The rumors ended up being true: Kevin Owens is dealing with a significant injury.
On last night’s WWE Smackdown, Owens came out and said that while he’s been able to wrestle for the last 25 years and take care of his family, he has paid a toll for it revealing that he has been dealing with a neck injury for the last four months. After being examined by doctors, it has been determined that Owens will need surgery and as a result will be sidelined indefinitely. He then shared that as a result, he will not be able to compete at WWE WrestleMania 41 against Randy Orton.
As Owens left the ring area, Orton came out and Smackdown GM Nick Aldis stated that due to Owens’ injury and the match being off, Orton no longer is on the WrestleMania card. An angry Orton then laid out Aldis with an RKO.
