WWE is scheduled to host the NXT vs. TNA Showdown special tonight, October 7th, at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.
According to Fightful Select, the current plan for the main event is a Men’s NXT vs. TNA Survivor Series-style 4-on-4 match. However, the report indicates that it is uncertain if this plan is still in place as of this week.
Tonight, WWE and TNA jointly present an NXT episode titled “Showdown” which will feature talent from both promotions competing against each other.
Earlier this afternoon, WWE announced that the opening match for tonight’s show will be the “Winner Take All” tag team championship match between reigning TNA tag champs The Hardy Boyz against NXT tag team champions, DarkState. The winning team will hold both sets of titles.
