To officially kick-off the Monday, May 10, 2021 edition of WWE Monday Night RAW – WrestleMania Backlash 2021 “Go-Home” Edition, the clock chimes 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time as the “WWE. Then… Now… ALWAYS.” (which replaces the “Then. Now. FOREVER” that aired regularly prior to WWE Wrestlemania 37) where fans once again were able to attend the LIVE taping after over a year of mainly closed set tapings.

Video Package Recap – (Last Few Weeks On RAW)

To start tonight’s red brand show, which is the “Go-Home” Edition heading into this weekend’s WWE WrestleMania Backlash 2021 pay-per-view event, we immediately head into a video package highlighting the events of the last few weeks on WWE Monday Night RAW including last week’s edition of the red brand’s show where

Announcer’s Table

As we enter the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida, we head to the announcer’s table set up at ringside as Adnan Virk welcomes us to the Monday, May 10, 2021 edition of WWE Monday Night RAW – WrestleMania Backlash “Go-Home” Edition. Virk is joined at ringside by fellow commentary teammates Corey Graves and Byron Saxton. They hype tonight’s show before we head to the ring to kick off the first official match-up of the evening.

Asuka, Mandy Rose & Dana Brooke vs. Charlotte Flair, Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler

As we enter the ring in the ThunderDome III at the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida, we get the ring entrance for The Queen, Charlotte Flair first as her entrance theme sounds over the speakers in the arena and Flair makes her way to the stage with the confident strut she is known for. Flair does a twirl at the top of the ramp before making her way down the ramp and into the ring where she finishes up her entrance before awaiting her tag-teammates as well as her opponents for this 6-Woman Tag-Team Match-Up to kick off the Monday, May 10, 2021 edition of RAW!

Out next are the current reigning RAW Women’s Tag-Team Champions, Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax. The two make their way out to the stage accompanied by Nia Jax’s boy-toy, Reginald. The three make their way down the ramp like a mixed up odd Three’s Company Reboot as they enter the ring with The Queen and await their opponents for the match-up. For the opposing team, out first is the tag-team of Mandy Rose and Dana Brooke as their entrance theme sounds in the arena. The two then wait at the top of the ramp as they await their third partner for tonight’s first match-up.

Finally out comes Asuka as her entrance theme sounds over the speakers in the ThunderDome III at Yuengling Center in Tampa, FL. Asuka joins Rose and Brooke and the three head down the ramp towards the ring where Flair, Baszler, and Jax are waiting with Reginald. With everyone now in the ring (phew!) the referee moves to the center of the ring and signals for the bell. The bell rings and the first match-up of the evening is officially under way! To start off the action, Mandy Rose is in first for her team and Nia Jax enters the ring for her team as the two attempt to intimidate one another with taunts and bow-ups to start.

Nia Jax eventually takes a leap and goes at Mandy Rose as she successfully grasps Rose, powering her into the corner of the ring where Rose slams into the turnbuckle. Jax then looks to follow up, but unfortunately she misses a Splash on Rose in the corner! This gives Rose a quick opportunity to swing in and attempt to drop Flair off the apron to ringside, but Rose misses her mark! Ouch! This allows Nia Jax to take advantage of the flub and Jax quickly levels Rose in the corner, successfully this time.

At this point, Nia Jax continues to work Mandy Rose over until finally Jax makes the tag to her RAW Women’s Tag-Team Champion partner, Shayna Baszler. As Baszler enters the ring, she keeps the momentum up as she continues to do work on Rose, focusing on the arm of Rose as the match continues on. Next, Baszler bends Rose’s arm back and keeps her trapped on the canvas inside the ring. Rose struggles to attempt to break free, as she ends up taking Baszler to her corner as she makes the tag to Asuka!

Asuka makes her way into the ring as Rose steps out onto the apron in their corner. Asuka starts off strong with some powerful Kicks to Baszler. Next Asuka looks to hit a German Suplex on Baszler who is able to evade as Asuka is unsuccessful and the match continues on. This leads to Baszler maneuvering herself into position to lock in a a submission on Asuka, but the veteran Asuka is able to block Baszler’s efforts as she lands a Dropkick to Baszler for the counter! At this point, Rose and Brooke come in with dropkicks to their opponents on the apron.

Always the show off, Reginald does a Back Flip off the apron as Jax and Baszler rush back in. The two teams face off in the middle of the ring now with all 6 Superstars arguing in an all out female cat fight.

Alexa Bliss Interrupts, Firefly Funhouse Style

Suddenly, the familiar sound of the Firefly Fun House music sounds over the speakers to interrupt the match and grabs the attention of all six female superstars currently in the match as they turn their attention to the top of the stage where we see Alexa Bliss just swinging away on her swing. Lilly is next to her on another swing. The 6 Superstars in the ring continue to remain distracted as they stare up at the top of the stage.

Finally, Alexa Bliss begins by stating, “We are so sorry for interrupting…” to which Lilly points out that Bliss is… Lilly is not. Bliss continues on to state that she and Lilly just wanted to come out to the stage and keep their eye on…. someone. Bliss intentionally doesn’t say who or give any indication of who she is referring to as she begins to laugh and continue swinging. The women inside the ring stand confused as they continue to stare up at Alexa and Lilly as we head to the first commercial break of the evening!

As we return from the first commercial break of the evening, we return to the ring where Charlotte Flair is now the legal woman in for her team as she continues to Stomp away at Mandy Rose who is attempting to block the heavy boots pounding down on her in the corner of the ring against the turnbuckles. The camera pans over to Alexa Bliss and Lilly, who we see are still watching from their swings at the top of the stage as the match continues. Next, Flair uses her knees to control and overpower Rose as she slams her to the canvas inside the ring, face-first.

At this point, Shayna Baszler reaches out for the tag, and as she makes her way into the ring, she kicks Rose while Flair still has her trapped for some quick double-team action before Flair exits the ring to stand out on the apron in their team’s corner. The match continues in the ring as Baszler takes Mandy Rose’s arm and proceeds to twist it up again before she follows up with a Slam to the canvas. Baszler quickly follows up with a cover to attempt to end the match. Somehow, Rose is able to kick out at the two to continue the match.

This seems to have pisses off Baszler’s teammate, Nia Jax who demands to be tagged in to become the legal opponent in the ring. Jax starts off by slamming Mandy into the canvas once again, Rose taking a hell of a beating throughout tonight’s match up, that’s for sure! Next, Jax takes Rose to the mat once again and looks to work her over on the canvas as the crowd begins to rally for Mandy Rose, who now is able to fight her way back to her feet. Before Rose can even attempt a move of her own, Jax looks for a Samoan Drop.

Luckily or her, Mandy Rose is able to slide her way out of the attempt as she heads to her corner and quickly makes the tag to her own tag-team partner, Dana Brooke. Brooke quickly makes her way into the ring to get some action going with the opposing team. At the same time, Jax makes the tag to her tag-team partner, Shayna Baszler who returns to the ring, but before she can get any action going, suddenly Brooke successfully clotheslines her to take her down. This causes Flair to be knocked off the apron as well in the commotion.

Finally, Dana Brooke is able to get some offense going as she hits a Bulldog on Baszler to take control momentarily. Brooke quickly follows up as she looks to get the cover for the finish in the match, but unfortunately, Baszler is able to kick out at the two to continue the match! Back to her feet now, Baszler immediately Slams Brooke into a Back Breaker over her knee. Baszler looks to have injured her leg in doing so! As she struggles to make her way over to make the tag to get out of the ring and check her injured leg, it gives out before she hits the apron.

At this point Asuka tags back in to the match and immediately knocks Jax off the apron and quickly follows up with a Shining Wizard to Baszler for the three count pin and win!

Winners: Asuka, Dana Brooke & Mandy Rose

After the Match

Immediately following the match, Asuka, Dana, and Mandy are smiling as they look like they are about to celebrate their victory. Before any of that can take place, an angry Charlotte Flair immediately runs in and levels Asuka from behind.

The Queen then stands tall in the center of the ring, proud of her “accomplishment” of a sneak attack as the referee kneels to check on Asuka who is laid out on the canvas now. We hear the music of Charlotte Flair playing over the speakers until suddenly the sound of laughter can be heard coming from Alexa Bliss and Lilly at the top of the stage. Flair jerks her head to turn and look up at the stage as her eyes connect with Bliss to end the segment.

Video Recap (Last Week’s RAW) RK-Bro Defeating Elias & Ryker

At this point we head into a video clip that highlight’s a match from Last Week’s WWE Monday Night RAW where the newly formed tag-team of “RK-Bro” (Randy Orton and Matt Riddle) successfully defeated the tag-team of Elias and Jaxson Ryker.

Backstage – The New Day

As the video clip comes to an end, we are now backstage with The New Day members Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods who are talking when suddenly Matt Riddle (being his “Matt Riddle-Self”) comes riding up on his little scooter. Riddle immediately thanks them for the registration forms because RK-Bro will be an OFFICIAL tag team in just a few short weeks, thanks to them for the help.

This leads to Kofi Kingston responding to Riddle that its a little known fact that every tag team must fill out a registration form, unlike RAW Tag Team Champions AJ Styles and Omos… who are frauds. Riddle and Kingston (w/ Woods) continue to discuss the tomatoes situation when suddenly Randy Orton makes his way into the group. This doesn’t quiet the Superstars one-bit as they continue on to inform The Viper that they think that it was hilarious when he was accidentally struck by the tomatoes last week.

Orton strongly disagrees with this and explains that in HIS opinion, “ending careers, killing Legends, kicking people in the head, and setting things on fire are funny!” Riddle, Woods, and Kingston all slowly have their smiles fade as Orton finishes his thought before stating that he will see them out there (in the ring) as he then heads off down the hall leaving Riddle and The New Day standing there watching him as we head to commercial break.

As we return from the commercial break, we again get the opinion of Virk, Saxton, and Graves in regards to current reigning WWE Champion Bobby Lashley going head to head with the former WWE Champion, Drew McIntyre which is set to take place later on in tonight’s broadcast.

Backstage – MVP

At this point we head backstage where we see The Hurt Business spokesman, MVP, making his way up to The Monster Among Men Braun Strowman’s dressing room door. Without an answer, MVP simply allows himself in to the unlocked room as we see Strowman speaking with someone in the room that is an associate of the WWE. Strowman feels the presence of someone else in the room as he slowly turns to look by the door where MVP is still standing with the door open. Strowman gives MVP a warning, telling him to “Get Out.”

MVP politely but sternly rejects the suggestion (or demand, rather!) as he begins by informing Braun that he came to “discuss business”. Strowman simply states that he’s not interested. Not one to give up that easily, MVP continues on with his speech as he informs Strowman that he should at least “hear him out”. Next MVP informs Strowman that Lashley didn’t beat Strowman last week, Drew McIntyre did. MVP then goes on to inform Strowman that the WWE Champion, Bobby Lashley, actually praised Strowman to MVP and stated that it would’ve been close if it weren’t for Drew.

Not too impressed with this “compliment” (if you wanna call it that!), Strowman begins to lose his patience with MVP who doesn’t seem to get the hint! At this point, MVP says Lashley isn’t going to lose the title… BUT if he did… he’d rather lose it to The Monster Among Men! This leads MVP to bring up how it would be just Braun Strowman vs. Bobby Lashley in a SINGLES Match if… somehow McIntyre were to, maybe… suffer an injury tonight?

An all out PISSED Braun Strowman states that he really doesn’t LIKE MVP. In response, MVP states that he understands and then adds that that a lot of people don’t. MVP then finishes by adding, “..but don’t take this personal, it’s just business.” MVP then let’s himself out to end the conversation that never should have been had in the first place.

Video Clip – (Last Week’s RAW) Damien Priest vs. John Morrison

At this point we head into yet another video clip from Last Week’s WWE Monday Night RAW where John Morrison was defeated by newly rostered to RAW, Damian Priest. We are then informed that Damian Priest has requested a match for the WWE WrestleMania Backlash 2021 pay-per-view and he will face The Miz.

Next we see WWE Official Adam Pearce sitting with Damian Priest in the backstage area as the cameras head backstage.

The Miz and John Morrison Interrupt

Suddenly out of nowhere the tag-team of The Miz and John Morrison come walking into the area where Priest and Pearce are having their conversation. Pearce then begins by stating that he called the THREE of them into his presence to discuss an “idea” that Priest had. This leads to John Morrison sharing that he had a better idea.

They then proceed to argue back and forth over last week’s match up. Priest pipes in and states if Morrison successfully defeats him tonight, Morrison gets to pick the stipulation for The Miz vs. Damián Priest one-on-one match-up at this weekend’s upcoming WWE WrestleMania Backlash 2021. This pleases Morrison until Priest adds, “….BUT” if Priest wins, he gets to choose, with no argument. A worried Miz clearly isn’t down with this idea, but Morrison interrupts and states firmly, “WE ACCEPT!” Miz immediately looks over at his partner, clearly unhappy with his friend’s quick response.

An unfazed John Morrison is seemingly quite confident that he can beat Damian Priest. On that note, The Miz and Morrison walk off as Priest is left with WWE Official Adam Pearce.

Elsewhere Backstage – Jinder Mahal

Next we head to a different area backstage where we come up to Jinder Mahal. To start, Jinder says nothing smells better than “fresh competition” (I say someone should get him a flower or maybe some vanilla candles… but i digress.)

Mahal then continues his sentiment by sharing that he is quite excited about being back on WWE Monday Night RAW! Mahal then adds that he’s not here alone….

Veer Is Introduced

At this point “Veer” is introduced (the former Rinku Singh). Jinder continues on to state that he will be “reminding everyone” just why he was once the reigning WWE Champion. On that note, Jinder and Veer make their exit so Jinder can prepare for his one-on-one match-up which is set to take place next on RAW!

Jinder Mahal vs. Jeff Hardy

At this point we return to the inside of the ThunderDome III inside the Yuengling Center at Tampa, Florida as we prepare to set up for the next match-up of the evening. Out first for this match is Jinder Mahal who is accompanied by Veer and Shanky as Mahal’s entrance theme sounds in the speakers. Mahal makes his way down the ramp and enters the ring along with both Veer and Shanky as we head to commercial break!

As we return from the short commercial break, we see Mahal standing in the center of the ring looking up the ramp as he awaits his opponent for the night’s festivities. The familiar sound of Jeff Hardy’s entrance theme sounds over the speakers for a pop from the audience of monitors filled with WWE fans. Jeff Hardy makes his way to the stage first where he stops to pose before he continues down the ramp and into the ring where he finishes his signature “entrance” around his opponent and opponent’s friends.

The music fades out as Hardy finishes his entrance and the referee moves to the center of the ring to signal for the bell. The bell rings and our next match up is officially underway! As Mahal prepares to move in on his opponent, Hardy, we see Mahal’s accomplices (Veer and Shanky) watching intently from ringside as we wait for the action to get underway. To start the action, Jeff Hardy immediately heads in on Mahal as he begins to unload heavy blows that powers Mahal into the corner of the ring.

Mahal looks for a way out of the corner when Hardy follows up with a Dropkick to take Mahal down to the canvas. Finally, Mahal comes alive as he attempts to fight his way out of his predicament. Hardy looks to hit a Jawbreaker, luckily Mahal is able to block the attempt and then quickly follows up by leveling Hardy with a Boot to the jaw! Hardy lands hard on the canvas which allows Mahal to go for the cover!

The referee drops down and begins to count, Hardy gets his shoulder up at the two as he kicks out to continue the match up. Hardy attempts to make his way back to his feet when Mahal begins to repeatitively Stomp away at Hardy to keep him laid out on the mat. At this point, Jinder continues to maintain control in the match up as he lands a Knee Strike to Hardy. Hardy attempts to fight back at this point, but Mahal continues to maintain as he looks to land a Vertical Suplex in the center of the ring to Hardy.

Next, Mahal delivers multiple Elbow Strikes and Knee Strikes to Hardy, keeping him on the mat in the center of the ring and not allowing him back to his feet. Mahal obviously knows if Hardy is able to gain momentum and turn on the fast paced action, he may lose dominance in the match up. Fed up, Hardy switches gears and turns on his ground game as he mounts offense and begins to Strike Mahal on the mat.

Both men make their way back to their feet at this point and Mahal looks for a Clothesline as he wants to put Hardy right back on the canvas again where Mahal looks most comfortable. Hardy looks to land an Atomic Drop on Mahal who is able to evade and counters with Clubbing Blows to Hardy which sends him into the turnbuckles in the corner of the ring. Finally, Mahal takes a Running Boot and a follow up Double Axe Handles for a pop from the crowd.

Hardy looks to finish the match with his signature Twist of Fate, but astonishingly, Mahal is able to evade the finisher and quickly follows up with a Jumping Knee. Finally, Mahal follows up with The Khallas in the center of the ring to take Hardy down. Mahal follows up with the cover, getting the three count pin and win victory!

Winner: Jinder Mahal

After the Match

Immediately following the match, Jinder Mahal celebrates his victory over Jeff Hardy as Mahal’s music sounds over the speakers in the ThunderDome III. This leads to both Veer and Shanky joining Mahal inside the ring as we head to the video replay of highlights and finisher.

Back in the ring, Mahal, Veer, and Shanky continue to stand tall on the apron as the crowd boos quite loudly in disapproval to end the segment.

Backstage – Sonya Deville

At this point we head backstage where we see WWE Official Sonya Deville, who is currently on her cell phone with someone in an important call (I feel a little rude imposing during her private call!) Finally Deville hangs up the phone.

Charlotte Flair Joins Sonya Deville

As if on cue, Charlotte Flair comes walking in to where Sonya Deville is standing and the two have in inaudible conversation as we exit the room (about a pointless segment other than to point out that Sonya answers her phone and occasionally talks to Flair in person).

Backstage – Sonya Deville

Next we head backstage where we see Jaxson Ryker and Elias as they discuss how they plan to get “payback” tonight. Suddenly a basket full of tomatoes is exposed by Ryker.

AJ Styles and Omos Walk Up

Just then, the tag-team of AJ Styles and Omos come walking up just as Elias begins to play a song that is about getting payback. Ryker has a basket full of tomatoes.

Styles interrupts and says there will be no tomatoes tonight. He goes on and tells them they are teaming with the RAW Tag Team Champions tonight, so take things serious. Omos grabs a tomato and squeezes it with his hand. AJ says they hate tomatoes. AJ and Omos walk off.

R-K-Bro & The New Day vs. AJ Styles, Omos, Elias & Jaxson Ryker

At this point we return to the ring inside the WWE ThunderDome III as the Eight-Man Match is about to get started. Out first is The Original Bro, Matt Riddle as his entrance theme sounds in the arena over the speakers. Riddle heads down the ramp and climbs onto the apron where he then jumps over the top rope, kicking off his flip flops as the pyro goes off around him to send us to commercial break!

As we return from the commercial break, the main event is hyped by the commentary team who are sitting at the announcer’s table at ringside before we head back to the ring where Matt Riddle is waiting in the center of the ring. The fans continue to chant, “Bro! Bro! Bro!” as Riddle waits for the remaining tag-team partners and opponents for tonight’s Eight-Man Match. Next, the entrance theme for Randy Orton sounds as The Viper makes his way out to the stage, then heads down the ramp and into the ring.

Riddle seems overly excited as Orton makes his way into the ring. Next Riddle watches as Orton does his signature poses in all four corners of the ring, Riddle in complete awe. The pyro goes off and we get a mixed reaction from the crowd. Out next comes The New Day’s Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods. Orton is a bit annoyed by all of his partners. Out next comes Elias and Jaxson Ryker for the other team. They wait on the stage for their partners. The music hits and out come RAW Tag Team Champions AJ Styles and Omos. Finally everyone makes their way down the ramp and enters the ring.

With everyone in or around the ring, the referee signals for the bell. The bell rings and our match-up is officially underway. To start the action, Elias is in first for his team as well as Matt Riddle from the opposing team to start the match off. Riddle immediately looks for a take down inside the ring as Elias evades at first. Finally Riddle successfully gets Elias down on the canvas, only to have Elias immediately scramble to make his way back to his feet. Next Riddle looks for an Armbar. Next, Jaxson Ryker tags in just as Riddle heads at him for a take down.

Next, Riddle takes Ryker down as the two trade holds inside the ring as the match continues. Immediately following, Riddle takes Ryker down with a Kick as he proceeds to taunt him. This leads to Omos making the tag to enter the ring. Omos hits several Strikes to the body of Riddle before tossing him across the ring like a ragdoll. Next Riddle looks for a Kick to Omos, but instead Omos catches the leg of Riddle as he follows up by putting Riddle on his back. Next Woods runs in, but Omos sees him coming and immediately knocks him out of the ring, and the same thing with Kofi.

Omos grabs Riddle and launches him down into the corner. Omos stares Orton down now as he comes into the ring. Orton rolls to the floor to re-group as we go back to commercial.
