Tonight on NXT, Axiom & Sean Legacy, and, Jasper Troy & Zachary Wentz battle it out in the first two rounds of the Men’s Speed Match Tournament, Leon Slater puts his TNA X-Division Championship on the line against Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo, Hank & Tank collide with Bronco Nima & Lucien Price of OTM, Ricky Saints and Trick Williams sign their Halloween Havoc NXT Championship Match Contract, Sol Ruca provides an update on her status and more!

After clips from last week’s NXT, the show opens with The Culling (Shawn Spears, Niko Vance, Izzi Dame & Tatum Paxley). Paxley gets on the mic to address her new No.1 Contender’s spot. Paxley is delighted that she has a title opportunity and says we’ve seen her at her lowest and she’s riding high because the fans have stuck by her side. Paxley thanks Dame for taking care of her and caring for her when everyone else was using her. She promises to bring gold to The Culling and then tells Dame they’ll go through the division together. Fatal Influence comes out and Jacy Jayne says she’ll be the bearer of bad news and tells Paxley she doesn’t stand a chance against her. Jayne, Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid now enter the ring and Jayne reiterates that Paxley will not defeat her as she is no longer the most beatable champion. Jayne tells Paxley that having “support” means nothing when you’re not special and barely even average. Jayne tells Paxley she should have let Dame win the Battle Royal because at least she has a shot. Paxley tells Jayne that she knows she’s trying to create drama between her and Dame and tells Jayne she should understand what it’s like being the underdog. Paxley says she’s gotten better and she’s ready. Henley tells Paxley that she hopes The Culling doesn’t ditch her when she lets them down. Dame tells Henley they’re not the ones who just kicked out their weakest member and The Culling isn’t like that. Jayne says Dame used to be a force and now she’s just Paxley’s babysitter. Paxley says it doesn’t matter because her friends are happy for her but can Jayne say the same thing? Dame and Paxley suggest they have a bout tonight and Henley and Reid attack Paxley and Dame. Reid and Henley get tossed out and Jayne gets her ass handed to her.
Channing Stacks Lorenzo is backstage with Arianna Grace. Stacks talks about Santino Marella calling him his future son in law and tells Grace to come out to the ring with him for his match. They walk off and we see Leon Slater and Je’Von Evans. Evans says they’ll focus on Halloween Havoc after he beats Stacks tonight.
Match 1 – TNA X-Division Championship Match: Leon Slater(c) w/Je’Von Evans -vs- Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo w/Arianna Grace
Slater gets Stacks in a waistlock off the bell. Stacks chops Slater and then goes for Slater’s left arm. Slater flips out of the hold and armdrags Stacks. Stacks gets monkey flipped out of the corner and Slater tries for another monkey flip but Stacks counters it. Slater tries for a sunset flip but Stacks kicks him. Stacks pounds on Slater in the corner and then delivers some forearms to Slater. Stacks runs into a boot by Slater and Slater takes him down with a headscissors and then a kick to the side of Stacks’ head. Slater hits a handspring elbow on Stacks and Stacks rolls out of the ring. Slater flies over the ropes onto Stacks and we cut to a commercial.
Back to the match, Slater dropkicks Stacks and hits Stacks with a back drop. Slater covers Stacks and Stacks kicks out at two. Stacks dodges Slater and rolls out of the ring. Stacks goes under the ring and comes out the other side and tries to sneak up on Slater but Slater catches Stacks with a kick. Stacks then drops Slater to the mat and kicks him in the stomach. Stacks sets Slater in an abdominal stretch submission. Slater counters out and covers for a two count. Stacks bounces Slater off the ropes and hits Cement Shoes and covers for a near fall. Stacks punches and slams down Slater and covers again but Slater kicks out. Stacks hits a Gutbuster and covers Slater for a near fall. Slater rolls up Stacks who kicks out. Slater then hits Utopia on Stacks and Grace goes to help Stacks. Grace is knocked off the apron into Evans’ arms. Stacks goes out to address this, Slater comes out and Stacks beats up Slater. In the ring, Slater hits a top rope cross body and then kicks down Stacks. Slater kicks Stacks against the ropes and sends him out of the ring. Slater jumps over the ring post onto Stacks outside the ring and then takes Stacks back into the ring. Slater hits a 450 Splash and gets the win.
Winner and STILL TNA X-Division Champion: Leon Slater
After the match, Evans and Slater get in the ring and Evans pumps Slater’s tires and then Slater suggests they team up at Halloween Havoc. Evans says it doesn’t matter who they face but it’ll be like a movie. Mr. Iguana and La Parka from AAA come out. Iguana asks if they’re planning on having Halloween Havoc without them. He says they spoke to Ava and she had the same idea and they tell Evans and Slater that they will be their challengers.
Match 2 – WWE Speed Tournament Match: Zachary Wentz -vs- Jasper Troy
Troy goes for Wentz off the bell and Wentz uses his quickness to avoid him. Wentz flips around some more and then kicks Troy in the face. Wentz hits a top rope headscissors and starts to punch and kick Troy. Wentz knocks Troy over the ropes and goes over with him. Wentz gets back in the ring and goes out for a suicide dive but is caught. Wentz tries again and this time drops Troy. Wentz hits a top rope Swanton on Troy and Troy kicks out of the pin. Troy tosses Wentz across the ring and bulldozes him. Troy takes down Wentz with a spinning slam and gets the win.
Winner: Jasper Troy
We see the women’s locker room kicking out Kelani Jordan from the locker room since she’s chosen to be the TNA Champion. Jordynne Grace comes out to support her and Jordan tells Grace that she’s jealous of her and not a fan.
DarkState comes to us in a video package and they talk about The Hardyz and how they took them out last week and how they’ll take the tag titles back at Halloween Havoc. Their video package gets cut off by one from The Hardyz. The Hardyz talk about how they have been around the block and how they’re waiting for DarkState. The Hardyz video package ends with them after they tour their property and walks into the Lake of Reinvention. The Broken Hardyz emerge from the lake and Broken Matt Hardy and Brother Nero tell DarkState they’ll have an anything goes”Broken Rules” match and DarkState is headed for deletion.
Sol Ruca and Zaria walk backstage. Ruca is in a leg brace and crutches. Zaria asks her if she’s sure she wants to do this and Ruca says yes and we cut to a commercial break.
We come back from a commercial break, Ava is in the ring with Sol Ruca and Zaria. Ava lets Ruca address the NXT Universe. Ruca says she got injured during her match on Friday on SmackDown. She says she is not cleared to defend or compete at Halloween Havoc. Ruca says she’ll earn her title back and Blake Monroe interrupts her. Monroe tells Ruca she’s sorry to hear this but she’s here to take her North American Title since she was supposed to have the match against Ruca and since she’s the number one contender she should be champion. Monroe says she’ll make the North American Championship glamorous as she had promised. Zaria says they don’t give handouts at NXT and Ruca earned this title. Monroe tells Zaria to stop fighting Ruca’s battles for her and says she’s the best prospect to take the title. Ruca tells Zaria she feels Monroe could be right. Zaria tells Ruca she’ll take her place at Halloween Havoc and defend the title in Ruca’s honour against Monroe. Ava says although it’s unconventional, she thinks it’s a great idea but it’s up to Ruca. Ruca says she fought hard for this title and there isn’t anyone she trusts more than Zaria so she agrees. Ava makes the match official. Monroe gets upset and gets in Ava’s face. Zaria grabs Monroe and slams her to the mat and poses with the North American Title above Monroe.
Tavion Heights and Myles Borne talk backstage and we see this through a hidden camera. They talk about losing their matches and Josh Briggs comes in and talks about being Matt Cardona. Briggs verbally attacks Borne and Heights and says there is only room for him at the top and leaves.
Match 3 – WWE Speed Tournament Match: Sean Legacy -vs- Axiom
Axiom and Legacy go at it off the bell. They flip around the ring and Legacy covers Axiom for a near fall. Axiom tosses Legacy down and covers him for a two count. Legacy kicks Axiom and hits a driver on Axiom and covers him for a two count. Legacy climbs the ropes and misses a 450 Splash and Axiom slaps him in an arm bar and Legacy battles out of it. Axiom kicks Legacy and hits a Spanish Fly and both men are laid out. Legacy punches Axiom and Legacy kicks Axiom and covers for a near fall. Axiom hits a jumping knee, and Legacy hits a forearm. Legacy climbs the ropes, Axiom joins him and hits a top rope Spanish Fly and gets the win.
Winner: Axiom
Match 4: Hank & Tank -vs- OTM (Lucien Price & Bronco Nima)
Hank & Tank attack OTM before the bell outside the ring. Tank and Price start off in the ring. Hank is tagged in and Price is double teamed. Hank covers Price and Price kicks out. Price throws Hank into the ropes and chokes him out on the ropes. Nima is tagged in and Hank gets double teamed by OTM and covered for a near fall. Hank gets smashed in the corner and Price is tagged in. Hank is double teamed some more and Hank gets assaulted in OTM’s corner. Nima is tagged back and Hank is double teamed but escapes and tags Tank. Tank takes out both Price and Nima and takes Nima out with a shoulder tackle off the middle rope and Price breaks the pin. Price takes out Hank who comes in to save Tank. Tank attacks Price and Nima slams down Tank with a tilt-a-whirl slam. Price is tagged in and Tank is double teamed and pinned.
Winners: OTM
After the match, Price and Nima attack Hank and Tank with the steel steps and slam Tank through the announce desk.
Wren Sinclair is on the phone talking about make-up. She stops Lash Legend and Sinclair tells her about the plans she has for NCQQ. Kendal Grey comes in and tells Legend she won’t allow Legend to be rude to Sinclair. Legend tells Grey to watch it.
Match 5: Fatal Influence (Jacy Jayne & Lainey Reid) w/Fallon Henley -vs- The Culling (Izzi Dame & Tatum Paxley)
Reid and Paxley start off. Reid kicks Paxley and punches her to the corner. Reid kicks Paxley in the corner and Paxley swings her across the ring and chops her. Paxley slams into Reid in the corner and Reid takes her down with a back drop. Jayne is tagged in and she punches Dame and Paxley goes to check on Dame and then punches Jayne. Jayne hits a leaping headscissors and Paxley comes by with a double underhook suplex. Paxley slams into Jayne in the corner and Dame is tagged in. Dame covers Jayne for a two count and then slams down Jayne. Dame goes to slam Jayne but Jane counters and gets Dame on the mat and covers her for two. Reid tags herself in and Dame is double teamed. Reid runs into a backbreaker and Paxley is tagged in. Reid is double teamed and Jayne runs in. Paxley takes out both Reid and Jayne with the help of Dame. Reid and Jayne double team Paxley and we cut to a commercial.
Back to NXT, Jayne collides with Paxley in the corner and tags in Reid. Paxley is double teamed and Reid hits a shoulder breaker on Paxley and covers her for a near fall. Reid beats on Paxley and stomps on her hands. Reid stops Paxley from tagging and Paxley kicks down Reid. Jayne is tagged in and Dame gets tagged in. Dame takes out Jayne and Reid and slams into both of them in the corner and hits a double mid rope codebreaker. Jayne is chokeslammed down and covered for a near fall by Dame. Jayne DDT’s Dame and Paxley tags in. Jayne superkicks Paxley and Paxley counters and slams down Jayne and covers and Reid breaks the pin. Dame runs in and takes out Reid. Paxley punches Jayne and Jayne punches her back. Paxley rolls up Jayne for a near fall. Henley gets on the ropes and Dame punches out Henley. Reid pulls Dame out of the ring, and Jayne hits the Rolling Encore on Paxley and gets the win.
Winners: Jacy Jayne & Lainey Reid
After the match, Henley and Reid beat up Dame and then Jayne, Henley and Reid surround Paxley. Jayne goes to clock Paxley with the belt but she kicks Jayne and takes out all three members of Fatal Influence. Paxley poses with the belt as Fatal Influence lays knocked out.
Ava is in the ring with the contracts for the Halloween Havoc main event. Security surrounds the ring and Ava introduces Trick Williams and Ricky Saints. Williams talks about how he waits for his opportunities and how he’s still the main event even though he isn’t a champion. He says he owes TNA and NXT nothing and he’s only loyal to Trick Williams. He vows to be a three time NXT Champion. Saints tells Williams to sign his contract and says he’s an emotional guy and wears his heart on his sleeve but at least he’s consistent. He asks about how much Williams changed after winning the title and that he has lost the plot. Williams tells Saints that Saints spent years grinding in the Indies and asks if he looks like someone who belongs in the Indies? He doesn’t because he has it. He tells Saints no one alive can replace Williams and at Saints’ very best he can be a stand in for Williams. Saints tells Williams he is the blueprint and Williams is trying to be like him and Williams cannot handle the dues he had to pay to get here. Williams and Saints get in each others faces and Williams punches Saints. Saints slams Williams through the contract table and poses with his title as Ava looks on and the show fades to black.
