Welcome to EWrestling’s live NXT Results and coverage as WWE’s black-and-gold brand returns this week at Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida for the June 24th, 2020 edition of NXT On USA.

Tonight’s WWE NXT on USA Network has one of the most pivotal matches in NXT history this week! Keith Lee will defend his NXT North American Title against Finn Bálor and Johnny Gargano with the winner challenging NXT Champion Adam Cole in a Winner Take All Match on July 8. Elsewhere, Karrion Kross is back in action against Bronson Reed and Damian Priest goes one-on-one with Finn Bálor.

WWE NXT RESULTS (6/24/20): WINTER PARK, FL.

Show Opener

To kick off tonight’s edition of WWE NXT on USA Network, Ranallo immediately sends us to a video clip

“One Hour Ago” Video

We see Cameron Grimes running from the scene of what looks to be some sort of accident where he tells the cameras, “Might wanna check on Priest, he seems, scorched.” We then walk up on Damian Priest’s legs hanging from beneath an open car door

In-Ring – Cameron Grimes

Are you kidding me? Priest is going to “no-show” the biggest show of his career? Grimes states he fought Finn Balor with a broken jaw due to Priest. Grimes states a ref needs to come in and raise his hand, because Priest isn’t gonna make it.

Damian Priest vs. Cameron Grimes

Suddenly we see Damian Priest limping in the ring as officials attempt to stop him. Priest rolls into the ring, Grimes begins to stomp a tapped up Priest who has his broken ribs damaged. The bell rings and the match begins! Priest fighting the good fight as Grimes continues to attack the injured ribs of Priest. Priest sends Grimes off the ropes, Grimes stops short and counters, avoiding the Chokeslam.

Grimes in the corner, Priest goes for a Back Splash, Grimes side-steps causing Priest to injure himself more. Grimes begins to tear at the bandages, Priest counters with a Chokeslam. Both men laying on the canvas injured as the crowd is hyped and clapping and stomping in unison. Grimes looks to be walking up the ramp to exit, Priest follows Grimes to ringside. Grimes runs back and slams Priest into the apron. Priest goes for the Razor’s Edge, Grimes kicks out onto his feet.

Grimes hits a Double Foot Stomp to the chest of Priest on the outside. Priest returns to the ring, beating the count. Grimes is furious. Grimes crashes into the corner. Priest struggles to his feet, Grimes hits the Caveman for the three count pin and win!

Winner: Cameron Grimes

“Earlier Today” Outside – Rhea Ripley Interview

Rhea Ripley is being interviewed outside about Io Shirai when Robert Stone walks up and states he’s giving Ripley a second chance. Stone asks if Rhea Ripley wants to get “on board” with his brand, Rhea Ripley punches Stone in the gut then throws Stone into the trash can outside.

At this point Aliyah comes running up and shouts at Rhea Ripley “just because your career is in the trash, does not give you the right to throw my manager into the dumpster!” Rhea just laughs. Aliyah then slaps Ripley who looks shocked but smiles and says Aliyah just got a golden ticket to her ring, for a match.

We head to our first commercial break of the evening!

Backstage Promo

We see Timothy Thatcher backstage, doing “Thatch as Thatch Can” Thatcher continued to overdo his training, this time using a Kneebar and Arm Trap hold. Thatcher told the students to line up in front of him.

He said the most important part of the training is they all had fun.

Santos Escobar vs. Jake Atlas

As we return to the ring, we first get a short video clip from last week’s NXT when Legado del Fantasma, led by Santos Escobar, took out Drake Maverick and he was taken away on a stretcher. Escobar is out first with his henchmen, followed by Jake Atlas.

Both men lock up and Escobar takes Atlas back to a corner. The ref counts to break it, and Atlas takes advantage, coming out swinging. Atlas hits a crossbody, followed by slapping Escobar down on the mat repeatedly. Atlas gets Escobar in the corner and lays in punches until the ref breaks it up. Atlas Snapmares Escobar into a Rear Chin Lock, slowing the pace a bit.

Escobar struggles and finally gets out of it and attempts to mount offense but Atlas immediately takes control, sending Escobar into the corner. Atlas hits an Arm Drag, then throws multiple strikes at Escobar on the canvas. Escobar heads to the corner where the ref forces the break.

Atlas picks up Escobar and hits a huge Backhand Chop, sending Escobar to the mat. Atlas picks him up and hits another, but Escobar stays to his feet. Whip to Atlas, who counters with a Springboard. Atlas on the apron, and is distracted by Escobar’s men, allowing Escobar to blindside him and send Atlas to the floor. We return to commercial break!

As we return from commercial break, lots of back and forth action between the champion and his opponent in the Full Sail University ring! The crowd tries to pump Atlas up. Escobar whips Atlas then hits an exploding back elbow, covering for a two.

Atlas hit Esocabar with a face driver for a two count. Escobar crotched Atlas on the top rope. Escobar gave Atlas a knee, followed by the Phantom Driver (Thrill of the Hunt) for the win.

Winner: Santos Escobar

“Earlier Today” – Undisputed ERA

We see that earlier today, Undisputed ERA took Roderick Strong back to Dr. Kyle O’Reilly. Roddy says he’s ready to face his fears and get in the trunk, so Kyle reveals himself. Outside, Roddy does get in the trunk and is hyped he pulled it off, so Adam Cole tells him tonight he’ll also face Dexter Lumis. Strong doesn’t seem as excited about that.

Backstage – Malcolm Bivens and Indus Sher

We head backstage where McKenzie Mitchell is interviewing Malcolm Bivens along with his clients, Indus Sher. Bivens said he’s pissed off to a high level of “pissivity”. Bivens makes note of how Rinku And Surav were attacked by Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch for no reason last week. Bivens said that if he didn’t hold back Indus Sher, they would be in an ambulance. Rinku and Saurav both cut promos in their native language to end the segment.

Kacy Catanzaro & Kayden Carter vs Dakota Kai & Raquel Gonzalez

All four female superstars make their way to the ring (Kacy and Kayden first, then Dakota and Raquel) as their entrance themes play one by one respectively until all four women are inside the Full Sail University ring. The referee signals for the bell, the bell rings and the match is officially underway!

To start things off, Carter is all over Gonzalez. Catanzaro Chop Blocks Gonzalez from behind. Catanzaro flips off of Carter but is caught by Gonzalez. Carter and Catanzaro team up and hit a Double Drop Toe Hold Gonzalez. At this point, Kai tags in.

Carter tosses Catanzaro in the air. Catanzaro lands on Kai with a Thez press. Gonzalez attacks Catanzaro from behind. Kai and Gonzalez work over Catanzaro. Carter gets the hot tag and clears the ring. Wheelbarrow kick by Carter. Kai kicks out. Gonzalez powerbombs Catanzaro. Kai puts Catanzaro in a seated octopus hold. Catanzaro taps out.

Winner: Dakota Kai & Raquel Gonzalez

Karrion Kross w/ Scarlett vs. Bronson Reed

“Fall and pray…” the duke and duchess of doom make their way to the ring first with Scarlett singing along to the entrance theme. The two pose inside the ring. Out next, Bronson Reed quickly makes his way down the ramp, entering the ring with his opponent.

Kross immediately walks up to Reed. Reed takes Kross off his feet. Kross makes his way back to his feet, and attacks Reed asking “is this what you wanted?” Kross grits his teeth daring Reed back to his feet. Kross picks up 330 pound Reed hitting a Suplex. Reed in the corner, Kross runs full force, and Reed leaps with an Inzuguri then a German Suplex on Kross! Kross returns quickly to his feet and the two exchange blows inside the ring! Reed with a kick to the face of Kross, Kross in the corner growls and shouts, gritting his teeth and hitting a Northern Lights Suplex followed by a Clothesline. Reed on his knees, struggles up to his feet. Doomsday by Kross, Kross then applying the Kross Jacket for the tap!

Winner: Karrion Kross

After the Match

The referee lifts Kross’s hand in victory to which Kross scowls at her, she lets go. Scarlett enters the ring, holding Kross’s hand in victory as we go to highlights!

Backstage – Adam Cole Interview

McKenzie asks Adam Cole who he would rather win in the match tonight that will go on to fight Cole for the championship. Adam Cole states he’s not the average man bay-bay. So he will face “whoever” as the result will be the same. Cole says he wants to make sure his mantel has enough room for one. more. championship.

Rhea Ripley vs. Aliyah (with Robert Stone). We head to commercial break.

Rhea Ripley vs. Aliyah

As we return from commercial break, entrance music sounds for Rhea Ripley as Ripley heads to the stage in her spiked leather jacket as she makes her way down the ramp and climbs the apron for her tongue-out pose before entering the ring awaiting her opponent for this evening.

Out next is Aliyah accompanied by Robert Stone as the two make their way down the ramp towards the ring. Aliyah quickly makes her way up the steel stairs and flips into the ring along with Rhea Ripley. Robert Stone enters, clapping and pointing at Ripley. The referee signals for the bell, the bell rings and the match begins.

Ripley chases Aliyah immediately, Ripley lifts Aliyah and tosses her across the ring. Ripley goes for another toss, Aliyah off the ropes, running right into a Dropkick by Ripley. Aliyah exits the ring toward Robert Stone. Aliyah snaps Ripley’s neck off the top rope as she gets onto the apron. Aliyah heads up top for a Crossbody, Ripley catches her.

Aliyah with a kick to Ripley, Ripley with another Clothesline. Then another Clothesline followed by a series of Knees. Ripley with the Side Press after mocking Robert Stone. Ripley lifts Aliyah into a submission move when Robert Stone throws a shoe at her. Ripley chases Stone out of the ring then back into it.

Aliyah looks to take advantage, grabbing Ripley for a roll up, Ripley grabs Aliyah hitting the Rip-Tide for the three count pin and win!

Winner: Rhea Ripley

Backstage – Johnny Gargano

Backstage we see Johnny Gargano in his dressing room pacing the floor as he awaits his Triple Threat Match tonight with Finn Balor and North American Champ, Keith Lee.

Quick Announcement

Announced for after the break is Roderick Strong vs. Dexter Lumis, will Strong concur his demons? We head to commercial break!

Dexter Lumis vs. Roderick Strong

As we return from commercial break, 239lb Dexter Lumis makes his way to the ring to the creepy house music entrance theme as he stares a hole through my computer screen after crawling across the ring.

Out next is Roderick Strong as his entrance theme sounds. Strong looks as if he doesn’t want to head down to the ramp, then attempts to run backstage, but is stopped by Undisputed ERA teammate, Bobby Fish. Fish hypes Strong as he gets to ringside, Strong enters the ring, slapping his chest.

The referee signals for the bell, the bell rings and Strong jumps around trying to psych himself out. “I’m not ready, I’m not ready, it’s too soon.” Strong exits the ring. Fish tells the ref to get Lumis out of the corner like that. Lumis just stares Strong down as he stands still. Strong exits the ring once again. Fish shouts, “You are ready, you’re born to do this!”

Strong responds, “I hate this. I hate him.” Strong jumps back in the ring. Lumis takes a step forward, Strong jumps out one last time and states, “I’m done.” Lumis exits the ring behind Strong, stalking him. Strong tries to escape, running into the Plexiglas. Lumis returns to the ring as the referee makes it to nine. The referee hits 10. The bell rings.

Winner via CountOut: Dexter Lumis

After the Match

Lumis crawls across the ring and grabs Fish who is still shouting to Strong, almost getting him in a Chokehold. Fish luckily gets away.

Robert Stone is talking to William Regal stating he needs a re-match. Aliyah stands next to Stone, Regal then states it’s a great idea, adding Stone will fight as well. Stone agrees to fighting as well, adding that when he and Aliyah win, Ripley will have to join his brand.

Regal objects, though Ripley walks in and smiles saying hello to Regal on the screen, stating she’s good with those terms and tells Stone she will see him next week, then walks off.

Triple Threat Match
North American Champion Keith Lee vs. Johnny Gargano vs. Finn Balor

Out first for tonight’s match up is Johnny Gargano as his music sounds in the Full Sail University arena for tonight’s main event. Out next is Finn Balor as his music sounds, Balor makes his way to the stage “Prince” written above his head before he makes his way down the ramp, joining Gargano in the ring.

Finally, the North American champ Keith Lee makes his way down the ramp and enters the ring. The referee signals for the bell, the bell rings and tonight’s main event is officially underway!

To start things off, the North American Champion Keith Lee manhandled both the smaller Gargano and Balor; tossing them around and throwing strikes at both superstars. We head to commercial break.

Lots of back and forth action as we return from the commercial break. We see Balor targets Gargano, Lee lifts Balor to the top, Balor looking for the Sleeper on Lee. Lee falls to one knee, Gargano takes advantage kicking Balor off of Lee. A DDT over the top rope on Balor by Gargano for a two count, Lee breaks it up.

Balor targets Gargano, Lee lifts Balor to the top, Balor looking for the Sleeper on Lee. Lee falls to one knee, Gargano takes advantage kicking Balor off of Lee. A DDT over the top rope on Balor by Gargano for a two count, Lee breaks it up. Lee takes out Balor, Lee rolls out of the ring. Gargano off the ropes, a Tope by Gargano. Gargano re-enters the ring going for a Tope on Balor.

Lee Pounces at both Gargano and Balor. An awkward landing by all three. Lee re-enters the ring with Balor. Lee lifts Balor, Balor reverses into a Double Foot Stomp on Lee. Balor moving quickly for a move, Gargano intercepts with a Superkick on Balor, then on Lee in the corner. Lee falls on top of Gargano.

Balor heads to the top, Lee grabs Balor by the throat, a Knee by Gargano with a roll up on Lee. Lee kicks out a hair before the three! The Bucko Bomb on Balor with Gargano. Lee ducks as Balor hits a de Grace on Gargano, Lee hits a Power Slam on Balor for the three count!

Winner: The Limitless KEITH LEE

After the Match

Lee holds the championship belt high as he stands tall in the center of the ring as we go to replays!
