Welcome to eWrestling.com’s WWE NXT Super Tuesday Results for September 1, 2020 airing on the WWE Network as WWE’s black-and-gold brand airs on a special evening this week from Full Sail University in Winter Park, FL!!

Tonight’s LIVE show is set for the a night of big names and rivals brought together in the NXT ring! NXT Super Tuesday is here and it figures to be one of the biggest nights in the history of the black-and-gold brand! Finn Bálor, Adam Cole, Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano will clash in an unprecedented 60-minute 4-Way Iron Man Match for the vacant NXT Title. Elsewhere, new NXT Tag Team Champions Breezango join forces with Isaiah “Swerve” Scott to battle Legado del Fantasma in a Six-Man Street Fight, plus Bronson Reed takes on Timothy Thatcher and more. Catch it all tonight on USA Network at 8/7 C!

Welcome to tonight’s SPECIAL EDITION of WWE NXT Super Tuesday edition! WWE NXT Super Tuesday begins with a graphic stating, “In Memory of WWE Hall of Famer “Bullet” Bob Armstrong 1939-2020″ who passed away last Thursday at the age of 80.

We are sent directly into a video package highlighting the matches set for tonight including the NXT Championship Four-Way Ladder Match.

Inside The Arena

We enter the NXT Arena on the campus of Full Sail University as the “fans” cheer to welcome us to tonight’s Super Tuesday show! From the commentary table, Vic Joseph welcomes us. He’s joined in the arena by Wade Barrett. WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix checks in from home.

Street Fight

Legado del Fantasma vs. Breezango and Isaiah “Swerve” Scott

Tonight’s six-man Street Fight kicks off as our first match-up of the evening as Legado del Fantasma is out first represented by NXT Cruiserweight Champion Santos Escobar, Raul Mendoza and Joaquin Wilde. Out next is Isaiah “Swerve” Scott with NXT Tag Team Champions Breezango with teammates Tyler Breeze and Fandango.

Legado del Fantasma, in street clothes, strikes first as their opponents get on the apron. They send them flying back to the floor and here come the weapons. Escobar uses a trash can while the other two bring a table into play. Legado controls around the ringside area for a few minutes. Mendoza has Swerve, who is also dressed to fight, in the ring now, working him over with the chair and trash can into play. Swerve counters and sends Mendoza head-first into a chair wedged into the corner. Breeze with a big Backstabber to Mendoza in the ring now. Santos continues to beat Fandango around the ringside area. Breeze drops Wilde over the barrier edge. Fandango sends Santos into a ladder.

The chaos continues in and out of the ring. Mendoza fights off Breeze in the ring but Fandango assists for a low blow. Swerve runs in and kicks a trash can lid into Mendoza’s face for a 2 count. Swerve drops Santos with a high knee. Fandango brings a fire extinguisher from under the ring. He hands it to Breeze and Breeze fills the ring up, forcing the heels to roll to the floor to recover. Breezango and Swerve celebrate after the extinguisher spray clears out. We go to commercial.

Back from the break and we saw how Fandango got put through a table during the break. Swerve fights off Mendoza and Escobar in the ring now. Swerve limps and nails a big Flatliner to Mendoza in the middle of the ring. Swerve kicks Mendoza in the head from the apron, putting him down on the floor. Escobar knocks Swerve to the floor with a big right hand. Escobar runs the ropes and nails a suicide dive, sending Swerve over the barrier. Wilde and Mendoza double team and taunt Breeze near the ramp now.

Imperium’s Fabian Aichner and Marcel Barthel run down and attack Breeze now. Breeze is the victim of a 4-on-1 beatdown now as the crowd boos. Imperium rolls Breeze in the ring where Escobar is. The 5 Superstars surround Breeze now, taunting him. Fandango and Swerve have moved a forklift over to the ring, above the turnbuckles. They’re standing high int he air on a pallet that the forklift is carrying. They leap off and take down all 5 heels in the ring. Fandango and Swerve then help Breeze clear the ring of Imperium and Legado del Fantasma for a big pop.

Swerve is left alone in the ring as Breezango runs the ropes and leaps to the floor, nailing a big double team dive on all the others. Swerve ends up hitting the JML Driver on Escobar in the middle of the ring for the pin to win.

Winners: Isaiah “Swerve” Scott and Breezango

After the Match

Swerve and Breezango celebrate as the music hits and we go to replays. Swerve stands tall on the forklift as the celebration continues.

Backstage

We see Johnny Gargano and Finn Balor backstage getting ready for the main event as we return to commercial break.

Video Clip – Tegan Nox

We head into a video from Tegan Nox, who talks about how her friendship with Candice LeRae changed. Nox says she will do whatever it takes, she just needs to fix the issues between them.

Candice LeRae vs. Kacy Catanzaro

As we return back to the ring, out first comes Candice LeRae. LeRae makes her way down the ramp and enters the ring for tonight’s match-up! Out next is Kacy Catanzaro with Kayden Carter. The referee signals for the bell and this match is underway!

They go to lock up but Catanzaro goes behind. Candice counters and sends her down. Catanzaro locks up and arm drags her. They tangle some more and Catanzaro sends LeRae flying with a head scissors. LeRae comes back with a stiff neckbreaker from the second rope. LeRae runs and kicks Catanzaro to the floor. Carter checks on her as the referee counts.

LeRae follows and tells Carter to back off. She rolls Catanzaro back in and has a few words for Carter. LeRae comes back in but Catanzaro counters and rolls her for a 2 count. LeRae comes right back and drops Catanzaro with an elbow for a 2 count. LeRae sends Catanzaro into the corner and charges with a back splash. LeRae with a Natural Selection for another close 2 count. LeRae sends her back to the corner and charges but runs into double knees. Catanzaro turns it around in the corner now and unloads as the referee warns her.

Catanzaro with a flying clothesline in the corner. Catanzaro keeps control and goes on for another close 2 count. LeRae counters a move and looks to apply a standing surfboard-type submission in the middle of the ring, but she quickly stomps Catanzaro’s face into the mat instead, knocking her out. LeRae covers for the pin to win the fairly short match.

Winner: Candice LeRae

After the Match

LeRae stands tall and looks over with a few words for Carter. We go to replays. LeRae takes the mic in the middle of the ring now. She brings up the video from Tegan Nox and how seeing Kacy and Kayden, she was a little jealous and distracted because they reminded her of the friendship she and Nox once had. The crowd boos louder and she tells them this is sincere. LeRae says if Nox wants to talk it over and hash things out, so does she. LeRae tells Nox to come by her house, dinner is on her. The music hits and LeRae makes her exit. Back to commercial.

Backstage – Rhea Ripley

We head backstage where Rhea Ripley announces she wants a Steel Cage Match with Mercedes Martinez where she can rip her limb from limb for sticking her nose in Ripley’s business.

Bronson Reed vs. Timothy Thatcher

Out first for the next match of the evening, is Bronson Reed as his music sounds in the arena. Reed makes his way down the ramp, entering the ring. Out next is Reed’s opponent, Timothy Thatcher. Thatcher slowly struts his way down the ramp, joining Reed inside the ring. The referee signals for the bell and this match is officially underway!

Back and forth blows between both men throughout this match. Thatcher dominates just a little more over Reed. Fugiwar Armbar by Thatcher is locked in on Reed. Finally, Bronson Reed is forced to tap, making Thatcher the victor of this evening’s match!

Winner by Submission: Timothy Thatcher

After the Match

The crowd boos as Thatcher celebrates his victory. We are sent into highlights from the match, Beth Phoenix calling the moves. Reed sits up in the corner and holds his elbow as the crowd boos Thatcher with his arms in the air. Thatcher taunts Reed and we go to replays. Thatcher stops at the top of the ramp, looking back at the ring as the crowd boos louder.

Backstage

We head backstage where we see Adam Cole pacing the floors with The Undisputed Era. We also see Tommaso Ciampa backstage preparing for the Main Event as we head to commercial.

Backstage – Mercedes Martinez

As we return from commercial break, Mercedes Martinez responds to Rhea Ripley calling her out for a Cage Match. Martinez states she loves to fight… and she can’t wait to take on Ripley!

60 Minute Iron Man Match For NXT Championship

Johnny Gargano vs. Adam Cole vs. Finn Balor vs. Tommaso Ciampa

Out first is Johnny Gargano as the match and it’s stipulations are officially announced. Gargano makes his way into the ring, awaiting his opponents for this 60 minute Iron Man match! Out next, representing Undisputed Era is Adam Cole! Cole raises his hands high as he makes his way down the ramp holding up two fingers as he states, “Two times, I been NXT Champion!”. Cole poses on the ring apron before entering the ring with Gargano.

Out next is The Prince, Finn Balor, as his music sounds in the arena. Balor struts down the ramp in his leather jacket and ring gear, jumping up and posing on the apron. Finally joining Gargano and Cole inside the ring, Balor poses once more on the top turnbuckle. Finally, Tommaso Ciampa makes his way to the stage! The psycho is back! Ciampa wearing a mask covering his face and a hooded jacket over his ring attire.

The referee re-enters the ring as each competitor stands in a corner of the ring. We head to commercial break!

As we return from commercial break, our Main Event match-up for WWE NXT Super Tuesday is officially underway!! Backstage – Mercedes Martinez

As we return from commercial break, Mercedes Martinez responds to Rhea Ripley calling her out for a Cage Match. Martinez states she loves to fight… and she can’t wait to take on Ripley!

60 Minute Iron Man Match For NXT Championship

Johnny Gargano vs. Adam Cole vs. Finn Balor vs. Tommaso Ciampa

The referee re-enters the ring as each competitor stands in a corner of the ring. We head to commercial break! The bell rings and Gargano rolls out of the ring, where he cannot be counted out. Smart move, let these guys tire each other out! Ciampa goes after Balor, hitting a Clothesline as Adam Cole is still recovering in the corner of the ring. Gargano goes for a surprise kick on Ciampa who turns and catches Gargano, knocking him out of the ring. A Knee to Gargano, followed by a Knee to Balor.

Ciampa exits the ring, hitting a Running Knee on Balor, then a Running Knee on Gargano, then finally a Running Knee on Cole. Balor back to his feet, throws Cole into the plexiglas at ringside. Back inside the ring a Backhanded Chop to Balor by Ciampa. A mix up of “Let’s go Ciampa!” and “Let’s Go Balor!” from the crowd. Ciampa and Balor go back and forth inside the ring.

Finally, Adam Cole re-enters the ring, tossing Ciampa to ringside. Balor with a blow to Cole followed by a kick, landing Cole on the middle rope. Balor grabs Cole and powers him into the corner. Balor delivers multiple Shoulders into the mid-section of Cole. Gargano back on the apron, Balor with a Strike sends Gargano immediately back to ringside. Balor begins getting Chopped.

Gargano re-enters the ring, dropping Balor with a Neck Breaker, mocking The Prince with his hand guns. Gargano with the first fall on Cole who kicks out! Gargano assists Cole back to his feet, still in control of this main event match-up! A viscous kick to the elbow of Adam Cole by Johnny Gargano! Gargano walks back over to Cole and gets a Standing Chin Lock!

Cole with a Strike, followed by a Clothesline, finally a Neck Breaker on Gargano. Balor gets covered by Cole after a quick come up, Balor kicks out. Rolling out of the ring. Balor and Ciampa now go head-to-head inside of the ring. Balor gets a Chin Lock locked in on Ciampa, still holding strong as we head to commercial break!

As we return from commercial break, a Punt Kick from Adam Cole on Johnny Gargano. Gargano kicks out at two. Adam Cole looks for the Panama City Sunrise. A Roundhouse Kick followed by a Knee from Ciampa to Cole. Gargano, Balor, Ciampa, and Cole are all laid out in the center of the ring. The crowd pops!

Cole back to his feet, with a massive kick to Ciampa. Balor back to his feet, shoving Ciampa into Cole. Balor puts Cole on the top rope. The Prince building momentum. Ciampa decimating the field! Gargano grabs Ciampa’s feet and pulls him into the ring post. Gargano jumps in trying to get the cover quickly on Ciampa, who kicks out. Then attempts Balor, who also kicks out!

Balor gets the cover on Gargano, who kicks out at two! Sling-blade, Balor with a Double Foot Dropkick in the corner on Gargano, Balor then goes up top. Ciampa goes for the cover on Balor who kicks out too! No covers as of yet in this match!Gargano works on Cole in the corner, unloading to keep him down as the crowd boos.

Cole and Gargano tangle some more. Cole with a big pump kick to the face. Cole drops Gargano over his knee with the nNeck-breaker but Gargano still kicks out at 2. Cole keeps control now as the crowd rallies. Cole goes to the second rope for the Panama Sunrise but Gargano dodges it and Balor runs in. Gargano drops Balor with an Enziguri.

Cole Super-kicks Gargano. Ciampa and Cole go at it now but it ends with both getting dropped as Cole hits a kick to the head but Ciampa comes right back with a knee to the face. The crowd chants “NXT!” now.

Ciampa grabs Cole from the mat but Cole kicks his leg out. Cole goes to the corner but Balor shoves Ciampa into him. Balor sends Ciampa to the floor. Balor unloads on Cole in the corner now while Cole is still sitting on the top. Balor focuses on the leg, getting aggressive now. Balor climbs up for a Superplex but Ciampa runs in and slams them both to the mat with the super Tower of Power-bomb.

Gargano reaches in from the floor and pulls Ciampa’s legs out, sending him down face-first. Gargano comes in with a pair of 2 counts. Gargano chops away on Balor in the corner now, then hits shoulder thrusts and more offense. Gargano takes Balor to the top and runs across the ring but Balor slides out. They tangle and Balor hits the big 1916 in the middle of the ring but Gargano kicks out just in time.

Balor kicks Cole off the apron to the floor, then hits a Slingblade on Gargano. Balor runs and dropkicks Gargano into the turnbuckles. Balor climbs to the top and goes for Coup de Grace but has to roll through as Gargano moves out of the way. Ciampa runs right in and hits Balor with the Air Raid Crash in the middle of the ring but Balor kicks out at 2. We go to a picture-in-picture commercial.

As we return from commercial break, Balor is delivering Chops to all three opponents over and over. Balor walks back and forth striking each opponent seperately. Balor locks in a Single Leg Crab as Balor sinks deeper and deeper, Ciampa grabs the ropes. Balor paces the ring, stopping to kick Cole on the outside. Dropkick by Balor. Balor rolls through off the top and Gargano and Cole with a Stereo Superkick by both. We head to commercial break once again.

Three minutes left in the match, Ciampa limps and inside craddle, Ciampa kicking out at 2.9999. Only 90 seconds left of the match. Ciampa walks up to a squirming Gargano. Ciampa with a Chop. Ciampa puts Gargano on the top. Ciampa with a Strike. Ciampa crawls up, lifting Gargano. Ciampa drops Gargano. Suddenly, Balor with a Double Foot Stomp to the stomach of Ciampa. Cole with a strike and a three count on Balor. Cole and Balor both have 2!

Balor and Gargano argue as William Regal comes out. Here’s what we’re going to do, next week, on Super Tuesday 2, you two will face each other and the winner will be the new NXT Champion!

Winner: To Be Determined!
