Rey Mysterio is going under the knife after suffering a torn abductor.

The legendary luchador shared the news via Instagram Stories, revealing that he’s set to have surgery to repair the injury. Mysterio got hurt during the final SmackDown before WrestleMania 41, where he teamed up with Dragon Lee and Rey Fenix in a six-man tag match against American Made (Brutus Creed, Chad Gable, and Julius Creed).

The injury ended up costing Mysterio his WrestleMania appearance. He was originally scheduled to take on El Grande Americano, but Rey Fenix stepped in as his replacement. El Grande Americano ended up winning the match.

There’s no word yet on how long Mysterio will be out of action. He told fans he’ll share more details once he knows more about his recovery timeline.
