WWE News & Rumors: John Cena’s Hint That Wrestlers Outside Company Could Compete In Ongoing Tournament

WWE has recently announced a 16-man tournament called “The Last Time Is Now Tournament,” which will determine John Cena’s final opponent for Saturday Night’s Main Event in December.

This tournament will feature stars from RAW, SmackDown, and NXT, and it is set to kick off on next week’s episode of RAW at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts.

In a video announcement this past weekend at Saturday Night’s Main Event, Cena hinted that non-WWE stars might also participate in the upcoming tournament.

This revelation has sparked curiosity among fans about which names from outside WWE could be involved. Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez discussed this on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio.

According to them, WWE is teasing that Adam Copeland and Chris Jericho could be possible participants. However, they noted that this is unlikely due to Copeland and Jericho’s existing commitments to AEW. Meltzer suggested that potential outside participants might include individuals like Matt Cardona.

Cena is scheduled to compete in his retirement match at Saturday Night’s Main Event on Saturday, December 13, at the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C.
