How will this reign be different than the last?

Clips are shown of Balor smiling through signings, public appearances, etc. As Balor states he built the brand through those motions. “I don’t need the brand, I made the brand, now the brand needs me.” Doesn’t matter what country, what brand, or what night, I’ve been fighting for 20 years to be champion. So now it’s time for people to start fighting to face the champion. So form a q, because the line starts here. You better look both ways, before you cross the Prince.”

“Let’s make something perfectly clear, Austin Theory is a future first ballot Hall of Famer. Bronson Reed, I hate bringing you up, but last week was a fluke. I’m gonna prove that right now. At least I’ve changed for the better! I gave you the opportunity of a LIFETIME and how do you repay me? (Johnny Gargano chimes in, “By breaking our freaking TV! ok Can you believe this is how we are spending our four year anniversary??? it’s ok Watching this crappy tv in the guest bedroom? I haven’t gone downstairs in a week.

Candice LeRae continues to humor Johnny Gargano’s rant about Tegan’s destroying the living room during her visit that went awry last week. “i know There’s spaghetti everywhere. Anyway…” Candice LeRae continues, “Mr Regal has informed me that next week there will be a Women’s Battle Royal and the winner will go on to take on Io Shirai for the NXT Women’s Title”

Vignette – Tegan Nox

As we return from commercial break, we immediately head into a video where Tegan Nox explains about how Candice has changed. The LeRae she knew definitely wouldn’t sit around and listen to her husband whine about a $200 TV that she broke, just so he can watch himself lose on it. It boils down to Candice wants a lackey, while Tegan just wanted her friend back. But that’s okay, next week she’s gonna win the battle royal, and she can’t wait to see the look on Johnny’s face when it happens. She also warns Io that this time, she won’t come up short.

Maverick isn’t aware of this and takes Fish into the corner. Strong comes up behind him and takes him down with a snap suplex. Strong taunts Maverick then hits a Uranage backbreaker for a two. Strong rolls Maverick to his stomach and locks in a modified camel clutch. Maverick is trying to battle back as we’re repeatedly reminded that he has no partner tonight. Maverick gets to his feet and shoves Strong into the corner. Maverick throws his shoulder into Strong but Strong overpowers Maverick and hits another Uranage backbreaker! We see on the monitors in the back that Dain is watching the match with others and laughing, and we head to commercial break.

As we return from commercial break, Fish is working over Drake when we see General Manager William Regal step to Dain. The big Irishman argues that he didn’t sign up for the match, but gets up and heads to the ring just as Maverick is thrown to the floor. He picks up Drake and tells him to get in the ring and lose like a man. TUE mock him and tell him to keep steppin’. He turns around and they throw Maverick at him.
