Winner: LA Knight
After the Match
Following the match, we see Knight stand tall as his music hits. He goes right to Gargano and taunts him. They have words over the NXT North American Title as the announcers hype the Gauntlet for Takeover.
Io Shirai Interrupts
The music of NXT Women’s Champion Io Shirai suddenly hits and out she comes to a pop. Shirai is fired up. She takes a mic and yells in Japanese. She drops the mic and here comes Raquel Gonzalez with referees trying to hold her back. Shirai meets her at ringside and they start brawling. Referees try to keep them apart as do the other female NXT Superstars from the locker room. Shirai goes into the ring with other women holding her back. Gonzalez fights free from those holding her back at ringside, and goes to the apron to attack.
Shirai ends up dropkicking her off the apron. Shirai goes to the top and leaps to the floor with a big splash, taking down Gonzalez and a big group of women. Shirai yells out and gets fired up at ringside as a “NXT!” chant breaks out. Shirai continues celebrating as her music hits and the announcers hype Gonzalez vs. Shirai as the main event of Night One of Takeover. We go to replays. The NXT go-home show for “Takeover: Stand and Deliver” goes off the air with Shirai standing over Gonzalez.
That's the show!
