Consistent with rumors over the last several weeks and ever since he obtained his release from AEW where he wrestled as Miro, Rusev made his return to WWE last night on Raw. Deadline.com reports that Rusev has signed a two-year contract with WWE while also confirming that his partner, CJ Perry (aka Lana), has inked a Legends Contract.

While this has been the assumption for a while, WWE has quietly and officially “retired” the Universal championship. The title held by John Cena is known as the Undisputed WWE Title.

WWE backstage interviewer Cathy Kelley has been training recently at the Performance Center, according to a report by pwinsiderelite.com. She has reportedly been doing in-ring training as well as taking promo classes “secretly” for some time. It is believed WWE is eyeing the possibility of using Kelley in a manager-type role which would be interesting given that one of the main reasons former announcer Samantha Irvin left WWE is because she wanted to expand into these types of areas.
