WWE News: Former Champion Shown Working Out At Performance Center Following Neck Surgery

Former WWE Champion Kevin Owens is back training for an in-ring return.

Owens posted a short video clip on X today, showing him working out at the WWE Performance Center. While he was not actually working out in the ring or doing anything related to wrestling, Owens was shown doing some short runs back and forth which would obviously be a big step in the right direction of a return.

Owens underwent a significant neck surgery this summer after initially being removed from storylines and matches before WrestleMania 41, where his opponent was scheduled to be Randy Orton. At the time his neck issues were diagnosed, there were some concerns on if Owens would be able to return to the ring rather than when but after finally undergoing surgery in July, Owens indicated that he was looking to be back in a WWE ring in 2026 without sharing any sort of definitive timeline as his return was primarily going to depend on his bones healed following the fusion surgery.

He also later revealed that the fusion surgery ended up being on the lower extreme of severity – a best case scenario.
