WWE recently shared a new video on their Twitter (X) account, in which SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis announced that the current Undisputed WWE Champion, “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes, will defend his title against Drew McIntyre at next month’s Saturday Night’s Main Event special. This match serves as a rematch from WrestlePalooza, where Rhodes successfully defeated McIntyre to retain his championship.
The matchup was scheduled after Rhodes faced McIntyre in an impromptu title bout on last week’s episode of SmackDown. That match ended in a disqualification when Rhodes hit The Scottish Warrior with his championship belt.
WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event will take place on Saturday, November 1st, at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.
