WWE announced on X that due to a shoulder injury, Sheamus is not medically cleared to continue in the ongoing The Last Time is Now tournament to determine John Cena’s final opponent.

While not scheduled to compete tonight, Sheamus won his first round match against Shinsuke Nakamura earlier this month and was set to compete in the quarterfinals next Friday on Smackdown.

The WWE post implies that an update will be provided tonight on Smackdown, presumably with his replacement being announced.
