An update on WWE superstar Drew McIntyre.

PW Insider recently shared a tweet from McIntyre regarding his Smackdown segment with Damian Priest the previous night. McIntyre had mentioned that while he wasn’t injured, a piece of glass had ended up in his eye.

After reaching out to additional WWE sources, we learned more about what happened after McIntyre returned to the United States. While it’s true that McIntyre received treatment for something in his eye following the segment, it turns out that what was removed was not glass, as originally suggested. WWE medical staff conducted a check on him before he left the arena, ensuring he was okay.

Sources also mentioned that McIntyre was seen wearing an eye patch backstage after the segment. He reportedly told those around him that the glass had been removed from his eye, though that appears to have been a misunderstanding.

As for today’s WWE live event in Austria, McIntyre is not there. However, it’s important to note that he was never scheduled to appear, so this isn’t an instance of him being pulled from the tour.
