WWE’s Omos made a surprise, unadvertised appearance at Thursday’s NXT live event in Columbus, OH where he defeated Lexis King in a singles match. As crazy as it sounds, it is Omos’ first match for WWE in 2025 despite recently signing a new multi-year contract. Instead, he has been working with Pro Wrestling NOAH as part of WWE’s agreement with them as well as with an appearance at AAA Triplemania XXXIII, for a total of eight matches all year but for the affiliates rather than WWE itself. He last wrestled for WWE in April 2024 during the Andre the Giant Memorial battle royal during WrestleMania week.
Also at the house show in Columbus, NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne looked to have suffered an apparent leg injury while competing in a tag match with Fallon Henley against Sol Ruca and Zaria. While not confirmed by WWE, live fan reports suggest that Jayne may have hurt her quadriceps during the match and quickly tagged out when that happened. The ref threw up the “X” sign and after the match, Jayne had to be helped to the back by WWE’s medical team.
