WWE’s 2025 Royal Rumble premium live event will be taking place on February 2nd in Indianapolis, and the buzz is building as the company gears up for one of its most anticipated shows of the year.

Fightful Select has released a new report revealing several interesting backstage notes regarding the big show. You can check those notes out below.

• There has been some chatter among WWE wrestlers about a “40-person” Royal Rumble match, but we can confirm this idea is not part of the plan and hasn’t been officially discussed or scheduled.
• As for the “Greatest Royal Rumble” concept, some have wondered whether it will make a return with WWE’s upcoming show in Saudi Arabia next year. However, there is no concrete information about it at this time.
• Regarding potential appearances from TNA talent at the Royal Rumble, we were told that it’s not outside the realm of possibility, given the ongoing partnership between WWE and the promotion.
•  The idea of a two-night Royal Rumble has come up in discussions, but as of now, nothing further has been confirmed.
• This year, TJ Wilson (Tyson Kidd), Petey Williams, and Kenny Dykstra are handling the production for the Women’s Royal Rumble match, though they themselves aren’t slated to compete.
• Several names from the SmackDown roster are expected to be in town for the event, including Damian Priest, Tiffany Stratton, Austin Theory, Grayson Waller, and Chelsea Green—though this shouldn’t come as a surprise since they’re all part of the blue brand.
• As for AJ Styles, PWInsider reported WWE’s hope that he’ll be available for the Rumble, and Fightful confirms that this is indeed the case.
• Other names like Dominik Mysterio and Natalya are also scheduled to be in Indianapolis for the Rumble weekend, but they haven’t been officially announced for the match just yet.
• Finally, WWE has some exciting community events planned on Friday with local students in Indianapolis, furthering their connection with the community ahead of the big event.
