— The following are WWE news and notes coming out this week, mainly from Raw on Monday:
- Jey Uso had been planned to win the men’s Royal Rumble for “quite a while” while his pick of going up against Gunther was finalized before WWE January’s Saturday Night’s Main Event.
- As seen on Raw, Liv Morgan got cut open pretty bad by a knee but the early word backstage is that while she will likely require stitches, Liv is otherwise okay.
- Jason Jordan was listed as the producer for WWE Raw’s main event but Shane Helms continues to work with Logan Paul.
- Former TNA Champion James Storm was backstage at WWE Raw in Nashville, visiting with friends.
- Brian Parise was the writer for Jey Uso’s promo, Alexandra Williams was the writer for CM Punk’s promo and Chad Barbash was the writer for AJ Styles’ promo.
- WWE had originally scheduled LWO vs. A-Town Down Under as a match on the Main Event tapings, but it ended up being changed to a singles match between Penta and Grayson Waller.
- Chelsea Green was reportedly sick last week but still ended up appearing on WWE Friday Night Smackdown.
