WWE News: Injury Updates on AJ Styles & Jeff Hardy

— According to pwinsider.com, AJ Styles made only one appearance over the weekend when he showed up briefly to save Shinsuke Nakamura from an attack by Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. Styles was originally supposed to team with Nakamura to take on Owens and Zayn, but was attacked with chairshots before the match began. Randy Orton then filled in for him for the remainder of the tour as Nakamura’s tag team partner.

— While Styles is dealing with some sort of injury, exact details are unknown. However, he is backstage at Raw tonight getting evaluated by WWE’s medical staff. Styles is booked into one of the top matches at WrestleMania 34, where he will be defending his WWE title against Nakamura, so it remains to be seen what impact his injury will have on that scheduled bout.

— Jeff Hardy is at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, FL today as he continues his rehab after undergoing shoulder surgery to repair a torn labrum and rotator cuff. He’s obviously at the Performance Center to work out in the ring as he has already noted that he’s completed the final round of his physical therapy last week.

— Hardy has been out of action since the fall of 2017 and was expected to join Matt Hardy in the “Broken Universe” storyline, but it remains to be seen if that happen now since Jeff was charged with DWI on 3/10 and has at least one court appearance scheduled for April 16. Jeff reportedly was part of the filming for the Ultimate Deletion match that is set to air on tonight’s Raw, but it’s unclear if the company will choose to edit his appearance out altogether.
