WWE News: Cody Rhodes Still Expected in WWE; Planned to Face Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 38

It looks like the originally planned match between Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes for WWE WrestleMania 38 is back on or perhaps it was never off to begin with. Dave Meltzer spoke of the situation on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio and noted that the entire storyline with Rollins not having a “path to WrestleMania” was featured prominently on WWE Monday Night Raw last night and Rhodes’ re-entrance into WWE is going to provide that path to get Rollins to WrestleMania. Meltzer stated “The impression is that Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins is the WrestleMania match. He’s coming, that’s it. He’s coming. He’s wrestling Seth at WrestleMania unless something changes and I sure watched not thinking anything’s changing.”

WWE also continued to drop multiple hints and references to Rhodes throughout the broadcast, with Corey Graves noting that Rollins’ WrestleMania hopes had been “dashed” and that his dream has now become a “nightmare”, names that Rhodes himself has used in the past. There was also a reference to the “Colossus of Rhodes.”
