As per a report by Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, this year’s SummerSlam PPV scheduled for August will be held in Nevada. It will be in front of a live audience as the company is already scheduled to go on the road starting in July. Other destinations considered were in Texas and in Phoenix.
— WWE also switched up the PPV schedule by bringing forward Hell in a Cell from its usual fall place and holding it next month – the last PPV in the ThunderDome. According to the above report, the reason for this is because WWE officials felt that Hell in a Cell would better fit the ThunderDome concept while Money in the Bank – traditionally in June – is better saved for when they are in front of a live audience. To that end, Money in the Bank is now slated for July and it will emanate from somewhere in Texas.
