- Axiom vs Oba Femi are scheduled to open the show.
- Eddy Thorpe vs Trick Williams for the NXT Championship will serve as the main event.
- Ethan Page is scheduled for a promo segment and Je’Von Evans is scheduled to be involved in it.
- WWE star CM Punk is backstage at tonight’s NXT. He was seen to be “openly hanging out” with talent during rehearsals but is not planned for an appearance on the show.
- Tonight is a double taping of NXT with next week’s episode (December 24) also being taped.
- NXT returns to the WWE Performance Center on Thursday to tape another episode that will air on New Year’s Eve.
