WWE NXT “Halloween Havoc Go-Home” Results (10/21/2020): Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, FL.

The road to this month’s NXT Halloween Havoc 2020 continues, as WWE’s black-and-gold brand returns with their weekly WWE NXT on USA Network television show this evening.

I’m Jamie Rush and this is eWrestling.com’s WWE NXT Results for Wednesday, October 21, 2020 for the show starting at 8/7C on the USA Network.

As reported earlier WWE has announced that Undisputed ERA will look to bring home championship gold once again tonight as they challenge Breezango for the NXT Tag Team Titles. Elsewhere, Tommaso Ciampa, Kushida and Velveteen Dream will collide in a Triple Threat Match, plus Isaiah “Swerve” Scott teams with Jake Atlas & Ashante “Thee” Adonis to battle Legado del Fantasma in a Six-Man Tag Match and more. Catch it all tonight at 8/7 C on USA Network!

WWE NXT: Halloween Havoc 2020 “Go-Home” Edition Results (10/21/2020)

Show Opening

We waste no time after the “Then. Now. Forever.” opening for tonight’s October 21, 2020 edition of WWE NXT “Halloween Havoc Go-Home” Edition on the USA Network!
Kushida vs. Velveteen Dream vs. Tommaso Ciampa

We immediately head into the arena where Kushida is standing inside the ring to kick-off tonight’s WWE NXT on USA Network. Out next is Velveteen Dream as his music sounds in the arena. Suddenly Tommaso Ciampa appears behind Dream, taking him out on the ramp! Ciampa attacks Dream all the way to the ring, shoving him in under the bottom rope. Now it’s Kushida’s turn to take a few strikes at Dream. An all out brawl as ensued! Ciampa goes right by Kushida as he continues to attack Dream. Ciampa shouts, “This is my home!” as the brawl continues at ringside! Kushida gets a Running Knee delivered by Ciampa. Ciampa then runs across the floor and hits a Running Knee on Dream!

The match finally heads into the ring. Ciampa throws Kushida into Dream is in a violet cast for his injured hand. Kushida sends Ciampa off the ropes, Ciampa counters in the center of the ring. Dream is dragged into the ring as he holds onto Kushida and Ciampa gets a two for one take-down! Ciampa goes for the cover on Dream. Dream kicks out. Ciampa then attempts a cover on Kushida who also kicks out.

Back to their feet, Ciampa yanking on the injured left wrist of Dream! Ciampa then focuses his attention on Kushida in the corner of the ring! Kushida twists the arm of Ciampa as he looks for an Arm Bar submission. Ciampa holds on to the rope. Ciampa gets a Front Face Lock on Dream, then focuses on Kushida as the crowd gets hyped up! Ciampa hits multiple Chops on Kushida that ring through to Dream!

Kushida finally answers back with Chops of his own as he makes his way out of the corner, delivering Chop after Chop on Ciampa. Kushida then goes up and over. Big Right Hand and Kick by Dream to Kushida. Dream Valley Driver by Dream on Kushida. Ciampa with a Jumping Knee takes out Dream, sending him to the outside. All three men down (Ciampa and Kushida in ring, Dream at ringside) as we head to our first commercial break!

We return from commercial break and the brawl has once again made it’s way to ringside! Kushida takes out Dream on the outside, administering an Arm-Bar to the injured arm of Dream. Dream attempts to tap-out, but they are outside of the ring! Ciampa heads to ringside and breaks things up between Kushida and Dream. Hip Toss into an Arm Bar by Kushida. Ciampa refuses to let Kushida straighten his arm! Dream hits the Purple Rain Maker.

Dream covers Kushida for the win, Ciampa breaks things up! Ciampa delivers multiple blows to Dream in the center of the ring, then looks for the Fairy Tale Ending. Superkick by Dream! Dream hits the Dream Valley Driver on Ciampa. Dream again goes for the cover on Ciampa, this time Kushida breaks the cover! “The future is not yours! The future belongs to the Dream!” Dream states to Ciampa. Kushida and Ciampa take turns striking and kicking Dream.

Kushida flies over the top and wipes out Dream. Kushida runs across the ring and flies over the top to take out Ciampa. Back in the ring and Kushida flies over the top onto Dream again. Ciampa hits Widows Bell and looks for the Fairy Tale Ending. Superkick by Dream! Lots of fast paced action here! Ciampa looks for Fairy Tale Ending on Dream on the apron, Dream hangs on and connects with the cast, knocking Ciampa out!

Ciampa hanging lifelessly over the bottom rope as Kushida runs in and hits a German Suplex for the Bridge cover for the three count pin and win!

Winner: Kushida

Backstage – Undisputed Era

Adam Cole is on the monitor behind the other three members of Undisputed Era. Cole begins, “Boys and girls, the Undisputed Era has hit some road blocks. As you know, I’m still not medically cleared.” Cole goes on, “As for tonight though, Strong and Fish are going to successfully re-gain the tag-team titles!”

Strong states that the title returns tonight and that’s due to the “Rod and Bob” express. Cole states from the monitor, “…and that, is Undisputed!”

Looking to write her own page in the history books, Ember Moon’s first one-on-one match is up after the commercial break!

Announcement

During commercial, we learn that Dexter Lumis will take on Cameron Grimes at Halloween Havoc next week in a Haunted House of Horrors match.

Video Package – Rhea Ripley

We get a video package hyping up Rhea Ripley’s feud with Raquel Gonzalez ahead of their match at Halloween Havoc.

Ember Moon vs. Jessi Kamea

Moon sizes up Kamea before going into a collar and elbow tie up. Moon takes down Kamea and taunts her. She sweeps the legs out from under Kamea but lets Kamea get back to her feet.

Kamea hits a hip toss, then follows it up with a running uppercut, hitting Moon and covering her for two. Kamea hits a Snapmare, but Moon rolls through and stands up. Moon hits a dropkick and a stomp on Kamea. She follows it up with a Standing Moonsault, covering Kamea for two.

Moon locks in a Crossface on Kamea. Kamea rolls Moon into a pinfall, but Moon kicks out before one. Moon kicks away at Kamea on the mat. Kamea fights back with kicks of her own, but Moon catches a leg and locks in a modified half Boston Crab on Kamea. Kamea pulls Moon through, sending her face first into the turnbuckle.

Kamea hits a splash on Moon in the corner, then hits a spinning heel kick on Moon. Kamea hits a springboard kick on Moon and covers her for a very close 2 count. Kamea picks up Moon and tosses her into the corner. Moon hits a codebreaker on Kamea from the middle rope. Moon locks in a submission and Kamea taps out!

Winner By Submission: Ember Moon

After the Match

“I told you! I told you!” Moon shouts to the crowd.

Dakota Kai Attacks

Dakota Kai drags the legs of Moon and takes Moon down from ringside, slamming Moon’s face into the canvas. Kai grabs Moon by the hair and states, “If you think you can just use me, to put yourself back in the spotlight, think again!” Kai then walks off up the ramp as the crowd boos. Kai turns and looks back at Moon as she walks backwards on the stage.

Backstage Commotion

We see Bobby Fish limping as he states someone hit him from behind. The other members of Undisputed Era and an NXT Medic are assisting Fish down the hall to be examined as we head to commercial break.

Austin Theory vs. Bronson Reed

As we return from commercial break, Austin Theory is in the ring finishing his entrance for tonight’s match up. The crowd boos, Theory says, “Shut your mouth!” Out next is Bronson Reed! Reed comes out and stomps up the steel stairs to enter the ring with Theory. The referee signals for the bell. The bell rings and the match begins. Reed runs in at Theory in the corner of the ring for a Splash.

Commentary states we’re going backstage with Mackenzie Mitchell with an update on Bobby Fish. Fish is ruled out for tonight’s championship match, Kyle O’Reilly was medically cleared, so he is now in the main event for the tag-team championships! Fish is on his way for an MRI!

Back in the ring, Reed is going to work on Theory who is getting manhandled! Dropkick by Theory to rock Reed for a moment! Theory with multiple Chops on Reed, then locks his arms around the neck of Reed. The crowd hypes Reed who stands momentarily, Theory takes Reed back to one knee. Reed with strikes to the midsection of Theory, then thrown into the ropes and a Rushing Powerslam and a Senton by Reed! Reed attempts to head up top, Theory meets him and delivers a Chop to stop Reed from going higher.

Reed with a Forearm to the jaw of Theory. Reed with a Splash onto Theory for the cover and the three count pin and win!

Winner: Bronson Reed

After the Match

We immediately head into replays of Reed’s finisher! Boom! Across the abdomen!

Theory grabs a mic as Reed heads up the ramp. “Stop. No no no no!” Theory continues, “Stop right there! I’m the FUTURE of NXT! I am the future of WWE! I’m 23, I’ve done more in this business than you’ve done in your entire stupid 15 year career Bronson Reed. So get back in this ring, because I’m not going anywhere until I beat you!

Bronson Reed vs. Austin Theory (Take 2)

Reed heads back to the ring, as he climbs in under the ropes, Theory immediately begins delivering strikes to the head of Reed. Reed delivers a Samoan Drop for the cover and gets the three count pin and win… again.

Winner: Bronson Reed… again.

After the Match (again)

Reed signals “All talk” as he mouths the words, the referee raises Reed’s arm in victory. We head backstage.

Backstage

We are informed of the Xia Li vs. Kasey Catanzaro match which is later tonight, Li is asked about why this match is so important and why Kasey accepted. “In the past, you’ve been a friend to me, and I’m always up for a challenge.” Li states it’s important and the biggest match of her career, she has to win she states, she has to.

Six Man Tag Match up next with Legado Del Fantasma vs. Isaiah “Swerve” Scott & Jake Atlas & Ashante Adonis, when we return from commercial break!

Legado Del Fantasma vs. Isaiah “Swerve” Scott & Jake Atlas & Ashante Adonis

As we return from commercial break, Scott, Atlas, and Adonis are all standing inside the ring after their entrance during commercial break and Legado Del Fantasma are standing on the outside of the ring, all six men staring at one another. Raul Mendoza and Santos Escobar are laughing and smiling in a mocking way. The referee says, “Ring the bell”and Scott and Adonis jump quick but Escobar and Mendoza run to outside immediately. The three men in the ring go back to back as Legado Del Fantasma circle the ring. A slug-fest ensues!

Scott focuses on Escobar on the outside of the ring. Atlas unleashes his anger on Wilde. Adonis goes for the cover, and a kick out! Atlas is back in the match-up with a tag!Three Amigos! Atlas goes for the cover, Wilde able to kick out once more! Atlas with a stinging right hand! Atlas takes out all three men at once! Adonis is the legal man in! Swerve flies over the top taking out all three opponents as we head to commercial break!

Mendoza with a Springboard Moonsault! Adonis in trouble as he is sent into the opposing corner. Wilde tags back in. Spinning Back Elbow to Adonis! Escobar with Double Knees to the chest of Adonis in the ring. Mendoza tags in! Mendoza applying a submission to Adonis right in front of his partners. Mendoza stops on the right shoulder of Adonis. Knee to the back as Wilde tags back in.

Adonis finally creates some space. Atlas tags in and flies through the air! Wilde in, Atlas is taking out everything Legado Del Fantasma! German Suplex and a Forearm! A Jumping Leg Lariat by Escobar! Rolling Thunder Flatliner for the two count! Mendoza makes the tag and flies with a Back Drop! Jumping Kick to the face of Escobar! Mendoza takes care of Scott in the corner on the apron. Mendoza is taken down. Atlas with a Spanish Fly and EVERYONE is down at ringside.

Swerve gets Mendoza back in the ring. Mendoza counters the JML. Wilde breaks the cover as Swerve locks it in! Mendoza sends Adonis into Swerve inside the ring for the counter. Cartwheel DDT by Atlas on the outside! Wilde is legal!

Winner: Legado Del Fantasma

After the Match

The crowd boos as Legado Del Fantasma celebrates!

At Home With The Gargano

“Everyone knows Johnny Gargano hates wheels!” Gargano states as he sits at the table. Candice LeRae says she has a “Training Wheel” with a tiny wheel sitting on the dining table. Johnny spins it and it lands on “Buried Alive”. Johnny makes a face as he states, “Well that sucks! I’m gonna be buried alive. They’re gonna pour dirt on me. I’m alive man. What are we gonna do? It’s not gonna happen. What are the odds of that? One in a million?”

LeRae whispers, “…one in twelve…” Johnny says, “That’s great… just spin the wheel!” LeRae spins and gets a choice she likes and states she’s totally gonna beat Io, “This is great!” Johnny says, “You’re gonna be champion, and I’m gonna be six feet under ground.” Johnny says he’s gonna spin again.

“Casket Match” Johnny jumps up asking why the wheel wants him dead. He leaves the room saying he’s going to bed.

Backstage

Drake Maverick is jumping and preparing for his tag-team match behind Killian Dane who looks none to pleased as he turns and sees a smile on Maverick’s face that’s quickly removed as we head to commercial break.

Everise vs. Drake and Killian

Killian Dane immediately tells them to cut the music as Drake Maverick and Killian Dane make their way to the ring and their entrance theme sounds. Everrise is already in the ring. The referee signals for the bell and the match begins. Maverick starts things off for his team. Parker tags in and Maverick is being attacked. Maverick goes up and over, as Maverick leans back and tags in Dane. Dane enters and clears the ring. Chop Block on Dane. Single Leg Crab by Parker on Dane. Maverick is watching as his only friend is getting hurt in the ring as it’s shouted into his face.

Maverick begins attacking everyone with the chair and the referee calls for the bell.

Winner By Disqualification: Everise

After the Match

Dane looks shocked as he lays in the corner of the ring. Maverick realizes what happened as he says he’s sorry to Dane who approaches him. “That was awesome! That was the best thing I’ve ever seen! Where’s that guy been?!” The music sounds and finally Maverick dances to the music, but it’s a little too much for Dane, he isn’t dancing!

Backstage

We are told there is more commotion backstage, and we go back to see Roderick Strong out cold in the doorway of his dressing room as we head to commercial break!

Xia Li vs. Kacy Catanzaro (w/Kayden Carter)

Kacy and Li tie up. Li hits Catanzaro with a hop tops and seems to be much more aggressive on Kacy, using Kacy’s hair in a vicious manner. Li lays into Kacy with knees and pins Kacy three times, with Kacy kicking out every time.

Back to her feet, Kacy chops and strikes at Li. Kacy hits a running clothesline, then a flipping kick to Li. Kacy rolls up Li, pinning her for three.

Winner: Kacy Catanzaro

After the Match

Li is very upset, and she attacks Kacy from behind. Li shouts “I should have won!” Kayden Carter comes in the ring, but Li attacks Carter and tosses her out of the ring. Li lays into Kacy, but suddenly Raquel Gonzalez comes out and pulls Li off of Kacy.

Raquel bench presses Kacy Catanzaro and tosses her into Kayden Carter. Gonzalez stands tall in a ring full of bodies. Raquel gets on the mic and says that this (referencing the carnage in the ring) is what awaits Rhea Ripley next week.

Backstage Interview – Cameron Grimes

Cameron Grimes is interviewed backstage about his match with Dexter Lumis. Grimes seems to be hearing for the first time about the Haunted House of Terrors stipulation. Grimes says that he isn’t scared of Lumis and that he is “going to the moon” but with significantly less enthusiasm than usual, and we go to commercial break.

Timothy Thatcher is in the ring for a live edition of Thatch-as-Thatch-can. Thatcher gets the name of his student wrong as he locks in him in a cravat. “Alex” (Anthony) taps out immediately. Thatcher tells Alex to show some aggression. Alex tries to go for Thatcher’s leg. Thatcher rolls Alex into a double wrist lock. Alex taps but Thatcher doesn’t release the hold.

Thatcher wrenches all the way back and almost breaks Alex’s arm. Thatcher eventually let’s go. Alex gets upset. Thatcher says Alex will never be able to take his leg. Alex does and locks in a front face lock. Thatcher asks for a referee. Before the referee rings, the bell Thatcher punches Alex in the face. Thatcher puts Alex in a nasty single leg crab. Alex taps. Thatcher kicks Alex out of the ring.

Timothy Thatcher vs. Anthony

Thatcher stomps away at his student, then sits him in the corner and stomps away. Thatcher locks in a single leg Boston crab, and his student quickly taps out.

Winner: Timothy Thatcher

After the Match

Thatcher taunts his student and the crowd as the crowd boos him.

Video Promo – Damian Priest

We get a promo package from Damian Priest, talking about how confident he is about his match with Johnny Gargano at Halloween Havoc. Priest is getting a tattoo. Priest says that the difference between himself and Johnny can’t move on.

He says that he can take the pain of any match decided for them. He asks Johnny if Johnny can take it, and that’s the end of the promo.

Breezango vs. Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan

Breezango make their way down to the ring and we are told that the main event tag team title match is next, right after this commercial break.

We return from commercial break, Breezango is in the ring, as are Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch. Fandango starts off with Lorcan and they go at it. Lorcan with the first takedown. They lock back up and Fandango applies a headlock. They tangle and Fandango ends up nailing chops in the corner. Lorcan blocks a pin attempt and goes for a single-Crab, locking it in.

Fandango easily gets to the bottom rope to break the hold. Burch comes in and they double team Fandango. Burch goes to work on Fandango now, working on the arm. Fandango with a backslide for a 2 count after blocking an uppercut. Fandango rocks Burch and in comes Breeze to take over. Breeze with a suplex for a quick pin attempt. Burch fights out of the corner but Breeze sends him back in with shoulder thrusts. Breeze stomps away and the referee warns him. Breeze has words with the referee.

Breeze goes back to work on Burch in the corner. Burch rolls to the floor. Breeze follows but gets decked. Burch sends Breeze into the barrier. Burch makes it back in first as the referee counts. Breeze ends up slamming his leg into the ring post. We go to commercial.

We return and a kick out by Fandango as the crowd is chanting, “NXT! NXT!”

Breeze and Burch are the two legal men in this match up. Burch back up, Breeze attacking the left knee of Burch. Breeze heads up top, Burch drags Breeze in and goes for the cover. All four men laid out inside the ring. Stereo Superkicks wipe out Burch, then Lorcan! Fandango to the top rope, but he’s knocked off by mystery man that runs back under the ring. Low blow from Burch. Breeze is dropped for the three count pin and win!

Winners and NEW Tag-Team Champions: Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan

After the Match

Celebration! Mystery man hugs both men, a mask covering his face. Finally takes off his mask… Brian McAfee! McAfee announces the new winners and states “and that my friends… is UNDISPUTED” as he mocks UE’s pose!
