argentine Back-breaker rack and T-Bar gets the three count pin and win with an inverted GTS.
After the Match
The music hits as we go to replays. RETRIBUTION hits the ring now. T-BAR stands over Ricochet and takes the mic, telling him that they are his allies, not his enemies, and he will either join them or his existence will come to an end. T-BAR drops the mic and RETRIBUTION yells down at Ricochet as he looks up from his back.
We see video from earlier today of The New Day members Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston. Woods says they will win the RAW Tag Team Titles back one day as they always do. Kofi gives props to new RAW Tag Team Champions The Hurt Business and talks about losing pieces of his teeth in the WWE TLC match. He goes on about how The New Day will bounce back because this is what they do.
MVP & Bobby Lashley vs. Matt Riddle & Jeff Hardy
Both tag-teams make their way to the ring respectively as their entrance themes sound in the arena. The referee signals for the bell, Hardy and Lashley start things off as the bell rings and the match is officially underway! Immediately Hardy charges in at the bell where he starts punching away on Lashley to start things off, Lashley shoves him off but he gets to the corner for the tag.
Riddle takes the tag and enters the ring with Lashley. Riddle with a Sleeper Hold attempt, Bob slings him off and drops him with a lariat! Smashing him into the corner, tag to MVP, lighting Riddle up with multiple punches as he enters the ring. Lashley back in and he hits a Neckbreaker. Keeping Riddle isolated, he soon kicks Bob away and tags Hardy back in.
Manhattan Drop to the double leg drop to the basement dropkick to the big splash, only one! Riddle tags in, double whip into Broetry in Motion and Lashley crashes to the floor! MVP runs in, Manhattan Drop, standing moonsault, Montel rolls to the floor and Riddle penalty kicks him off the apron to send us to yet another commercial break with MVP still at ringside.
As we return from the commercial break, we see Lashley as he knocks Hardy off the top turnbuckle and Hardy falls to the floor, bouncing him off the steel steps on the way! Referee Chad Patton checks on Jeff and eventually Hardy rolls back in, Tag denied, Bob with a Shoulder Armbreaker and a tag to Porter and the heat segment rolls on. Ballin’ elbow gets a nearfall, Hardy gets Whisper in the Wind and the path is clear!
Tag made, Riddle in hot, lighting MVP up with palm strikes, a Pele kick, kip-up, charging forearms aplenty! Cedric Alexander runs interference but Matt hits an exploder suplex and follows it with a senton! Fisherman buster… LASHLEY BREAKS IT UP! Bob tags in, reverse STO connects, delayed vertical attempt and Matt escapes with a knee. Blind tag, knee strike, Hardy in, step-up tope con giro off of Jeff’s back!
The Charismatic Enigma heads up top, fends off some interference… NO WATER IN THE POOL FOR THE SWANTON BOMB! Lashley charges into a knee, blocks the Twist of Fate and the Hurt Lock is in!Lashley makes Hardy tap with the Hurt Lock.
Winner: MVP and Bobby Lashley
After the Match
The Hurt Business regroups and stands tall as the music hits. We go to replays. Hardy and Riddle look on from the ring as The Hurt Business heads to the back.
Once again, we head backstage where we see AJ Styles, The Miz and John Morrison arguing as Omos simply looks on. AJ storms off in a huff as we go to commercial break.
In-Ring – Ladies and Gentleman… Elias
As we return from commercial break, we head back to the ring where we see Elias sitting on a stool with his guitar and a microphone, prepared to sing us a song, accompanied by Jaxson Ryker once again.
Elias talks about what a whirlwind his 2020 has been and thanks his fans for putting his new record on their best-of lists.
Gran Metalik and Lince Dorado Interrupt
Both Gran Metalik and Lince Dorado make their way down to the ring where Elias and Jaxson Ryker are inside the ring, leading to an impromptu match-up…
Gran Metalik vs. Jaxson Ryker
The bell rings signaling the start of the match. Elias sits on the turnbuckle and plays guitar while Ryker squashes Metalik, hitting a Powerbomb for the cover and the three count pin and win while Elias doesn’t skip a beat!
Winner: Jaxson Ryker
Video Clip – TLC 2020 Firefly Inferno Match
Next we head into a video clip from last night’s TLC 2020 Firefly Inferno Match with Randy Orton vs. The Fiend. We get a recap and highlights from the match.
Backstage – Randy Orton
We head backstage as the video clip from the Inferno Match at TLC 2020 ends, we see the A-Pex Predator walking towards the stage as we head to commercial break!
In-Ring – Randy Orton
As we return from the commercial break, we hear, “I hear voices in my head….” sound over the speakers in the St Petersburg, FL arena as we see The Legend Killer make his way to the stage.
We see Orton head down the ramp and enter the ring as he poses in the corner (most fans begin to boo him). Orton does his signature pose as more pyro goes off from above. Orton then takes the mic and goes on about being sick and twisted and deranged, and demented, and at TLC he proved he is each and every one of those things when he burned “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt alive. Other normal people may have an issue when they set a man on fire but The Fiend is no man and Orton is not normal.
Orton continues on to state matter-of-factly that he enjoyed every second as he stood by and watched The Fiend burn. The boos get louder. Orton kneels down in the middle of the ring and says this is exactly where it happened. He can see it and smell it if he closes his eyes. Orton says the stench of burning flesh lingers. Orton says he didn’t sleep last night because the voices in his head he’s grown accustomed to, which also enabled him to rest peacefully at night, those voices were gone.
They don’t exist in his head after last night and the only ting he hears in his head right now is The Fiend gasping for his last breath as the fire grew hotter, as the flames grew higher. Orton declares that The Fiend is gone and The Fiend is no more, and Orton is the evil son of a b—h that took him out. The boos get louder. The lights suddenly start going out in the arena. Orton rolls out of the ring as the arena goes black.
Alexa Bliss Interrupts
A reddish purple light comes on in the ring and there’s some fog. Alexa Bliss is there, swinging on a swing set. There are some other toys there. Bliss asks Orton if he was expecting someone else. She says “He” built this for her, and we’ll just call it Alexa’s Playground. Bliss tells Orton to come in the ring. She says he’s probably worrying where “He” is now. “He” could be at a tanning salon because “He” was looking kind of pale, or “He” could be at the beach but she hopes “He” doesn’t get sunburned. “He” could be at his favorite restaurant eating his favorite food… BBQ. She laughs some more.
Bliss says Orton is right – it was right here in the ring, where you can smell his burning flesh. She says it’s almost like The Fiend was absorbed into the mat. She goes on and says “He” is home, but if “He” ever leaves home, “He” might come to Alexa’s Playground and if so, it’ll be unlike anything we’ve ever seen before. The lights go down again and the arena is black as Bliss stares at Orton. The lights come back up and the announcers are playing up the seriousness of the situation. Bliss and Orton are gone.
Charlotte Flair & Asuka vs. Peyton Royce & Lacey Evans
Charlotte Flair makes her entrance to the ring as we head to commercial break.

Royce rolls through into a Single-Leg Crab, Lacey and Asuka fight around the apron before the Empress lays Peyton out with an Enzuguri! Roundhouse to Evans on the floor, Royce with a victory roll pin for two and Flair drops her!
Spinning Toehold into the figure four, she bridges back. Charlotte Flair gets the submission as she locks in the Figure Eight on Peyton Royce, causing her to tap.
Winners: Charlotte Flair & Asuka
After the Match
Following the match, we head backstage once again where Jax and Baszler are shown completely annoyed by the champs. Flair and Asuka stand tall together.
We see Sheamus, Drew McIntyre and Keith Lee backstage warming up for the main event as we head back to commercial.
As we return from the commercial break and we get a video on how Titus O’Neil recently teamed up with other locals to give a new car to a local middle school employee. Byron says Titus and his friends have given 5 new cars to families in need. The announcers give him props for how he helps the community.
Video Recap “Earlier Tonight”
We head into a video clip showing what happened earlier tonight on MizTV.

Drew McIntyre, Sheamus and Keith Lee vs. AJ Styles, The Miz and John Morrison
Sheamus and Morrison to start, John going low and trying to get a leg before settling for clubbing blows to the back. The Celtic Warrior swats him down and pops him in the mouth, but Morrison keeps coming and picks the leg to drag him over for the tag to Miz. A-Lister in with stomps and left hands, choking him in the ropes, John with a cheap shot from the floor and they tag Styles in.
The Celtic Warrior turns the tide and beats AJ down into the corner before dropping him with a lariat! Styles drags him over and tags Morrison in. Sheamus gets him over and tags McIntyre in and they wishbone his legs together! Stomp to the hand, Johnny Raw floats over a scoop lift and goes after Drew’s injured knee! McIntyre gets away and tags Lee in, a huge double suplex throws Morrison across the ring!
Keith grabs his hand to physically block the tag, wristlock, Sheamus tags in, double whip into elbows and they take the other two out when they come in as well, a well-oiled machine! They’re all shoulder slaps and “great jobs!” until Lee hits Grizzly Magnum and Drew has to play peacemaker as we go to break.
Back from commercial, Sheamus has a kneeling armbar in on Styles! The match breaks down a little and Miz and Morrison end up subject to stereo Beats of the Bodhran from the Celtic Connection! Lee picks both guys up off the apron and rams them into it! Keith puts them into presents at ringside after and then throws AJ into his teammates! Shamus with a reverse chinlock, grinding Styles down, choking him with a knee.
The Celtic Warrior has Morrison now, Finlay Roll connects and he goes up top, Styles running interference and Johnny Raw is able to knock Sheamus off the top and through a table full of holiday business at ringside!
