The OTC1 Roman Reigns made his return to WWE TV on Monday after an absence of nearly three months, having last been seen the day after WrestleMania 41. Reigns immediately aligned himself with Jey Uso, went after Paul Heyman’s new stable and was weary of CM Punk.
Reigns’ return to TV was always expected in this timeframe as the belief was that he would be worked into storylines in July in order to set up a match at SummerSlam. While not confirmed in the least, the direction WWE seems to be taking is a Reigns & Jey Uso vs. Bronson Reed & Bron Breakker tag team match though we may not have to wait too long to find out if that’s accurate or not.
According to WWE.com’s live events page, Reigns is being advertised for the next two episodes of Raw – July 21 and July 28 – which would be the final two Raw shows before SummerSlam in early August.
